All the doctors are nice but this dude telling me at my age To don't bring my kid at ER and take her to her primary doctor on EASTER! I took my daughter here on 02/7 and she was in a lot of pain and had a fever. They did a uti test and came back negative so they sent her urine off for a culture. They did send her home with presciption for an antibiotic just in case. A couple days go by and she is in more pain even after taking the medicine. We ended up going to Children's hospital she was an admitted after all tests she had a cantaloupe size tumor on her ovary. She had to have surgery the next day to remove. It was a rare immature tertoma. The moral of my review is don't go here worst place you can go. They did one test on her and they even checked her abdominal but could not feel this massive tumor. This could have been a grave mistake!!! Never ever will I go to a North Suburban hospital again!!!! read more

Do not even walk in here, even if insured. Two stitches and a tetanus shot because my fiancé had a tissue deep 1 inch wide cut that we couldn't get to stop bleeding non stop. Take a wild guess how much they want for this visit.. $9000!! Hahahah no ambulance, no transfusion, no surgery, no sedation, so.. I'm as confused as you probably are. North Suburban Rep said that "wasn't too bad" considering it's $2500 after insurance. I highly recommend suffering and bleeding rather than walking in here. I'm from out of town. I was here in Oct and they gave me a rx for anxiety and panic attacks. I have not been home. I have been traveling. I came in again as I was here again visiting my children. The prescription was empty. I wanted to know if they could prescribe more anxiety pills. Enough to get me home. They would ONLY if I went through the visit again. Of course. That way they could bill Medicare again. I refused to do that because I felt it was unnecessary. I walked out without them helping me one tiny bit. They also were very cold and callous. Go to a different one. These people would rather sit around and do nothing rather than help you. read more

Recently my sons' each broke their arms, on separate occasions. One fell off of a swing trying to put a shirt on (while swinging) and the other fell on my dad's driveway the day that the first one got his cast off... good times. Anyway, this place was right up the street and I knew they could do x-rays, so when my first son fell of the swing and complained of some arm pain, I thought "why not?" We headed over at about 8pm, we were home with a diagnosis and splint by 8:45... maybe even a bit before that. It was so fast, we were amazed! The doctor was super friendly and the x-ray guy? I cannot even begin to tell you how friendly that guy was, he made my little boy smile and laugh the whole time. It was a good experience. We took our other son back when he hurt his arm (the same type of break, opposite arm) and it was just as wonderful. I have gone there myself for an infection and I was only there an hour before they knew what was going on and had me on my way. I was also taken there once by ambulance and the care was amazing. I would recommend this place over an emergency room any day, it was so much faster and the care is great. read more

Staff is condescending and judgmental. Care is slow and most of the nursing staff has been extremely condescending when speaking to my boyfriend who we brought in with extreme pain. He sat without any medication for about 45 minutes while painfully and violently vomiting. Some of the nursing staff has been helpful but the majority have been rude and condescending in their care. Would not recommend, instead head to a real Emergency Room/Hospital as this place isn't worth it read more

First off, be aware this is not an urgent care. This is considered an emergency room by most insurance companies! We found out the difference when the bills started coming in. Regardless, I wouldn't hesitate to bring either of the minions here if needed. Daughter injured her ankle at cheer practice, but we were unsure where to take her at 8 at night. Would the urgent care be equipped to handle a potential tendon tear? Would we be better off biting our tongues and taking her over to North Suburban? A quick check of HealthOne's website showed a 25 minute wait at North Suburban but less than five at this location - plus, it was conveniently close to home! She was checked in promptly and taken immediately to a comfortable exam room with a minimal wait to see a doctor. Twenty minutes, three x-rays and a gel cast later and we were on our way home with a mild sprain diagnosis - so, in and out with diagnosis in less time than if we'd gone to a traditional ER. As I said, though, this is not an urgent care, and we wound up with a pretty hefty bill for a diagnosis the urgent care could have treated. But, I'd come here in a heartbeat for more critical conditions. read more

