This is an excellent Scottish pub, the home of the local football team support, Raith Rovers. The pub is split into two, the usual bar and lounge.
The bar is on the right as you approach the building and is one of the largest in the town with ample seating and sports shown on large screens. All the usual beverages are on offer at prices on a par with others in the area.
Meals can be ordered at the bar and although they are not fine dining, good pub grub and good prices they are. Most meals are served in the lounge next door which is considerably smaller, but just as comfortable and very busy. Service cannot be faulted either.
I would have awarded The Novar 5 stars but I feel the building itself let's it down. A typical late 60s early 70s flat roof construction with no surprises inside. But if you are willing to walk 5 mins from the end of the High Street then The Novar is well worth a visit. read more
