This was the smallest hotel room I have ever experienced and the price per square foot is the…read morehighest I have ever paid. As a Marriott Lifetime Platinum member, I expected far more from Citizen M than they were able to provide. It needs to be said that my partner and I are 69 and 79 years old, and even though we are fit and spent our days walking in Paris, we lacked the gymnastic ability to comfortably enter the bed which is surrounded on three sides by walls and window. There was barely room for us to place our luggage and the mini-closet had only 6 hangers. We were concluding a 19 day trip in Provence so we had a significant amount of baggage. The breakfast buffet was expensive (even with a remission due to elite status), and the quality of the baguettes was below par. The croissants, pains au raisin, and juices and fruits were adequate. On the whole, the hotel was below average in quality and well above average in price. I do not think I would stay here again. That said, there are things to recommend the hotel. The staff was welcoming, and the public areas were spacious and comfortable. The shower, despite its small size and lack of privacy, was very good, easy to use, and comfortable toilet and shower shared one space. I loved and my partner hated the technology that allowed us to control the lighting, curtains, blinds, and TV with a dedicated iPad. The sink and storage for personal toiletries were very small. I can imagine that if I were a younger single person, carrying very little luggage and in Paris for business, I might really enjoy this efficient use of space and convenience. But sadly, we needed more room and felt rather cramped with the room. So this is a sad story of paying far too much for far too little, and I have to say that this was not up to the Marriott Bonvoy standards that I have come to expect and enjoy.

Then, when he finally offered to help, he asked how I was paying for my room without checking to see that I had prepaid. It was not a good impression. As for the decor, I've seen worse. The rooms are fine but the hallway just looks like a mess. I'm not so sure graffiti works well as a motif. My room was comfortable although there was a moderate amount of street noise. I was also bothered by a strong smell of mildew. I could not find the source until I was finished with my shower where there is a band of it running beneath the shower base. ibis also needs to do a better job of communicating to the housekeepers which rooms have guests who have checked out, rather than just opening doors when people are undressed or in the bathroom or worse.

We had an easy check-in process, with helpful staff at the desk. They were nice to print our bus luggage tags in color. Our room is pretty standard for an Ibis hotel - small and spartan, but the bed is comfortable and sometimes that's all you need. The bathroom could use some attention as the shower has some mold in the grout lines. Overall, it's fine for one night and good for our need to be near the bus, but we won't stay here again with other options in the area.

He specifically, sent us an email which we responded to immediately that we would be in by 6:00 but, for some reason cancelled our reservation. We ended up getting 3 nights at Marriott down the street for $300.00 cheaper and I'm sure, better! I truly believe Mikey hates Americans and this would be my only Analyzation of why he would do this to a Family. If you're staying in Paris, keep searching and don't settle for this Crap business! We had a pull-out sofa on the main floor and the hotel was kind enough to bring in a cot bed. The room included a half bath on the main floor and a full bath with shower on the loft floor. A mini-refrigerator was also in the room, although it didn't keep drinks very cold. The room was very warm -- probably because one whole wall of the room is a 2-story window. The views were beautiful, but to keep the room reasonably cool, we kept the curtains closed. Even still, we called for service to the room the first night as it wasn't cooling down. Reception sent someone up right away & he made some adjustments, which helped with the room temp. The following night, I requested a fan which was brought up to the room right away & helped keep things cool for the rest of the stay. Our son used room service a number of times as he wasn't feeling well enough to venture out with us. He was very pleased with the service & food. As mentioned in another recent review, the hotel is undergoing renovations but we had no problems with this during our stay. It's in a great location, with the Village of Bercy just outside the hotel's doors. Convenient Metro station, cute shops & lots of choices for meals. Breakfast was included in our stay but wasn't anything exciting. Our only complaint during our stay was the odor pumped into the elevator lobby; the smell was constant and strong of mens' cologne. We noticed it was coming from some sort of plugged in diffuser? Not sure the reasoning behind having it, but we weren't appreciative of it. In all, the Pullman Bercy was a wonderful place to stay.

I stayed at this aparthotel with my daughter for a week and we liked that it was bigger than most hotel rooms in Paris. The bedroom appartement is modern and functional, a little basic but providing what you need with a kitchen area. Although we didn't cook, it was nice to have a fridge and silverware to enjoy a snacks and cold drinks from time to time in the room. When you stay for 7 days, they provide cleaning once which was good enough for us. The only problem is the badly designed shower where the lack or curtain makes it nearly impossible not to water the entire room.
