Oh, let me mention, I've just been notified that my local medical office in Lovettsville USA is being closed down by the Leesburg Sterling Family Practice mothership for financial reasons (missing its numbers perhaps). Bottom line is that business like this are focused on maximizing revenue and contribution goals to the "practice" than the patient and the local community healthcare needs. The doctors are now employees under these business structures (with their 9-5 workdays and kickass 401ks) and answer to what the funding source (their management) demands and controls. Hey doc-in-the-box sign these Non-disclosures to ensure you don't stray from the corporate playbook and the big Pharma sales pitches. And if you're Medicare, consider yourselves safe, forget LSFP as an option and my message all together, since seniors need not apply and belong in a third world clinic anyhoot. Folks in Lovettsville are witnessing these keen eye on revenue goals with the closure of this office because, as the email states, it's due to "financial challenges" due to the increasing costs to operate as an "independent medical office" (really, independent?, that lends to an oxymoron you employee-doctor). Following guidance from O'Hanrahan the accountant and LSFP concluded that consolidation is the answer and maximize patient counts and wait times coupled with a good drive allows for inner reflection and self healing. Or is really about pulling the numbers and matching the billing code that maximizes revenues for practice contributions (can't call it profit -- right you kinda like non-profit business entity)? By the way, certain billing codes need not apply. Come on, rather than bringing medical services to the community, the community must now travel to the medical service wherever it may be and a little reflection on a long drive is like a spoonful of big Pharma medicine. Dare I mention now, only if you have a qualifying plan, so call before you go, since there are only six insurance plans accepted. Other plans need not apply. But wait!.. with the right plan and age and pharma gullibility, you still have a choice of five LSFP facilities to inconveniently travel to; and get there early for the free toaster! Maybe not a toaster, unwrapped sausages in a can perhaps? Doctors seem to be focused on trends and administrative checkboxes and counts to satisfy the folks that sign their paychecks and approve their leave rather than individual patient care or well-being. By the way Lovettsville town people, if there's another game in town (or not), my email states that Leesburg Sterling Family Practice will wrap up my medical records in a bow and ribbon to take somewhere else. Didn't state at no additional cost though and no bow or ribbon. Uh-oh, my bad, I just realized, there ain't no Love Et al in the Leesburg Sterling Family Practice sales pitch! Duh, that's the real bottom line. Fare thee well, Dr. M. from the Lovettsville not so independent practice. Patients need not abide.

My wife selected this family practice for us, and although I have traditionally preferred having a male physician, Dr. Truong quickly made me feel comfortable with that decision. She was extremely personable, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. Just as importantly, she had an excellent bedside manner. I appreciated the way she communicated with me. She took the time to listen, was thoughtful in her responses, and demonstrated a level of knowledge and professionalism that immediately gave me confidence in her. There was nothing rushed or impersonal about the interaction, which is particularly important to me when establishing care with a new physician. First impressions matter, especially when choosing someone you are trusting with your health and potentially developing a long-term doctor-patient relationship. My first impression of Dr. Truong and Loudoun Medical Group was extremely positive. This was only my first visit, so I will certainly provide updates as I gain more experience with the practice, but based on my September 3 appointment, I feel very comfortable continuing my care here and would recommend Dr. Truong and the practice to others looking for a family physician in the Leesburg area. A very positive first experience! Yelp Elite Reviewer

For a business centered around assisting sick individuals and delivering critical test results,…read morethis office should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. I received a call where my test results were read to me incorrectly -- results that were inconsistent with what was listed in their own online portal. I was given two different sets of wrong information, and when I understandably became upset, the woman on the phone disconnected the call. At no point did I use profanity. Yes, I raised my voice -- but only out of understandable frustration. Of all places, a doctor's office should be able to show empathy toward patients during such vulnerable moments. Shame on you. I sincerely hope these calls are recorded, because if they are, leadership should listen carefully to the cold, blanket, and heartless way your staff speaks to patients. On top of that, it was completely inappropriate that the doctor who ordered the tests tried to downplay potential positive results, brushing them off as "not a big deal." That was not her place. As a patient, it is my right to have my results taken seriously and to receive appropriate, compassionate guidance -- not to be minimized or dismissed. You have no idea what someone is going through outside your office walls, and to be treated with such dismissiveness and cruelty by people we pay to trust with our health is appalling. You read me my test results without offering any follow-up guidance, reassurance, or even basic human kindness. You were mean, cold, and unprofessional.

The doctor spent about 10 minutes with me, and then sent me on my way. No apologies for the delay! The staff was competent, but didn't seem overly friendly or concerned. They look at you like you're interrupting them from their chatter. The office & exam rooms are run down, with scuff marks, smudges and dents in the walls. Okay in a pinch, but I'm going to look for a new primary care doctor. If you go to this practice, prepare to be very proactive regarding your care. I called after hours one time, but the on-call doctor never called me! I complained, they said the office manager would "look into it" - but they NEVER called back!

