What a wonderful surprise! I came to Milan to visit my daughter and her family and brought our…read moredaughter and granddaughter with us. We dined out each night on the economy Italian style. My daughter suggested we get a taste of home - soul food and specifically fried chicken and fixin's. We were expecting an Italian adaptation of fried chicken and were transported back to my wife's home state of Georgia. The food came family style and I reached over to grab a fry. I was shocked at the back-end seasoning and how it immediately evoked images of home kitchen. The next was a drumette. Juicy, crispy and flavorful. The potato salad was creamy, sweet and chunky. We went in! Everybody got quiet and the eating was on! We ate until we were stuffed and dessert was still to come. The signature dessert is the banana key lime pie. A visitor MUST taste that pie. It's bright, tart and creamy with a graham crust. The banana is subtle and cuts the tart with the right amount of sweetness. As you can tell, our family is full of foodies. The food is delicious but the experience is all about Corey! He makes everyone feel welcome and takes the time to join each diner in the upper level dining area. His laugh is infectious and his easy manner beckons customers back for more. I felt like I was back in my grandmother's kitchen where there was always enough to share and conversation was easy.

Got a chance to meet the man behind this amazing fried chicken, he is so sweet and welcoming. Made us felt at home and made our visit so enjoyable. Thank you, Corey and Milan I am so jealous we don't have Corey's in the state.

This cool spot says American Diner all over it. If you're in Milan and a little nostalgic of…read moreAmerica or if you just want to experience the "American" experience, this is the spot to go to! Milk shakes bring all the boys to the..table! No, but really, their milkshakes are to die for and probably only one of the few spots they make them at Milan. From burgers to burritos, spaghetti and meat balls to Mac and cheese, ribs to veggie burgers. They've got it all! The best part is everyone can find something to eat in their wide variety menu. ***Vegetarian and vegan friendly*** When you walk in, immediately you're eyes get lost with all the cool stuff on the walls and awesome decoration. You seriously feel like you walked into a diner from the 50's. This place is big enough for groups and you may make reservations ahead of time! Everything is made fresh to order and the food is pretty good! Definitely a place to go to in Milan near the San Siro stadium!

We were shown to one of the empty tables pretty quickly and had plenty if time to look over their extensive menu. We waited. And waited. And waited. When another customer came up to the bar to say their after meal coffee was never delivered, the bartender gave her a hard time. At this point we decided they were probably understaffed and moved on down the road.

Last place I planned on eating at while in Milan was a burger joint, but I did, and let me tell…read moreyou, it was a good burger. A very good burger. And I am not a person who would ordinarily put sliced cucumber on a Bacon Burger (beef burger, tomato, onion, cucumber, mayo, ketchup, iceberg lettuce and bacon /€8), but it was crunchy good. Mama Burger's Agnello location was very clean, the Men's washroom was clean, the counter service was friendly and fast (Thank You, Cassa!), my special order burger was done correctly by the kitchen, and despite the politically-incorrect logo (sorry, Mama, it is what it is), I was impressed. Four Stars -- Mama, you are doing burgers and service right!

It's pretty difficult to find decent non-Italian food in MIlan, so after a month and a half of what…read moreseemed like endless paninis, pizza and pasta, this place was a god send. I try to be impartial in this review though, and review it just like any other burger place in any country (not as a burger place in MILAN, where I'd probably be more lenient). I came here for lunch and got the lunch menu, which is €10 for any burger (except the angus and another which I forget), fries, a drink, and a coffee. I would recommend that lunch is the best time to come for this reason, any other time of day a burger itself starts from €9 and a combo like that would be €15 and up. I got a cheese burger, and it was pretty amazing. They ask how you want your burger cooked, and you can see the chef cooking all the patties as well as toasting the buns right in the back. I got mine medium, and it was juicy and not too greasy. My only complaint is they might have overdid it on the ketchup on the burger. The fries I got were not as piping hot as I would have liked, but still SO good. After our meal, we had a choice of American coffee (a change of pace from the espresso shots that everyone takes here!) or an espresso. The ambiance is chill, and the decor is pretty trendy. Their logo with the woman in hoop earrings still makes me laugh. If any of you have been to New York's Shake Shack, their ordering system is the same, where they give you an electronic thing that vibrates once your order is ready. It was refreshing to have a solid American meal, and I would definitely be coming back to Mama Burger soon!
