My local post office - unfortunately most of the time it's very busy with the queues quite often stretching all the way down the corridor! They have tried to ease this with the abilty to drop parcels at the front too, but still could be better. read more

this is a big post office but i warn you it gets very busy so expect long queues, frendly staff

I am now changing my 5 five rating to 2 stars. Reason why? Well read. I have decided to edit my review and start a fresh. I went into this post office today and the big woman with the black hair tried to overcharge me for a letter to Germany. The letter was smaller than a large letter but I would let it pass as that anyway as it would not fit through the small one without forcing it. Anyway to cut a long story short she was trying her hardest to make me suffer with the rise in postage costs by charging me £8.50 for this to go to Germany signed for. I told her that it is a large letter and if it fits through the slot regardless of what is in it. It is a large letter. No she moaned, it is not a large letter, you said it has ear buds in it. Yes I said, but it still goes through the slot of large letter. No but it is not a letter she said. God she was so persistent, I told her I am going to take it to the other post office to get it posted as they are happy to do this, and it passes regulations that royal mail have now set. The slot is that size for a reason, she just wanted to be a miserable moaner. Anyway, got the LARGE LETTER posted through ROYAL MAIL AIRMAIL for £6.58 and have the receipt. I will not ever be going back to this post office after this, before this I was a regular but they will be glad to get rid of me now as I used to bring in quite a lot of parcels, and they clearly did not like this. However it was good for business but their business has gone from me now. I don't like being ROBBED from postage as this comes out of my pocket, not the customers. So enjoy your job girl, hopefully you don't annoy too many people and turn business away from the shop, cause putting it simply, your not helpful, you obviously like to argue rather than help, and you can't do your job properly, like the Main Post Office said. I hope they get someone that knows how to do the job properly and does not like to rip people off, when she finally leaves or is dismissed, I will probably go back there as the others are nicer and are not as argumentative, but that is only a probably. I take it all back from the previous review, first impressions are different, lesson learnt! Carl. read more
