It's pretty big for a starbucks and the seating goes off to the left out of view from the street where there is 4 comfy sofa's tucked away for those wanting a bit more privacy. The staff were friendly, the cafe was clean and the toilets were fresh. Maybe I caught it on a quiet day, but it all seemed tip top to me. As for the coffee, well they've pretty much standardised across the UK, so not alot to say. Top marks for proactive staff though.

However, Costa Coffee is on-hand to help you de-stress and unwind after, during, or before a hectic shoppoing trip to Tescos. It's better than Starbucks but I'll say it's nothing special (though I'm a Pret A Manger girl myself). The coffees are nice and the cake is good and if you're lucky enough to get a seat then they are really comfortable. It's a good place to people watch too. I once saw a woman with purple hair walk by with a Poodle with green hair and I almost spat out my Cappuccino. They have got an outdoor area too and sell the usual sandwiches and wraps so it's a good shout if you fancy a spot of lunch after a hard day's shop.

They also serve coffee and make specialty drinks, juices and smoothies. I stopped in to get a smoothie to have while walking around town. They had a few different flavor combinations but I decided to go with the berry smoothie. The kind gentleman at the counter took my order and I looked around while I waited. They had many foods sitting out on the side, it looked like you could choose a main and some sides yourself for a specified price. The food all looked very good. The smoothie was fine, unfortunately it wasn't cold which was the thing I wanted most. This may just be a thing in Europe but for me, I like a cold smoothie. They have several tables outside to sit and enjoy your food. There is also seating on the second floor of the eatery. The wait was a little long, about 10 minutes for two smoothies. There was no other food or drinks that came out of the kitchen so I am not quite sure why it took that long. Wasn't a terrible wait, but there was nowhere to sit while waiting.

As a diehard fan of Reggae and Ska, I love to come here to listen to some golden oldies or so hear something new. The friendly, happy staff work incredibly hard to serve you quickly and keep you happy. The Park has a real party atmosphere, where you'll never know who you'll meet, but you're guaranteed to be talking to a stranger by the end of the night. Sometimes a victim of its own success, The Park can get a little crowded at the weekend but Fridays and Saturdays are definitely the best night to go.

The music here has always been spot on, with good hip hop, funk & soul (not the rubbish from the charts). So I would recommend it to anyone who, like me, thinks this is the best music to have a dance to. They have a really great bar but it's not cheap. If you want bargain booze head next door to Mbargo. This is a slightly more upmarket experience. We used to head here after work, because the drinks are so tasty and you can always find a great place to sit and chat with your mates. It attracts a slightly older crowd, in some cases people still living the dream who really should know better. One guy, although lovely and friendly (who wouldn't be at slightly less than sober 3 in the morning) did remind me of my dad. Some might say this is a classier crowd with a bit more cash to splash or simply with better, more expensive tastes. But it's mostly cool people who like to go out to bars, drink a lot of good booze in a tasteful place. This is a great bar to meet new people, due to the great atmosphere The Park has created it doesn't feel strange to strike up a conversation with a stranger here, and you can't say that about everywhere (especially in the UK). The entry prices on the door are pretty hilarious. They seem to be on a sliding scale depending on the time of night, how full the bar is and whether or not the bouncer likes the look of you. But it never costs too much, usually around a couple/few quid.
