Nur Hier locations are all over the place in Hamburg (think Starbucks in SF), but, since they're franchises, service and quality tend to cover a fairly wide spectrum. This location is definitely one of the smallest, but the owner (or at least I assume he's the owner) really cares about his customers and his products. He works fast whenever he sees there is a line forming, and he happily provides advice on how to best keep/eat the various breads (whether I understand anything he says is an entirely different issue altogether). Prices are great as well. There's not much sitting room inside, if any, but they do have a table or two outside if it's not too cold or raining. Although I often see someone having a coffee and pastry there in the morning, I'd say this is more of a grab-and-go location than a sit-down one. read more
