Food is still not that great, in my own opinion, but I must say they have been there a very long time and I wish them well as they close their doors in 2026. They were obviously doing something right for being in that location for as many years as they were!

Delicious and fresh! A cozy quick bite on a blustery day did not disappoint. The panini was flavorful and the chicken wrap was very flavorful.

We came here for lunch as all diners they have a very extensive menu. However, I was able to pick something. I picked the Nets sandwich. They have many sports themed sandwiches that sound good. The nets sandwich had corn beef & pastrami I added sautéed onions. It was good. My friend had the Mets which was hot roast beef which looked really good. I'll try that next time. The waiter was nice & theres valet as well.

North Shore is a Queens mainstay. North Shore diner has been on this corner for 30+ years. In what seems like a past life at this point, I used to frequent North Shore mainly after a late night out. Those night are fewer and fewer sadly. It had been a while and I recently returned mainly for a birthday lunch for an old friend. The food was never anything extraordinary, standard fare for a diner open pretty much all the time. I want to say the food was better back then or maybe it was because I didn't know any better. I remembered eating a lot of breakfast along with an occasional steak and eggs at 3am. Those were really fun times. The breakfast this time was a little stale, the corned beef was noticeably dry. I should have gotten the burger which I was told was better. The onion rings and fries were ok. I'm not sure if it's been the same owners all this time. It basically looks the same as it was the last time I was here. The one modern update is a charging station up front for those that need to juice their phones. When I no longer see North Shore Diner on this corner I will miss seeing it for sure even if I am no longer a regular.

Typical diner menu . Some diners have really went up in price but they seem the same here with daily specials. I took advantage of the Monday omelette special for $17.95. It comes with your choice of varieties of omelettes, cup of soup , home fries or French fries, choice of toast and a fountain drink. I have to say , a pretty good deal ! I had a veggie omelette , Yankee bean soup , French fries , rye toast and seltzer with lemon. It was very filling. Service was on point. Food could have been a little more tasty but decent. The inside is a regular diner decor . There is a private lot.

    $13.00 sandwich??!!

They charged me $13.00 for this takeout egg sandwich. Sadly, I got it to go and couldn't return due to my work or else I would have demanded a refund. I know prices are high, but at least make me a good sandwich. Eggs were over cooked and the 2 small pieces of bacon were undercooked. No wonder they only have 3 stars.

Dropped by for a fast breakfast and coffee. French toast was good. Service was fast. Coffee was refilled frequently. Bacon was nice and crispy just the way I like it. It is pricy though.

This place never disappoints. Authentic Greek own diner, the owner is always there to welcome customers. Food was served fast and hot.

I know diners are a thing of the past but once in a while I crave "diner food " because it gives breakfast a different meaning these days at least to me . It makes me feel like I am getting a good breakfast when I eat at diners in the morning . It's been a while since I ate at a diner and I notice the prices have gone up a lot as 2 eggs any style is 10 dollars these days. Diners have closed down left and right these days and it's hard to find one that is still open these days . I ordered a small coffee and a egg Benedict . The waitress was very attentive and friendly . Checks in on me a couple times to see if I want more coffee. The whole diner vibe makes me feel so much better eating in the morning. The eggs were perfect as it was not too over cooked and not too running . No one makes better eggs than the eggs at the diners .Although it was an expensive breakfast as the bill came out to 25 dollars without tip yet for a cup of coffee and 2 eggs and some potato's , I enjoyed, the food , the service and the atmosphere because I know there are not many diners that are still operating these days .

Classic dinner with a variety of menu options. Solid food options for a diner, and the prices are to be expected. At least the portions are big and you'll either be full, or have leftovers for tomorrow. The staff are attentive and respectful. There's parking in the back as well!

Beef stew special. Comes with a drink and cup of soup.

I've been coming here for many years. All thru the pandemic as well. The food is excellent. The service extraordinary. Nice clean well lit diner with parking lot. Breakfast food is delicious and excellent portions and coffee. Great lunch specials and affordable prices. I recommend the burgers, salads, beef stew, matzoh ball soup, corned beef is outstanding. This was the beef stew from my visit yesterday. Waiters and waitresses and owners are all lovely people.

