On Wednesday December 17th, 2025, I was picked up by a NorthBay Transit Driver Named Phill Romando. This man is an exceptional person & driver. He got me to my destination incident free. The speed limit was observed & respected. And when it was time for my pick up after my visit was done with, Mr. Phill Romando showed up exactly on time. Dont know if the driver gets paid by the mile but by the way he was driving seemed like it. Speeding in town, weaving in and out of traffic. If your a transport company you should put dash cams in if you havent already and review the footage randomly to make sure your drivers are representing the company well. read more

When going on a medical appointment I think we would all like to feel kindness and respect from our drivers. Michael really goes above and beyond. Extremely polite, extremely empathetic. I have never in my whole life had to endure this with such a dangerous driver rude and over anxious . My nightmare of a ride was from San Francisco to Mount Shasta. By Northbay' ! He was racing slamming on the brakes. Other drivers were flipping him off As he continued to cut off other cars driving 80 to 90 miles an hour. He was a Bully on the road. I told him many times he was hurting me and that I had a fractured neck. I didn't think I was going to make it the way he was driving and Jerking me around .I made two phone calls to family members to see if they could pick me up. This is dangerous and uncalled for. PSYCHOTIC DRIVER!! Had my children in tears. Laying on his horn swerving at us, throwing his hands in the air yelling, clenching his teeth at us with his long dark greasy hair. He was inches away from hitting us multiple times forcing us to almost hit the retaining wall. He would speed up over 90mph then get stuck behind someone and do the same thing to them. BE AWARE. By the reviews, I see this is a common issue with the vehicle and the company itself. Clearly the owner doesn't care about the well being and safety of others if this is a common occurence and they have done nothing to address it or hire safe reliable drivers. So needless to say we will be submitting our dash cam footage to the authorities. read more

Do not use if you can avoid them. Unreliable and dangerous drivers. I have regular appointments and they only show up 75% of the time. No calls or contact when they don't show. The driver I rode with today actually let the car drift to the right while using both hands to text on her phone then jerked the wheel back to center after a few seconds. She did this THREE times in a row, just went back to texting like it was no big deal. I asked Partnership not to set me up with rides from them, but they still are. read more

This company needs to be inspected by Partnership ASAP. When the drivers actually show up they are great. However when Partnership dispatches and says NorthBay was dispatched, we get no call, no text. My son has to be to dispatches a specific time and day. It's a life or death kind of thing. Thanks to the driver named Molly, I made a very important appointment. In the pouring rain and with just a few minutes until the appointment I had just about given up all hope of making it. I am forever grateful she answered her phone that morning. With no hesitation, she picked me up & I made it to my appointment on time. Molly always has a fantastic attitude. Did I mention it was her day off & pouring rain? It is extremely refreshing meeting a real person who actually cares that something is important in my world. Molly wasn't just doing her job that day. I have recently had to utilize their service thru Partnership Insurance which I would imagine is most likely one of their biggest accts. It was not the drivers fault but my appts are scheduled the sane days & times every week at Mad River in Arcata. Every Mon, Wed and Friday at 2 pm until 2:30 pm. At 2:30 I called my driver to tell them I was finished but the driver got dispatched to pick up someone in Scotia. Same thing happened today but they called in advance so I just canceled it and will find another way there. If I may make a suggestion to their dispatch or their supervisors it would be they need to have better logistics fleet mgmt such as a north team of drivers and a south team of drivers instead of having one driver drop a patient off north and go pick another patient up 40 miles away when the north patient only has a half hour appt. Again, it's not the drivers fault their doing what their told to do but this would be safer and lower wear and tea tare on the vehicles, etc read more