This is a stand-alone ER, not attached to a large (and cumbersome hospital). We ended up here after the urgent care gave me a hard time about my medical insurance and desk clerk decided my injury wasn't serious. (um, excuse me!?) I went in because I sliced open my pinkie finger on an open can of beans. It was cut in two places and had been bleeding profusely for about an hour. Note to self-- no more cooking. Spring for take out! I was here last week on a Thursday night at about 9 PM. I checked in using my ID-- it was no problem and there were no people waiting. Within 30 seconds, an EMT and nurse walked me back to a room. The paramedic was serious but concerned; he wrote down my medications and took my vitals. The room was clean and comfortable. After a few minutes, a doctor came in to see my injury. She was also pleasant and had a great bedside manner. She made a diagnosis based on the severity of the cut and said the EMT would be back shortly to numb my finger and clean it. The hospital administrator came in and asked for insurance information. He was very helpful, calm, and laid back. He made me feel at ease (I may not feel so well when the bills come!) which is exactly the way you want to feel when your adrenaline is rushing from an injury. He printed out some information that went along with my insurance and that was very helpful to me. My hand was pretty disgusting looking at that point and he didn't flinch or bat an eye. The EMT numbed my finger and brought me crackers and an oral painkiller. After those had taken effect, he used towels and saline to clean my finger for the sutures. It was convenient and easy that all of this was accomplished in one room-- I didn't have to switch or be jostled around. The EMT didn't even mind my companion taking lots of pictures of this experience. (It was my first time getting stitches!) The doctor returned, explained the stitches procedure, the follow-up care, and medication. She was understanding and respectful of my discomfort and laughed at my stupid jokes. The EMT was back to dress and put a splint on my finger and the charge nurse arrived making sure I understood the after -care instructions and had my scripts for medication after. I couldn't have had a better experience at an ER. No one plans or hopes for accidents to cause injuries, but if you're in the North Denver area, this ER gave excellent care, was efficient, and all around outstanding. read more

They gave her Motrin and an IV for fluids. We were there for a total of 3 hours, and they charged us over 1,300$. It was literally cheaper to give birth to her (with complications) and stay in the hospital for two days. read more

I have taken my son here, my husband has been seen here and I have also. It is very convenient and close by. I have no complaints about the wait and the staff was great. However, the billing department cannot seem to get it together. My husband is military so we have tricare and always get pre-authorization before going. They billed my husband under somebody with a similar name for his visit, they have billed me stating they cannot find my husbands information under tricare in their system (we have had tricare for 17 year) and I just received a bill for my son and it states he was not enrolled at the time of service. He has had tricare since the day he was born. Every single visit, we get billed and have to go through the hassle of making phone calls to get the bills straightened out. Unfortunately, I will probably find another place to go and save myself the headache. read more

First let me say that we have been to this ER many times since we've lived here and actually loved it!! Until now...My wife a disabled veteran, Black (I Strongly believe race to be a factor), and 94lbs!!! She went to this ER after a suicide attempt.This visit was a nightmare that got worse once we received a knock on the door 2 months later.. local police were there to arrest her on a warrant because of that visit (2 Felony charges)! I mean for someone to never have any law issues, honorably discharged veteran, thats steep in the context of why not just let her killer herself, because I'm sure prison just made her feel sooo much better!! This is Truely disgusting and scary as a Veteran myself. Did she kill or mangle someone for life!!?? No Not even Close but I can suspect that with those charges and being black she will never be able to use what she went to school for.. If I could give them no stars or even a negative star I would. This is by far the worst ER around. They do not except any kind of insurance, so if you decide to go there be prepared to bend over. I took my daughter there to get stitches for her forehead, three tiny stitches and it has cost me over $3000. They have no interest in working with my insurance company and they are set on charging me the full amount no discounts of any kind. The people that work in there are rude and inconsiderate(their billing department is even worse) they do not give a crap about you they just want your money!!!!!!!!!!! BE AWARE this is a free standing ER and you will be billed as such. I went in to get an antibiotic for a breast infection after my OB couldn't see me and all they did was take my temperature and write me a prescription. Total time in and out the door was 30 minutes. My son suffers from pancreatitis and has episodes where we are unable to control his symptoms and he also has had problems with Canaboid Hypernesis Syndrome and these two are very identical with symptoms. I have used the services of Northeast several times and have never been treated as we were with last visit. Rather he was being treated for pancreatitis or CHS the facility should have treated him the same. I felt once they suspect ed it could be CHS we were treated very unkind. First my son was shivering in pain no one asked to give him a blanket I took it upon myself to find the blankets and cover him myself. After his initial examination by Olivia I asked if he'd be given pain medicine. Her response was "oh is he in pain"? Uh yes that's why we are here and what he has been telling you. After an hour I pursued pain relieve for him they brought in wrong medicine finally after an hour an half again after I kept asking they gave him dilata (pain killer). Five minutes after the machine kept beeping and finally I figured out his oxygen levels had dropped drastically. I again went to nurse station saying why isn't he on oxygen. The nurse came in and put oxygen on him. Then asked me - what he was given in the past. My response was trying to answer but then asked don't you have this on record?? It didn't stop here. The Dr finally came in asking if he should bring in surgeon or did he want to go home? A surgeon? For what? He didn't need surgeon the Dr was being incredibly obnoxious to him. Again I cannot believe how heartless and cold this staff was. I just kept hearing that they were really busy but still does not excuse the way he was treated. I have also filed a complaint through the patient advocacy hoping that nobody is treated like this again. I pay my insurance and my co-pays not to be treated like this but to be treated for the symptoms. We go to hospital only when pain or problem is unbearable. read more