I remember coming to this place in its previous iteration (think it was called Jackson Hole)..and was excited to be trying a new spot (at least it was new to us!) I ordered my chicken souvlaki platter, but asked them to hold the fries (and just add extra salad). Others at the table had the chicken avocado club sandwich and a BLT (no tomato). Everything arrived very quickly....super hot and fresh. The food was excellent! My souvlaki was cooked perfectly and the giant chunk of feta on top of the salad was delightful. I probably should've asked them to hold the pita, but I did indulge in most of it. The tzatziki sauce was also just right. Nice to know that there's another good diner to choose from in the old hood!

Folks, iam not cheap or watch how much I spend when we go out to eat but I refuse to be taken advantage off of what I get charged. THe mushroom omelet was charged for every thing that they put in .I was charged individually for the peppers ,mushrooms and what ever else they put in .the western omelet was not and had the amount of ingredients as the mushroom.ftom $12.95 the amount increased $5 more.why? The hash browns were also very expensive and the two strawberries on the waffle were $7.the Nutella swirling was also a $7 charge. Like I previously mentioned iam not cheap at all.but when I have seen the bill of $109.00 itpissedme off and I felt that I was raped.yes i know everything has increased and I know what the manager is going to say when they see this review. This is, by far, the worst service I have ever experienced…read more I was really pulling for this place. I wanted it to succeed. I told everyone about it, that it was some of the best pizza in New York. I gave them so many chances. Last night was the final straw. Made a reservation for Friday night at 8PM. We arrived at 8:05. The waitress who's basically always there, who sounds like she smokes about a pack a day, was the only waitress there that night. I felt for her, but also, not my problem. We didn't receive water or a full set of utensils and menu until about 8:15. At about 8:25, she took our order, and we ordered a few apps and calzone and pizza. I had to ask for my coke about 4 times until she remembered to bring it. Water was NEVER refilled. We were never asked if we were ok. Around 8:50, we finally received our apps. It was ok, they've made it better in the past. Ambiance was starting to die down as the restaurant was clearing out. We felt a bit bad for her, but also, this wasn't our fault, that they were unprepared for a Friday night rush (her words). By 9:15, we were furious and our moods were ruined. We sat down at 8:05, ordered before 8:30, we were the only ones left and our pizza and calzone were yet to be found. Shortly before 9:30, it arrived. And again, it was pretty good, but not wait over an hour for it good. I wanted this place to succeed. The pizza maker from Italy deserves a better crew. The waitress doesn't know how to be a waitress, at all. No apologies, not taking anything off the check, not checking on us. There's no busboy, no one dedicated to take out, no manager. It seems that everyone plays each others roles, and quite poorly. They've lost a loyal customer tonight. We will NEVER give this place another try.

What started out as a snafu, turned into a lovely afternoon…read more We arrived for our reservation for 15 people on a snowy afternoon to find only 1 person working and no record of our reservation. Alessandro was wonderful and worked so hard to accommodate us all by himself. We decided to keep it simple and order a bunch of pizzas to share as well as a family style salad. Pizza was served one type at a time, it felt like a pizza tasting menu and I loved every second of it. We started off the the Margherita, which was simple and delicious. His dough is perfectly springy and light, but also has great flavor as does the sauce. Prosciutto Pie included mozzarella, arugula, prosciutto and shaved Parmigiano cheese. Another delicious version, you can feel the high quality of the ingredients with this one. Salsiccia Pie used a spicy soppressata, tomato sauce and mozzarella. It's hard to believe but each "course" seemed to be better than the last. Svetonio Pie has meatballs, tomato sauce, ricotta, crispy pancetta, kalamata olives and basil. This was the most complex pie in terms of flavors, but they all worked so well together. The Arugula Salad with cherry tomato red onion, mozzarella cubes was the perfect acidic accompaniment to the pizzas. The restaurant itself is small and rustic, but it felt so homey and made for a perfect spot for our little celebration. Everyone agreed the pizza was excellent all around. I can't wait to return to try more of the menu.
