Our son has taken the car he bought through the sales dept. to the service dept for the required/recommended maintenance and told me how friendly they were. He even talked me up to Brent and ME up to Brent. So there was anticipation on both our parts. I was not disappointed and I trust Brent wasn't either. Brent immediately puts you at ease when you're first standing at the counter. I've never experienced such friendliness and confidence at any other auto dealer service desk, and rarely at any auto repair place. David, who sits next to him, is just as friendly. The oil change and vehicle inspection charge was fair and the turnaround time was quick--1 hour. Brent also had entered on my receipt the recommended service for next time and the estimated cost+tax. Oh, they also rotate tires for free on a specified schedule. This saves me from making a separate appointment at Costco where we bought the tires. Another added bonus. In this day of COVID, my son warned me masks aren't worn at the dealership. Well, I wear mine and I'm fully vaxxed and boosted and simply THRIVING with antibodies. So, I'm good. When I got home, I told my son and my wife that Brent and David were so friendly and conversational that it was like I was taking my car to a couple of friends who run an auto repair shop. THESE are the guys we're bringing our vehicle to for servicing from now on. At some future point they'll be servicing the vehicle we bought from the sales dept.

I was seriously afraid to take the car in, because at the dealership in Honolulu, (where we bought it and it was seen last a year ago before we shipped it to WA) you basically had to hand over your wallet and bend over every time you took the car in, even for a routine inspection. The dealership here in Gorst is different. My car was fixed, and no lights on the dashboard anymore, and the grand total? $40. I was ecstatic, because this dealership is not just fast (they got me in for my car to look at with one day's notice and they fixed the car in like 45 min.), but they were also very very fair on price to get my car back on the road. Thank you Peninsula Suzuki, and I will be back, as they offer a $29 oil change, even for non-suzuki's. If you buy a Suzuki in this area, you will have a good experience should your car need service.

The experience wasn't terrible, but there were several moments that reminded me of the old-school dealership tactics many of us hoped were a thing of the past. My biggest advice is to come prepared. Research pricing, know the value of your trade-in, and don't rely solely on what a salesperson tells you. After numerous rounds of negotiations, we finally reached what I believed was an agreement. When I carefully reviewed the purchase paperwork, I discovered that the agreed-upon sales price had not actually been reflected in the contract. During the final negotiation they switched to discussing monthly payments, but the underlying sales price calculations had not been updated. The new worksheet looked like a better deal, but in reality the sales price remained the same. When I pointed this out, I was told it was a "computer error." Whether it truly was or not, it was significant enough that I seriously considered walking away. Instead, I ended up renegotiating with the finance manager and received a lower price than what was on the paperwork, but it still wasn't what I believed we had originally agreed to. The entire experience reinforced just how important it is to read every line before signing anything. I've purchased and sold several vehicles over the past decade, and I haven't encountered this level of confusion or negotiation tactics since the late 1990s, when another dealership manipulated both the selling price and my trade-in value and ultimately had to unwind the entire transaction. The trade-in process followed a similar pattern. The initial offer was well below what I believed was fair. Only after standing firm through multiple rounds of negotiation did the dealership increase the offer to $22,500 for my Outback, which had approximately 35,000 miles and no damage. That same vehicle is now listed on their website for about $29,000. Buyers can decide for themselves what that says about the negotiation process. If you choose to purchase from this dealership, be prepared. Know your numbers, verify every figure on every document, question anything that doesn't make sense, and be willing to walk away if necessary. Expect multiple rounds of back-and-forth negotiation and classic good cop/bad cop sales tactics. Unfortunately, the experience didn't improve after the sale. During delivery, my salesperson assured me that the dealership's technical advisor would help me learn the features of my new electric vehicle and assist with any questions. However, despite several attempts, she has been unable to resolve many of the issues I've encountered with the vehicle. That ongoing lack of support has only added to my frustration and has made the overall ownership experience less enjoyable than it should have been. I like the vehicle itself and hope Subaru addresses some of the software issues over time. I simply wish the buying experience had matched the quality and reputation that Subaru has built.

It was a very scary experience and I'm lucky we were able to get off the road safely. My first call was to Haselwood Buick, as I live right next to them and it would have been safest to get my vehicle there and not risk driving in the rain again. They told me they had no appointments for over a month and a half. December 29th, in fact. I even mentioned that I saw safety recall notices online in regards to this and could they please look that up. Nope. Rude and uninterested in helping at all. What????? I called Grey Chevrolet to see if they could look at my car instead, though the drive there would be dangerous because it's much further away. They told me to bring my car right in if I could, as this is a safety hazard. I threw in some Rain X and made it there. There was a bad storm and their power was out so they couldn't do much to help in the moment. James was incredibly kind and refused to let us drive our car back home until they could work on it. He got us a ride home from an employee there and promised to look at our vehicle as soon as their power was back on. He called a couple of hours later. Car fixed!! There was a safety notice out for this exact problem and it was fixed right away and for free, and didn't even involve my extended warranty. I am so grateful that James was willing to look this safety recall up, fix my vehicle and offer such wonderful customer service and genuine concern. I went back and forth on what services to get, and he was always patient, never pushy, and took the time to explain the pros and cons so I could make the right decision for us. Anthony walked me through the different options, explained how the white interior would affect the appearance from the outside, and shared what he had on his own vehicle. In the end, I trusted his recommendation and simply told him to tint it like his car. I'm really glad I did because it turned out exactly the way I was hoping. When we picked up the car, we knew we had made the right choice. The Quicksilver paint looks incredible. The depth and gloss from the ceramic coating really stand out, the PPF installation is practically invisible, and the tint came out perfect. The craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the entire car were outstanding. What impressed me the most was the customer service. We got there, the attendant was sleeping on someone's car IN the driveway. I refused to let them keep my keys (had a bad experience with that another time), but they did park the car. It took them 10 minutes to park it a 30 second walk away ??. I kept the key during my trip. It took them more than 30 minutes to pick us up, while other parking services' vans passed by 2 or 3 times. They wanted to get the car for me, I refused and got the car out myself, though it was an extremely tight space - I'm a small woman and almost had to climb in through the window. Their spot on Global Airport Parking says 5 stars. Absolute lie. It's the cheapest one for a reason. Not worth the savings. We won't use them again.
