The doctor was fine, but getting a referral to the right ENT was a mess. I had to call three times to give them the correct number, and they still claimed they had no record of any calls. On the second call, someone told me, "It's Urgent Care, they have to take care of the patients first," as if that explained the lack of follow-through. They make you wait in the waiting room to then bring you in another room to wait some more. Keep you filling out papers as soon as you walk in. Been to other walkins where you just gave name and SS #. Someone came after with a computer and put your info in. When you are sick you don't want to sit there filling out paperwork. They do help once your examined. Doctors are pleasant and helpful. read more

I am a 80 year old female and have been here multiple times and was very pleased. However today I went because I fell and hurt my hand and the lady at front desk kept telling me I'm next. So after 2 1/2 hours of waiting all the other patients had been seen and the patient that came after me had been seen, so I went to talk to the front desk and she said "oh you are next in line". I then waited for another 20 min while other patients who had arrived after me were still being called back. They were in a similar/better condition than I was. I then went to the desk again and said I'm leaving and she said "you just don't want to wait". I think that it was because of my age. I was the oldest there and they just didn't care. read more

I don't really like posting negative reviews. But I need to be heard as I left your office today practically in tears and feeling so very small. First of all. Receptionist and lady who brought me to room & took my vitals were lovely. Thank you for being kind. After that, it went south. The nurse practitioner talked down to me and made me feel like I was silly for being there. That my concerns were not valid and I should just KNOW that there's nothing wrong. (For context- I was looking to get my elbow checked and possibly an XRay because I had done something to it a few weeks ago, and it started to swell this past week) I can't even begin to make sense of what she was talking about. I couldn't properly explain my concerns because she wouldn't let me without belittling me, and I had so much anxiety over it that I was not articulating correctly. But I guess the bottom line was that I'm supposed to just know it's "only irritated" and I'm stupid to think there's anything else wrong that would warrant me being there. To add insult to it all. She then all but slams the door as she leaves, and begins talking to someone (I assume doctor) about me in either the hall or a room near the exam room. And LAUGHING at me. Whether they intended me to or not, I heard every word. People just want their voices heard sometimes. We're not medical professionals. YOU are. Personally, it takes a lot for me to get something checked out because of anxiety. I NEVER would have gone and spent all that time there if I didn't think something was wrong. I should never have been made to feel like that concern wasn't valid even if you didn't think so yourself. I ended up leaving before the doctor came in. I would not subject myself to further humiliation. I made sure to stop at the desk to make sure I didn't owe anything, and did not want to cause a scene even though I was ready to burst into tears and scream at the same time. How do you get a diagnosis of a broken body part and then they give no paperwork, no information on the referrals for your file. Then you call back the next day as you haven't received the call and find out they didn't actually request the referral you need and waste another day!! Sloppy sloppy care - unacceptable read more

Went in to get both of my daughter's sports physicals tonight, and they refused to do so because they had covid in December. Today is March the 2nd. It really makes no sense. A week ago I was doing yard work and when I went to move our bird bath I lifted wrong and pulled a muscle in my lower back. I had done something similar before and my primary doctor had prescribed a non-narcotic anti spasm pill that works quite well. I had some of those still and took them and finished the yardwork (I left the bird bath for my son to move). The medicine didn't seem to help so I went to Doctors Care (793 E Butler Rd, Mauldin, SC) and was seen. The front desk staff was wonderful, Dr. was great as well, HE understood that I was traveling out of town Tuesday (after Labor Day) and could not see my primary doctor due to conflict of my schedule and their hours. HE gave me a shot of prednisone or similar steroid which helped. I made it through the week with a few flare ups but hot showers and meds took care of it. My trip back home on Friday stretched into getting home Saturday morning due to weather delays. Sitting in airport and planes for an extended period of time caused my spasms to start up again, my meds and ibuprofen helped but only to a certain degree, adding heat was impossible. I rested Saturday and got up today about the same and since I will be traveling again tomorrow I thought to go back to Doctors Care since my primary doctor is not open until after I fly out tomorrow morning. Roberta at the front desk was so kind and friendly, the nurse that took my vitals was also. The doctor asked how I was and what I needed and when I told her SHE said SHE saw it on my chart (then why ask?). I told her that several years back I tweaked my knee, that took a second round of prednisone and I suggested that maybe round two was in order for the muscle in my back. SHE said she was not going to do anything until I saw my doctor. I said I cant and why, SHE refused to grasp the idea that my job has me travelling for the next few weeks (Mon - Fri) and I came to them since I could not follow up with my primary care dr. I said then we are done and headed for the door, if you aren't going to help then I will continue with what I had been doing. I am not going to a doctor as an excuse to get meds, narcotic or not, but that is how this female doctor was coming across. I am not trying to get out of work, I don't think my injury rates that but a little extra something to aid healing or pain management is sometimes warranted. The only thing good SHE did was instructed Roberta to issue a refund. Next thing she needs to do is go open a facility called Doctors Don't Care, I feel she will be more at home there.(side note capitalizing the HE & SHE to differentiate between the two doctors I saw last week and today) read more

