in the last week Worst experience with immigration lawyer EVER! my husband went in only to see if they could schedule the interviews in Juarez for a green card that was already pre approved for the first part, meaning all past occurrences had been covered. She charged 100 dollars for half hour consultation. Just to say she could not do anything at all for us, that he could not even help him apply for his sentry card because of my visa revocation! I hired them about a two years ago now- everything was going smoothly at the begining and seemed very promising. I cant complain about the staff- they are all great- but we have been having some communication issues with them.. I have had this conversation with them about this problem numerous times, and seems like they just sugar coat it and in continues to happen.. I know they have multiple cases to manage, but it would be great if they called their clients once a month just to keep them in the loop of whats going on with your case... My husband and I began working with North County Immigration almost 4 years ago. My husband immigrated to the United Sates as a child; has never left the country since then, never been arrested, and legally married me (a U.S. citizen) in 2014 after over a decade of dating. Be careful with these people. They are not honest and are going to steal your money. I paid ahead of time for a phone appointment $100 to be specific. Due to work related issues I was unable to answer my phone. I called back to reschedule and they refused to make another appointment without paying another $100. They called only once didn't even try a second time. Really bad customer service as well. Would not recommend. They are only in it for money not to help the community. This office has got to be the most unorganized, do nothing group of lawyers attorneys or whatever they call themselves. The rate they charge i wish I went back to the lawyer who was only 1000, but I figured they cost A LOT MORE they must know what they're doing. Luckily my information wasn't leaked to just anyone but a family member of mine received call back's when I called their office and had to leave messages, instead of calling me because they are just so unorganized that they mixed our files. Not to mention putting the incorrect address on USCIS documents and not changing it. Don't count on this office for anything rather than a headache, waste of time and money. They don't give their best effort, or attention to you or your case and let you think it's your fault for how long it's taking. Ended up cancelling the case that was being worked on and losing my money because it was not worth the hassle of continuing here. Office Staff Unprofessional, Inexperienced, and Rude: I called this office to setup an international consultation via Google Hangouts as their website indicates this is an option. A young woman answered the phone. She spoke so softly and was mumbling that I could not understand what she said. I took a guess at what she was trying to say and repeated it back to her. She confirmed I was correct. I then stated that I wanted to schedule an international consultation via Google Hangouts. She said they don't do that. I told her their website stated they offer this tool as a way to communicate. She put me on hold, came back to the phone, and said the person would need to call their office because they do not use Google Hangouts. I asked if there were other options. She put me on hold, came back to the phone, and stated there were no other options. I asked why her website states they use Google Hangouts if they don't. She said she didn't know why. I asked if there was someone else in the office I could speak to. She placed me on hold. Another woman asked, "Can I help you?" I asked if there was another option to communicate internationally so we don't incur extensive international calling fees. She said no. I told her about her website. She responded that she would let the attorney know and hung up before I could say anything else. After reading other reviews about their office staff, I am glad I will not be using this attorney. read more

On Nov. 18, 2016 I had my interview with USCIS and got approved to be a resident. The joy was overwhelming but it didn't feel real, even after I received my resident card a few days before my 28th birthday, I had mixed feelings. I still know many people that are in the situation I was in. I came to the U.S. when I was 4 years old, went to school K-12 in Oceanside, CA. Graduated from CSUSM with a bachelors degree in Human Development and a minor in Sociology. Through it all I have faith that God has always been watching over me, providing me with every opportunity I've had. Through DACA, I was able to apply for advanced parole to leave the country and have a "legal" entry which then allowed me to "adjust" my status through marriage to Edward (a U.S. citizen). At age 28, I could finally say I am a United States resident and I owe it to Edward and the lawyer who helped us. Anna Hysell gave us an honest and professional opinion from the beginning. My boyfriend and I came here maybe 3 months ago seeking help for his DACA renewal (it had been rejected a few times saying we missed a signature and we couldn't for the life of us figure out where) I was told on the phone that I could set up a $100 consultation and the lawyer would go over it with us. When we get there we pay, we wait, sit down with the lawyer, and are told she actually doesn't help with DACA cases. We were confused and devastated. She did refund the consultation charge and, at our pleading for help or a referral to someone who could help, find the missing signature under some obscure portion of the paperwork (the only reason she's getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because his paperwork was finally accepted after this). I honestly have no idea whether or not the lawyer/s here are helpful or good at what they do but the reason I'm writing this review and giving this establishment only 2 stars was the way she spoke to us. While telling us she doesn't take DACA cases, instead of just stopping there- just stopping at "I actually don't work on DACA cases I'm so sorry" or something similar (she did not actually apologize to us for anything other than her assistant even letting us book the appointment, and even then she was defensive) she literally said, out loud, to my boyfriend, "Your case just isn't important enough for me to waste my time on it. I take much more difficult cases than yours." TO HIS FACE. How can someone literally tell a person that their ENTIRE LIFE isn't important enough for your time. I don't give a f*#k if that's how you really feel but to say that to my boyfriends face was disgusting and appalling. He was more annoyed she didn't try to up sell him to residency, something he might have considered applying for (and shelling out $$$ for) if given the appropriate sales schpeil. I've been meaning to write this review for ages and have just now gotten around to it. Glad she's done good work for some of you here but beware!!! My dad and I attended there immigration seminar in December to get information on the new obama law for parents. I thought this was suppose to be a free seminar but they charged for consultations which I thought was strange. We paid the fee anyway and then I found out the obama law did not pass so how could she charge for something that was not approved yet??? Also the website still says the obama law is here but my dad has talked to other lawyers who say the law was cancelled. The website also says she worked for the department of homeland security which I think she uses to make people think she knows what the government wants and to make people think she has connections with the government. After speaking to other lawyers I dont think we will go back. I also don't think this attorney can speak spanish because she uses a translator. The latino community is to often taken advantage of so please be careful. read more
