Where to start? After parking in the pothole-ridden parking lot your first impression when…read moreentering "the mall" is the carpeting...which is everywhere. I've NEVER seen a mall with carpeting throughout...much less worn carpet with what appears to be brownish glue that was apparently applied too thick and has seeped through everywhere (nice). In fairness, it's offset nicely by the stains. Then there's the "food court" which is an abandoned area with NO food vendors (haven't been any in years from what I can tell). Most of the store spaces are empty and aside from Shopko and JC Penney, the mall consists mostly of petite, overpriced women's clothing and accessory shops (where are all these high-income petite women coming from?). The JC Penney is so small that it has little to offer in the way of selection or style (most of the men's department is devoted to "big and tall" stuff...meaning if you're under 6 Ft. 5 in. and/or 300 lbs. you won't find much there). Tradehome actually has quality shoes which are worth the price (good thing since the only other place to buy non-plastic shoes is JC Penney...but they don't have a very good selection and are guaranteed not to have your size) and they're the only store I bother visiting. Ditto for Dunham's which has crammed way too much stuff into their limited space...it's suffocating just walking through there. I've tried to figure out why this "mall" even exists. Much nicer malls in other towns across the country have closed. The new owners must be getting a tax write-off for the place as I don't see any changes since the sale. Unless they can attract some worthwhile businesses and get serious about some badly needed renovations, I'll take my money elsewhere.

From the owner: Offering the Delta County area and beyond a great shopping experience, with stores such as Glik's,…read moreMaurices, Christopher & Banks, Dunham's Sports, Tradehome Shoes, Shopko, JoAnn Fabric & Crafts and more.

This is one of my all time favorite shops in Door County!…read more Easy to find, in the Country Walk Shops behind Piggly Wiggly, it is simply packed full of treasures! This store has vintage clothing and jewelry, consignment clothing, new clothing samples, scarves, purses, and more. I can spend hours browsing in this store. And Betsy, the owner, is such a lovely person. I usually find something unique to buy each time I stop in and so do the friends I bring with me. You will truly enjoy Betsy's decorating talent as the shop is filled with vintage hats and displays. A must stop if you're anywhere near Sister Bay!

If you like clothes be prepared to spend some time treasure hunting in this shop. ON this year's trip I got a great deal on the most buttery leather Coach bag. Plus a couple of bags just loaded with great designer brands (many were even new with tags!). They carry both standard and plus sizes too. I have been going here for at least 10 years when we go up to Door County on vacation and I am never disappointed. Besty, the owner, is the genuine article herself. It is a little tucked away in the cute boardwalk of shops behind the Piggly Wiggly grocery store. Plus she has a couple of comfy chairs right in the shop where your hubby/boyfriend can relax while he waits.
