Don't go there if you have any significant disabilities, especially invisible ones. They actively discriminate and will support their biased and ignorant professors who choose to be this way. They will even ignore the student affairs department about any approved accommodations and allow the professors to reduce yout grade specifically mentioning the disabilities you have as the reason for why they lowered your grade and they're arrogant enough to admit they failed to accommodate your disabilities. I had to report them to the Justice Department and go through a nightmare to get my grades fixed which took 2 years of waiting for the Justice Department to investigate the evidence I had which ultimately proved my case. I never asked for money, but just that my grades be fixed and that the staff be forced to go through more education about disabilities of all kinds and how to accommodate them. This is what the Justice Department demanded of the University and I was pleased with that; however, it made me a bigger target. I stayed away from college for 2 years as the investigation was going on and because of the trauma I was put through. I foolishly thought I could return to finish my degree there after all this was settled, but I didn't realize the level of malice they held for me after holding them responsible for their actions. I had a perfect 4.0 GPA before all this and a member of countless honor societies. I was on the president's honor list every single semester of college as well. Suddenly, I simply wasn't good enough at anything according to them and they continued to target me even more. I was suffering from serious spinal conditions, a brain tumor and a rare muscular disease, and I wasn't allowed to sit down during my internship. I was given no consideration for my health issues whatsoever, and was even verbally attacked for needing to go to the doctor. They made it seem as of I was some lazy, party girl who was just staying up late drinking or something and had no genuine excuse to miss any days. They made it their mission to make people think the worse of me and it created a very hostile environment. Please attend any other college if you're disabled and watch your back. Keep detailed records and gather evidence if they discriminate against you. Record any meetings they make you attend because they will lie about the details if you don't. If you dare to report them for discrimination, never return to that college because they'll hold a grudge forever and they cover for each other. You'll be ganged up on and they'll make it as hard as possible for you to succeed. It doesn't matter how great your academic record is. They will run an organized smear campaign against you and destroy any chance of you having a successful internship if that's required for your degree. Their mission will be to ruin your reputation at any cost to punish you for reporting their discrimination. I can prove everything I've said here since I have the report that the Justice Department sent me when they completed their investigation and informed me of what actions they were taking against this college for what they did to me originally. I wish I had made another report after I foolishly returned to the this college to finish my degree and they targeted me in other ways to destroy me. I was literally 3 weeks away from finishing my internship when they dismissed me because I missed a day due to being sick. I even had a doctor's note. It didn't matter since they had already targeted me from the start of that semester and placed me with the same intern coordinator who was part of the first discrimination case I made against them. Obviously, that made it very uncomfortable from the start and he was immediately biased and aggressive towards me. They also placed me with someone they knew well who had graduated from NSU to do my internship with, and this lady was immediately hostile towards me. They made up lies and made it impossible to successfully do anything. Before that, they had me with someone who was literally never there during my internship because she was having lots of personal issues herself. This defeated the purpose of me being there since I was supposed to be mentored by her and NOT doing her job full time alone. This school blamed me for this as well because I guess I was supposed to agree to be an unpaid slave with no mentor there to teach me. According to their own rules about internships, a certified personal was supposed to be in the room with me at all times, but weeks would go by without that. It was okay for the certified staff who were getting laid to miss excessive amounts of days/weeks, but I was attacked for missing a few days for severe illness that was well documented. read more
