The restaurant is in a corner of the building and it isn't very easy to find - it's not visible from the street. The safest way to find this place is to ask someone where it is :-) We began our meal with their fresh corn soup. It's quite good - garnished with fresh watercress and very creamy. We followed that with the sliced sirloin tacos. These don't resemble fast-food variety tacos at all; they're quite delicately seasoned and totally delicious. My friend had the fresh pasta. It was stuffed with corn, and served with a spinach sauce and creamy zucchini - a creative and completely delicious dish! Our cocktails weren't all that wonderful, but they were strong and arrived quickly; next time, I think I'll stick to beer, which is my usual preference with Mexican food anyway :-) The service was efficient and quick, and the ambiance was trendy and casual. All in all, our lunch experience was exceptional, and I heartily recommend La Central to anyone who happens to be in downtown Sao Paulo and loves good Mexican food.

The chef was very nice and presented us with the complimentary dish which I believe was the Torresmo. The drinks are amazing and that smoke meat platter was pork and onions which was super tender and juicy. The recommendations from the server to try are the "Baião-De-Dois which is composed of rice beans. Update the food is inspired from NE Brazil which has an amazing presentation. The food is made with love and has a very home feel. The medium dish serves 3-4 people with ease. A definite must try if you are in São Paolo. I was really impressed with the selection. I was shocked to see that they actually have XX Lager! It is the first time i've seen it anywhere outside of the U.S. west coast in a non-Mexican establishment. Brazilian beers are reasonably priced but holy cow, there were some expensive beers on the menu, imports of course! I can't say much about the food... They have a buffet, and my friends seemed to like it, nothing too special, however. I will probably go back again, specially if I am craving a XX lager with a lime in it. Cheers!
