While the majority of the staff I worked with during the course of my LASIK was wonderful - courteous, helpful, informative - I cannot recommend this location, nor would I choose to have any procedures done here in the future. The doctor I worked with, Dr. Sabir, was initially friendly and informative, but when my right eye didn't heal as expected he was dismissive of my concerns, telling me that my vision was 20/20 despite my reporting of distortions that made it so that I couldn't see well enough to read, drive, or see facial expressions. When I forced the issue, refusing to take "looks great! See you in 6 months" as an answer, he treated me with condescension. My husband, who attended an appointment with me be, received more respect and attention than I did.
I saw another doctor in Minneapolis on my own who did a much better job of recognizing my concerns, explaining the possible causes for the delayed healing and making me feel respected. My right eye did clear up after 2 months and I would definitely recommend LASIK for my fellow glasses wearers who wish to swim and come in from cold weather without glasses getting in the way, but I would suggest you go somewhere other than Northern Eye Center.
