TLDR: Terrible service, aggressive angry communication, didn't wait for me to respond and sent only…read morepart of my order without my approval. Avoid this business unless you want a headache and some mean insults from the owner!
Online order via Discogs in September of 2022. I bought 3 LPs, supposedly they couldn't find one. They still shipped the other two less than 48 hours later without waiting for me to approve the change, add another item, or cancel the order, despite that one item being unavailable. I was out of town on a holiday weekend, and wasn't able to respond until after it had already shipped.
When asked why they did this, they said they "needed" to send the order that day... I have no idea why it was so urgent to ship that day, since the postage was paid for at 9:28am Central European Summer Time on a Sunday. Really, they should have waited until I responded to them to at least confirm what I wanted to do since one record was unavailable. Also, this was to the USA, so shipping was over 20 euros / $22 USD for just 2 records instead of 23 euros / $25 USD for the initial order of 3 LPs, so the cost on a per item basis nearly doubled based on what they did without my approval.
A few days later, they re-listed the same "missing" LP for sale at 130% of the original price. Pretty shady move, but it gets worse...
When I wrote to ask why they had done all this without my approval, the guy blamed me for not responding during a period of less than 48 hours, and wouldn't accept fault for being so hasty to ship, despite no approval from me to do so. Called it my fault and had so much ATTITUDE! Really difficult, mean, combative communication and simply wouldn't admit his mistake or offer to fix it or make good on the original order cost.
I tried to be reasonable, but this guy was so full of himself that it made me really frustrated. His smug messages were so rude, completely lacking in empathy, and it felt like he is only fueled by money rather than love of music or trying to satisfy his customers. He refused to accept blame for his error, kept saying it was my fault.
Overall, a really disappointing experience. I can't believe a guy could be that mean and petty, and I highly recommend avoiding this store and spending your money elsewhere, especially for online orders, but even in person too. I wouldn't want to be in a store run by a guy who displays that kind of negativity.
I am adding a screenshot to show proof of order. It also shows the shipping time at 12:28am on September 11th, 2022 local PST (California time), according to Discogs. That means it was 9:28pm on Sunday September 11th in Austria when it was shipped. I still don't understand his urgency to send it when he hadn't heard back from me at all for less than 2 full days. Just wait until Monday, when most people are back at work in front of their computers.
Completely clueless when it comes to trying to keep the customer happy. I recommend that you AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