When I called to inquire about walk-in availability, the male receptionist who answered sounded as if he was half-asleep and was very difficult to understand. I genuinely could not make out what he was saying, so I politely asked him to repeat himself. Instead of clarifying, he responded in a blunt and dismissive tone. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. To top it off, right as I was wrapping up the call and saying "okay thank you," he hung up on me before I even finished my sentence. That lack of basic courtesy left a really negative impression. Again, I have no complaints about the doctors or the actual care, but the attitude of the person answering the phones makes a huge difference in how patients perceive the office. First impressions matter, and this one was disappointing.

The…read moredecline has been gradual, but steady, and has reached a point where I can't recommend avoiding this practice enough. Appointments now consist of basic questions and exams that barely touch the service of issues. My last physical didn't even include a hernia exam, and I'm a 39 year old male with a history of hernias. The nurse practitioners they have on staff are under-qualified at best. The front desk staff are rude, and the intake nurses are also unprofessional. This practice has lost any idea of what customer service means and seems to now be an appointment mill that bills your insurance for telling you to buy some Motrin and get some bed rest. Today was the last straw for us. My wife recently gave birth naturally and our OBGYN recommended we see our PCP for a referral for physical therapy for a month from now to help get her back on her feet and speed her recovery. We called and scheduled an appointment for this specific purpose with the front desk who confirmed that they could give a referral for PT. After waiting for an hour, my wife was seen by a family nurse practitioner that took her temperature and blood pressure, checked her height and weight, eyes and ears, and listened to her breathing. Then, without any examination of her pelvic floor muscles, said that PT 'wasn't indicated' at this time and we should come back for another appointment after our 6 week checkup with our OBGYN for ANOTHER appointment. She explained that we had been sent by the OBGYN to get a referral but the FNP refused to issue the referral and sent her packing. I went in to address this with the front desk and they gave me the run-around, then brought out a 'provider' who first said she had seen my wife but after having me explain the whole situation told me she was just the intake nurse, then asked me to re-explain the situation, then laughed when I said I didn't want to explain myself again and wanted to talk to the actual nurse that had seen my wife. All in all it was a nice hour and fifteen minutes absolutely wasted by the front desk and clinical staff because of their inability to listen and/or be upfront about what services they are willing and able to provide. To LSFP - if you can not or will not offer a service then perhaps your front desk staff shouldn't confirm the appointment for it. Your practice used to be great, and now it is a terrible place to go for care and competent customer service. I've had better customer service at McDonald's. Your front desk staff especially leaves a lot to be desired in the professionalism department. 25 years as a patient and I have never been treated the way I was treated today. We won't be back. Get it together.

For years, we had a good experience. As years went by, her office got busier and busier. Although we weren't able to be seen as quickly, we still had a great experience and care. It all started when she got so busy and hired a PA. We got cared by Matt and we were okay with not seeing Dr. B because we understood how busy she was and that Matt was an amazing PA (spoke Spanish so my whole family was more than satisfied). The problem started when Matt left the practice. We were pushed to see the new PA. She is really good and we have no complaints about her, but building trust with a new provider is not easy or favorable. In order to see Dr. B we would have to pay membership because she no longer was available to those who didn't participate. This apparently started prior to Matt leaving. The membership was ~$2000/yr. We didn't have that, much less for each of our family members. With these changes, we started looking for a new doctor/office. We needed stability and consistency. We found a new practice and after my grandma's first visit, we requested her records to be sent to the new office. In the midst of this, we were also requesting Dr. B's help with a form for immigration. It has to be filled out by the doctor who diagnosed her, Dr. B. Her office refused to assist. This form must be signed by a doctor who has had years of providing care. Knowing the severity of this situation, they flat out said no. Although Dr. B is an amazing provider, her new system, administrative team and approach to our family has left a bitter taste.

I missed an appointment because my grandfather is in the hospital with a broken neck and my husband has cancer. Between managing the two, life happened and I dropped the ball. The office charged me the $50 missed appointment fee with no communication. When the office called to reschedule, the front desk person and I went back and forth, and I was given nothing but attitude and told, "You can't talk to anyone, you have to send an email." I said that was ridiculous in the year 2026. I was met with more attitude, and I replied, "You don't have to give me f***ing attitude for my opinion." Yes, that was wrong of me, and I lost my professionalism. Life has you wound tight when your husband is dying. The response I received the next day from the office manager was, "You signed paperwork agreeing to our policies." I absolutely did. However, I would hope a medical office that diagnosed my husband's condition would have some compassion. A continuation of this lack of compassion, sympathy, and empathy from this office happened when their old PA left. My husband and I had appointments scheduled with her months in advance. When I called to make the appointments, I specifically asked for that PA by name. On the day of the appointment, their new PA walked in. When we questioned it, we were simply handed a piece of paper displayed on the top shelf in the room explaining that the old PA had moved and left the office. So, if you love surprises and only being able to communicate through email when you have a grievance, along with a front desk staff that shows no compassion while you're going through the hardest medical experience of your life, this is the office for you.
