Mine! :-) I received my doctorate in 2018.
Reen K.

Someone asked me what university did I graduate, and receive my doctorate from? I said "Nova Southeastern University." I received my Master's, Specialist, and Doctorate degree from NSU. All in education. I wouldn't trade this university for nothing in the world. The professors, and advisors are awesome here. I highly recommend this university. :-)

Very nice place, very nice auditorium, I've never been prouder since my daughter graduated on this day, there wasn't too much social distancing going on. If you do have to attend a graduation over here there is a parking garage in a cart that will take you to the Rick Case auditorium. If your mobility is limited I suggest you wait for it

On this visit, I was attending the annual PASS SQL Saturday event. It was held in the Carl DeSantis Building at 3301 College Ave. The building was the perfect setting with the registration held in the entry area. The first floor auditorium was the setting for the opening keynote speech. From there the technology conference broke into multiple sessions in classrooms throughout the building. The rooms I was able to see were designed to comfortably seat about 40+ but we were a larger group so standing and floor seating was required. The center atrium was ideal for the vendor fair, breakfast and lunch with plenty of seating, bright light and an very open feeling. I cannot attest to the quality of education offered by Nova Southeastern University but this feels like an excellent learning environment.

Most of, if not all, my professors were from FAU, NOVA & University of Miami. In fact, my MGF1106 class was the exact same that the professor taught to his class at FIU. I paid $117 per credit hour though. What a steal. All my credits transferred to FAU and I currently have a 3.8 GPA at Florida Atlantic University. Getting my AA at Broward really prepared me for the 3000/4000 level classes at university. Pro tips: meet with your advisor often and do not be above using "word count memes" for real! 3000 word minimum? Change that "also" to "in addition to." Change "This suggests" to "Therefore elucidating the impression that." Sprinkle that in like Salt Bea! Huge thanks to the math lab for helping me get a B+ in STA2023. Gracias Marta for tutoring me in Spanish! Getting an A+ in a 4 credit hour class meant so much to me! "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." Senior year at FAU this fall, here I come!

Because the amount of back & forth I experienced before hand is ridiculous. Acting like my transcript has germs on it and making me send it over & over again because "I have a class in progress" which simply means I just needed to pay for it and acting like their so incompetent to understanding made me even more mad. A whole year has passed and I got accepted at 3 other Florida colleges. They evaluated my transcripts, did my aid package, and set me up for orientation to understand the platforms to do my work. Y'all need to do better because this college is backwards!! Please report them to the BBB (Better business bureau) and flor department of education.

Every professor I have take a class have or currently doing constant research in their field of study. You do need to schedule tutoring sess's around the tutor's schedule but at some point you do need ask yourself how committed you are to you future. Their buildings are fairly new and most labs offer the tools required to complete the coursework. Dr. Gawlik (the boss man) in the biological sciences is an expert in eco systems in the everglades area. Any class you can take with Dr. Owen.... TAKE IT! Shes a rockstar and really understands the effects of non-indigenous species to an environment. If your studying biology her research does serve a purpose as it can still be applicable to study other forms of biological science. Wifi can come in out if your in a westward classroom in the Liberal Arts building so sit inward toward the hall. There are outside tables but try to find the solar charging stations. Usually when Im writing a paper somehow my computer looses all power. Being at a charging station helps from a complete shut down mid thought. For the most part this may be a smaller campus and the traffic from Nova and Broward can make getting to class much more difficult than if it were in another location but I personally enjoyed my year spent here!

There is plenty of parking and campus security is not to big on having a parking pass for this location. The science labs located on the fourth floor are state of the art and are shared between FIU and Broward College. There's also free Wifi for students. The building is extremely clean (as it's new) and currently they are still adding amenities for students to enjoy learning here. I would recommend coming here for classes (primarily business and general education courses) and to lose the craziness that is involved with going to the bigger campuses!

It is in the Academic 1 building. I also come occasionally to use the pool or go into the bay for an open water swim. Thats what you do when you are training for a triathlon. Overall its a nice campus but considering Im also a UF Alumni, its hard to compare North campus to a really large University. South campus from what I remember was larger and did have that large campus feeling to it, but still much smaller than UF. Im sure its grown in the past 20 years though. If you want to get edumacated, FIU may be a good option for you.

You can actually find parking here, it isn't always conjested with students switching classes and it is alot smaller making it easier to navigate. Plus it has great outdoors areas to have lunch, or study. Plus all of the professors in the JOU program are awesome! Most remind me of rebelious hippies, but they are so knowledgeable in the field with many years experience. So glad I HAD to go to this campus.
