I'm extremely disappointed and concerned about patient discharge practices at this hospital. A patient (my cousin) was discharged without proper care there was no safe transportation, no phone, no personal belongings. There was no proper follow up and she is now missing

second 50 mil lawsuit filed against northside! they rather fight me than pay for their evil doings sad smh

Waited with a gash in my eye with barely anyone in here. Was seated for over a hour and a half with no one taking me back.

From start to finish, everyone was extremely helpful and nice to us as I escorted my Uncle to every area of the hospital. The Care Quality and customer service was excellent and we did not have any issues today. I would definitely recommend this location for your medical needs. It was definitely the professionalism and service for me.

They treated me professionally and compassionately. My concern is with an organization that appears to prioritize revenue over patients. I came to the emergency room because I believed I was experiencing a medical emergency--not because I had a choice. I left not only grateful for the medical care, but shocked by the charges that followed. As an insured, working American who pays taxes and health insurance premiums, I found it difficult to understand how basic items and routine services could be billed at prices that seem disconnected from reality. Patients don't comparison-shop during emergencies, and they shouldn't be financially punished for seeking care. The standard response is always, "That's just how healthcare works." But those prices are set by people. Leadership chooses the policies that determine what patients are charged. The medical staff earned my appreciation. The billing practices earned this review. I hope the leadership of this organization takes a hard look at whether its financial priorities truly reflect its mission to care for the community.

I never left the waiting room. Later, an employee told me staff sometimes claim they called patients to move through the list faster. Meanwhile I watched the waiting room empty and refill several times, and people who arrived before me were still waiting when I left. The waiting area was freezing. Everyone was complaining. People sat there 8+ hours, cold, with no food, and it felt more like a holding cell than a hospital. The process was disorganized and chaotic, and then staff seemed surprised when people became frustrated after hours of this. Security was aggressive and talked to me as if I were a regular troublemaker who came in every day to be rude to staff. It was my first time ever at Grady. Of the staff I dealt with, about 75% treated patients poorly, either rude or incompetent. The other 25% were fair but did nothing about it. The doctor was condescending and passive-aggressive, talking as if I couldn't follow what she was saying. I chose not to engage. The one bright spot was the x-ray room. The two women there were kind, and when I asked whether a 6-hour wait was normal, they apologized. They deserve credit. I've never been treated this way at any hospital. Patients deserve basic respect and honest communication, especially after an accident.

There was no monitoring throughout the night - only taken during triage, once before discharge... SERIOUSLY??!! Fire someone in the 180's - 200's, one would absolutely expect consistent monitoring, via machine or human. They hung a saline bag, never used. I actually had to advocate on her behalf to keep them from unnecessary blood draws. We will most certainly be examining the bill, once it arrives!! At the slightest hint that they realized I was not going to let them run unnecessarily tests on her, they backed off and quickly discharged her. This is definitely not a hospital I would recommend for anyone with any high blood pressure or cardiac conditions! Am I doctor, no. A Truly Outstanding Hospital Experience…read more Emory Johns Creek Hospital has been a Godsend to my family, and after finally having the opportunity to experience it as a patient myself, I can honestly say that the reputation is well deserved. From the facility itself to the doctors, nurses, and support staff, everything felt well-run, professional, and genuinely focused on patient care. In Gwinnett County, I honestly don't think it gets much better than Emory Johns Creek. I came to the ER with appendicitis, and Dr. Curtis took care of me with precision, confidence, and great attention to my care. I'm especially grateful for the nurses who looked after me, including Rose and Dorothy, as well as all of the other nurses and staff members who treated me with professionalism and kindness throughout my stay. A helpful tip if you ever have to visit the ER: Sunday morning was surprisingly reasonable. We were checked in, evaluated, and seen relatively quickly, and the entire process felt organized and professional. Of course, ER wait times can vary, but our experience was excellent. Even the little things stood out. Parking was easy, the facility was clean and comfortable, and the food was surprisingly healthy and complete for hospital food. Most importantly, I left feeling like I had been cared for by people who truly knew what they were doing--and that matters when you're the patient. 5 solid stars for Emory Johns Creek Hospital! A huge thank you to Dr. Curtis, Rose, Dorothy, and the entire team who took such good care of me. You were true professionals, and I'm genuinely grateful. 5-star hospital and two thumbs up! I have trusted Emory Johns Creek multiple times with imaging, and they continue to fail me. One time, the technician failed to take my allergy to contrast seriously. It was quite unfortunate seeing my clear bad reaction shrugged off, rather than... I don't know, following proper procedure and getting a doctor to evalute me? Most recently, the highly incompetent staff provided me an inaccurate estimate for my pre-payment amount. I am currently owed $125 by Emory and they have not provided this refund in a timely fashion. If you have to have anything done at Emory Johns Creek, please be careful with pre-paying. I know I personally will never pre-pay for another procedure within the Emory medical system after this nightmare of trying to obtain a refund of cash I am clearly owed.

Every member of the staff I encountered treated me with kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern. My room was spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The Environmental Services staff did an outstanding job keeping everything spotless. On the first morning of my stay, my wife immediately commented on how clean the room looked--something she had never said during any previous hospital stay. The staff thoroughly cleaned and dusted the room, mopped the floor, and even changed the trash bag even though it was barely full. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I also noticed a small device under the sink that I later learned was a Synexis air purification system. It operates so quietly that I never heard it, but I was impressed to learn that it continuously helps improve air and surface quality by generating a safe form of hydrogen peroxide. It was reassuring to see Northside Hospital Cherokee investing in technology that helps protect patients from the spread of germs. The food service exceeded my expectations. There was a wide variety of menu choices, the meals arrived on schedule, the portions were generous, the food was served at the proper temperature, and every meal was exactly what I ordered. Hospital food often gets a bad reputation, but that certainly wasn't my experience here. My discharge process was one of the smoothest I've ever experienced. Nurse Brenda made sure my wife and I had everything packed so nothing was left behind. She asked my wife to bring the car around to the entrance, and within just a couple of minutes I was on my way home. The entire process was efficient, organized, and stress-free. The highlight of my stay, however, was the nursing staff. Their compassion, professionalism, and positive attitudes made all the difference. Brenda and Elizabeth cared for me during the day, while Nancy and another night-shift nurse--whose name I unfortunately cannot remember--provided excellent care overnight. Every one of them treated me with respect and kindness, and they always seemed to have a smile on their face. They should be highly commended for their dedication to their patients. If I ever need hospital care again and have a choice, Northside Hospital Cherokee will be my first choice without hesitation. Thank you to everyone who made my stay such a positive experience. Your hard work and commitment to patient care are truly appreciated. Irvin F
