You or me ? I said your wrapping all areas that cant be sided, in aluminum. Bzak employee nope not in contract. Me: yep its in the contract as i showed it to the bzak jack. So bzak came up with a new excuse: we fired the guy that gave you the estimate (another lie). In the end i gave them an extra $700 to put Azek trim to go around garage door and entry door, instead of aluminum. What we got was a hacked up mess: ends of the molding not cut on a 45° angle to keep rain out. They cut it too short and cut a square piece to make up for it. Area's missing siding: front garage overhang, top of garage (non gutter side) 2" x whole length of garage. Also the gutters had 2 middle bolts not driven in. Contacted several times about issues, in the end they don't care, on to the next victim.

Cost was fair and work completed as described. ** Door ** While we were scheduling the gutters we saw that they also did doors. We decided that working with a single contractor was preferred to two as we are often traveling. They came out and while measuring the gutters also measured the door. We ordered the custom door and waited...and waited...then the below: First Visit - Door comes and it is the wrong size Second Visit - Door comes and it will not fit due to sizing again. They decide they need a new frame (same frame they measured on estimate) and put the old door on. Incorrectly as the striker was on backwards and handle loose. Third Visit - Attempt to build a frame onsite, but have to leave to get parts throughout the day. Mess-up the wall during install. Fourth Visit - Door finally installed Fifth Visit - Came to paint and fix wall, but didn't bring the needed parts Sixth Visit - Finished the paint around the wall. Now peppered throughout this process starting on Third Visit I told them thanks, but no thanks and to take the door back. I had a broken door and had wasted over 3 months. Over and over again in written communications they ignored my request to put me out of my misery with this process. I figured they were going to do the right thing, but alas at the end of this process they charged me the full amount for this ordeal. Not counting the number of days (thank goodness my wife works from home) and hours wasted, the work was piss poor. In the end we have a nice looking door. Had I known they would be like this I would skip. Now you know and can decide to not do what we did.

I entered some information on an ipad and was told to expect an email with additional forms to fill out. 3 weeks later, Lynn from Herbert's called asking if I had filled out the forms. I told her I didn't get an email. She said when I do, fill them out and they will schedule a date. Week later Lynn called again asking if I got an email. I did not. She then gave me the phone number of the finance company they work with and she also gave me their business ID no? Not sure what that was. The finance company said they could NOT talk to me directly, only with Herbert's. He put us on a 3-way call, (I think I was not supposed to hear that conversation). "I have XXXX on the line and she is hot (angry). Said she offered cash but . . . ." Total disrespect from the finance company dude. I should have looked for a new roofer right there. But it was the guy from the finance company who was rude. Turns out Herbert's never sent them my information, so I was never going to be sent an email. Anyhow, Lynn then gave me another number to call. At that point, I called the office the next morning and said I wanted a strictly cash transaction. If they didn't want to do it that way, I would find another roofer. Oh . . . they wanted to do it but my down payment wasn't big enough for a cash transaction (stated matter of factly). . . . . . I then had to ask her for the additional amount to be paid. I was put on hold and then WAIT FOR IT. . . Lynn came on the phone apologizing. She was sorry things were not working out, but once they received my check for the additional down payment, they would order materials and schedule a date. Two weeks later, I had to call them back. I was placed on hold . . . WAIT FOR IT. . . .Lynn came on the phone apologizing again. They had my check but the scheduler was on vacation and no one else was aware I had to be scheduled. I should expect a phone call the next day (Friday) to schedule a date. How do you think that turned out? That's right . . . no phone call. I believe they called the following Tuesday. Roof job scheduled for Dec 12. The guys were great, there on time, it only took 5-6 hours. No complaints with the actual job. I really didn't have any complaints about the cost either. Job site manager said the dumpster would be removed and I would get an invoice for the remaining payment. 5 days later, the dumpster was still in my driveway, I called the dumpster company to have it removed. Shortly thereafter, received a phonecall from Herbert's WAIT FOR IT . . . apologizing that the dumpster hadn't been picked up. Then received a phone call from Lynn (in an irritated tone) asking for the final payment. Honestly if I had to do it again, I'd go with another roofer. This was the worst experience I've had in a while. Definitely steer clear of Lynn.

Needless to say, I did not go with them and got two honest estimates and went with one that was trusted.

A few months ago Davison, Mi was hit with a severe hail storm the likes of which I have never seen…read morein my life. Hardly a house was not impacted. I lost a roof and many pieces of siding. As the afternoon went by many roofing contractors stopped by and offered their services, including Jeremy from Guns N Hoses. I must have been approached by 20 contractors that day but when it was all said and done I decided on Jeremy. I'm glad I did. Given the amount of work the entire area needed I knew it would take some time. It did. Jeremy kept on top of everything and kept me posted. If he told me something I could take it to the bank. The work was completed in a timely fashion, the quality of work was excellent and he handled all the paperwork with the insurance company. I could not have had a better experience.

They returned on two different occasions and still did not fix the issue. I paid over 2k to fix the issue that was not fixed, then received a quote for a complete roof replacement for 21k. No thanks! I will never use or contact them again for any type of roof repair or replacement. Very disappointed.