I am giving this place 1 star only because the patient receptionist was nice. She deserves all the stars. I thought long and hard about posting a review. Due to the uneasy feeling in my spirit, I decided to do so just in case this has happened to more than just me. I hate to make this about race but it is. I have insurance, phenomenal insurance and didn't go to my primary care doctor due to an appointment needed and I had to be seen asap. The doctor walked into the room with his arms folded and said "what's the problem" I replied blah blah and he goes "ookk" as though the pain I was having was not legit even acknowledging the fluid behind my ears plus raw throat. This man prescribed nothing basically because the eye drops required no prescription. Before rushing out of the room I asked should I take tylenol for the chills and he said yep. I paid 72 for medicine he could've wrote a prescription. I guess he didn't believe how sick I really am. So tomorrow I get to make another trip to the doctor because my throat and symptoms are worse. I will go to my doctor who learn bedside manners and to listen to his patient. I didn't even a paper with my dx of respiratory infection. The idea that pain doesn't exist for those of a different background is disgusting. read more

After testing negative for Covid and flu and having severe cough and muscle aches I too prescribed medications with no relief. I called back after 5 hours of visit to explain my situation. A nurse said she would get back to me to try to help out. I waited and waited and waited while laying in bed in pain and finally decided to call them back at 10 mins till close. The doctor said I should go to the ER. It is clear that this doctor business is a money making scam and no one wants to help you. I do not recommend this facility. They do not care enough to call back after they know how sick I am. That screams that you could care less about your patients. I won't call out names but you know you are and you can do better. I'd give a zero rating if there were one. Don't make a patient wait around an entire day in agony then tell them to go to the ER when you don't feel like dealing with it. That should have been told to me at my first call, not at 6:50 pm. I'm so tired of doctors and doctor care. 9 times out of 10 they could care less. It's either you test positive for something and there are proven steps and medications or you test negative and they have no answers. read more

Severly understaffed. Waited over four+ hours for a 1 min COVID rapid test. Definitley NO effort made to speed the process for sick and ill people. It says Urgent Care?!? Don't bother if it is indeed urgent. Prepare to spend the day in your car. All 7 people that were registered at 8:45am are STILL waiting at 12:15. Make that make sense to me..... read more

The staff is really friendly, but unfortunately the doctor I had was not the best. I went in twice for a UTI within the same week, the first time was during the early stages and the antibiotic they prescribed wasn't strong enough/ didn't work for me. My UTI got worse so I had to go in again. I was on antibiotics at the time but they didn't write that in my notes. When the urine sample came back negative they told me it wasn't a UTI and completely ruled it out (even though urine samples have been known to be unreliable AND I'm on antibiotics). They then tested me for diabetes, also negative. The doctor ended with "I really don't know what is wrong with you. Just stop taking the antibiotics you're on and see what happens." I asked what to do about my awful symptoms and she said "maybe just don't think about it as much." ... she completely dismissed me and would not believe my symptoms were real, even though it was seriously affecting my daily life. THANKFULLY, I had expired antibiotics to treat a UTI on hand, and I'm feeling a lot better despite them being out of date. Had I listened to her, I would've been more antibiotic resistant with an even worse UTI. read more