I was "assigned" transportation with this company, however they were a no show and no call. I live 60 miles out of town to the Dr and no other means of transportation for this appt. I can't say enough good things about North Bay Transit group and their manager. I am the caregiver for a man who's 6'8 ft tall and who had suffered a stroke which left him with right side paralysis. We used Northbay Transit Group to transport him by gurney to his cataract surgery. Melissa at the office was wonderful to make arrangements with and the crew of men who came to help assist my client to get to his surgery were considerate and punctual. They all seemed to genuinely care for my clients comfort each step of the way. Kumar the general manager drove 2 hours to us the morning of the surgery to help assist his crew of men for the appointment. I feel lucky to have survived the ride I got from this company. They shouldn't be allowed to transport anyone anywhere. The driver I got was an absolute menace! She was taking photos while driving which caused her to end up in the other lane, speeding, tailgating, cutting people off, etc. How are they still in business with all of these one star ratings??? This individual was driving in and out of traffic on a rainy day, break checking people and cutting people off with less than half a cars length space gap. Going well over 80mph This is a medical transport company?! If you have loved ones don't hire this company and save their lives.. look at all the other reviews that say the same. I called the police and filed a report. When tried to call the company twice to report it.. there was no answer Unless this business is a front.. I'm not sure how the manage to survive. Evidently they don't write down your appointment and then when you call the day before to check you are stuck because they forgot to put it on the schedule. I have witnessed this several times. I work for a wheelchair (power chair) bound woman and they mess her dialysis schedule and her wound care appointments. She can't afford a wheelchair so she has no options other than to hire a service to drive her. Really wish there were better options for Calistoga and St Helena areas. read more

This is the first ad I've seen in the Eureka area, but is a terrible example of driving. The person in this vehicle actively prevented other cars from properly merging and also followed whichever car was in front of her much too closely. a/k/a Tailgating. Given the relative lack of traffic congestion and short distance from one end of town to the other, there is no reason for a driver to behave badly by being rude to others and diminishing road safety for all. read more

Around 11:40pm, a 'Driver' in a silver van was operating the vehicle recklessly on the highway, swerving, clearly under the influence. Speeding and slamming on the breaks attempting to do burnouts. Must've been going at least 90mph. Endangering everyone on the road. North bay transit must not screen employees or have them take drug tests for hire. I Definitely predict lawsuits in the near future for this company. Do better! There are innocent people with families trying to get to their destinations. Our lives should not be in jeopardy due to this company's inability to monitor employees using company property to make poor/ fatal decisions. For this to be a medical transportation company I'm appalled. Business must be slow and they are trying to ensure future customers by causing medical injuries. Maybe this company is transitioning to funeral services by causing deaths. Either way this driver needs their license revoked.... Assuming they even have one. read more

Van 851 was was driving recklessly and speeding on 80 towards Fairfield today 7/1/21 at around 5pm. Tried to call the phone number on the van to report said driving and no one answered. The voicemail set up only had a number and no business name attached. Same number posted for their business on this site. I surely hope there wasn't a patient in the van while this was going on. read more

ABSOLUTE WORST medical transportation company EVER. May 2021 had my first appt w/orthopedic 9:00am, NBT failed to confirm appointment the night before. When I called NBT to confirm, they said driver called in sick that morning. Not until I called did they reschedule w/other driver (MTM was notified of delay). I was 45 min late to my appointment and had to wait nearly 3 hours to be seen as they were fitting me in between appointments. Aug 2021 had my first post operative appointment and once again NBT failed to confirm ride the night before. When I called MTM they contacted dispatch, dispatch indicated the driver was late due to fires (we don't have fires in Humboldt County), however had that been the case the driver never called to communicate that he would be late. When I called NBT 2 minutes later, the dispatcher gave me a different story stating he just got the work order that morning and he kicked it back saying they didn't have any drivers. I didn't make it to my appointment until 2:00pm that day thanks to a friend. This company should not be allowed to transport patients no matter the circumstances. You either have to reschedule which takes weeks sometimes months up here in rural CA, or you cancel and I've already had to cancel my PT appointment today (Aug 2021) because they did not confirm pick up AGAIN. Horrible!! I set up a ride 2 WEEKS prior for a Dr appointment and they called to ask me to reschedule my appointment time the day before, so I did. The driver calls me when he's supposed to be at my house saying He's 45 minutes away. I AGAIN rechseduled my DR appointment and said he needs to be here at the time he stated.. he then says he doesn't know where he's going so he can't guarantee that... mind I am PREGNANT with gestational diabetes. this appointment is very important!! hes still late and i called him he tells me he's 15 minutes away STILL! The so called "manager" didnt even care when I called crying upset and doesn't see the big deal. I gave them 2 weeks notice!! I can only imagine how long it takes them when you don't set it up.. WOW. I'm completely surprised by how they handle this and I'll be calling the insurance company they work with as well. People that need reliable transportation to their DR appoinments CANT depend on this company and the insurance company need to drop them!! Disgrace. read more
