I had an extremely disappointing experience at this perfume shop. I went in looking for a specific…read moreperfume that I've been using for years but had some doubts about which one it was. The owner confidently assured me--100%--that he knew exactly which one I needed because he was "the expert." Trusting his expertise, I purchased the perfume for €150, which is not cheap by any means. When I got home and opened the box (only removing the cellophane), I immediately realized it was NOT the right perfume. I returned the same day, fully expecting that he would take responsibility for his mistake and allow me to exchange it--especially since I hadn't used it. However, instead of acknowledging his error, he refused to swap it, giving me a long-winded excuse about how he couldn't accept returns because I had removed the outer plastic. His so-called "solution" was to offer me a half-used sample of the perfume I actually wanted, claiming he had no more stock--which was clearly a lie, as he keeps his stock behind the counter. So, in the end, I paid €150 for a half-used bottle of perfume, all because this shop owner made a mistake and refused to take accountability. That is absolutely unacceptable and appalling customer service. I do not recommend this place to anyone. If this is how they treat their customers, I suggest taking your business elsewhere.

I cannot recommend this place enough! I was in Barcelona mid October and was looking for a local…read morecosmetic or perfume store to buy a special Spanish perfume to commemorate my trip. Everywhere I searched in Barcelona had international, commercial perfumes that I can easily get online or my native country (United States). By chance, I came across Isidro's and went there on my last full day. I went as soon as they opened so I was the only customer. Isidro politely let me do my own thing and then checked up on me. Once we spoke and I told him that I was looking for something Spanish to remember this beautiful trip, he began to share his wealth of information with me. He showed me so many Spanish perfumes, explained the different scents and notes in them and gave some back story on the original maker if he knew some of it. Being the only person there, the shopping experience was a cool, intimate experience because he dedicated almost a full hour to talking to me and sharing his knowledge. Additionally, there was no pressure from him whatsoever to purchase. I ended up purchasing an expensive perfume for myself, another for my mom and some men's grooming items for my dad and brother. He wrapped them up beautifully for me too. Also, I was able to speak to him for a long time because I'm a native Spanish speaker, so conversation was easy. I left Isidro's feeling like I accomplished my mission and like I left with a friend in Barcelona. I'll definitely come back the next time!!
