I wouldn't wish this place on my worse enemy. It's not located in the best area (right across from Norristown Middle School) and as a result, you must be buzzed into the salon. From the moment you enter, you are surrounded by various negative signs such as "Do not take up a chair if you are not waiting for a service: No loitering" and "We reserve the right to refuse service to ANYONE." Against my better judgment I decided to take a seat (I used to come here when I was much younger) once I told them I wanted some false eyelashes. I waited for about 15 minutes and watched 2 other women leave since they were not being helped. As I waited, I noticed that there were various first aid items on display in the main counter including a first aid kit, band-aids, as well as various nail polishes past their prime (they were two seperate colors since the color and other ingredients had seperated from one another). As I got up to leave, one of the technicians demanded to know why I was leaving and that it was a 15 minute wait (after I had already waited about 20-25). I told her so, and she told me to come back later. When I told her no, she asked why. She got extremely snippy with me because I didn't want to wait any longer and as a result, I will never return. read more

Regardless of the other reviews I love this place. They're friendly and so are their patrons. I'm adding this now that I'm home. I wanna say that the so called Norristown type people some speak of is a complete fallacy. I met the sweetest woman in there who insisted she pay for me to have the gel paint as well as a tip. So to anyone who bad mouths the salon or there patrons must have been at the wrong place or you're just a complete idiot. I went to this salon about 3 weeks ago and received a set of lashes that were really cute. fast forward to yesterday I called the salon before traveling 30 mins, if I would be able to have my lashes removed and redone. I got to the shop at 4 it was pretty busy so I waited about 30 mins and asked if I would be started and finished by 5 due to me having another appointment at 5:30 in philly. She assures me I will be done in time and hands me a cotton swab with some oil on it so I start to what I thought was loosen them up for my lash tech to remove them and start fresh. I do this for about 15 mins when the lash girl who was now painting toes asks me if I was finish taking them off. I decided I was keep trying to take them off while driving to my app so I went back in just to get the oil or whatever to loosen them and she ignored me...... so I left with one side completely bald and not a sorry for the inconvenience or anything and I still can not remove them and my eyes are swollen and red. They should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!!!! especially TINA bad entitled attitude! read more

Both of these reviews are incorrect. The women that run this place are hard-working, lovely women who came to America to find a new life and get away from the horrid conditions of Vietnam - and they have - they work (6) days a week to help raise their families with out the help of the system, to put their children through college and to be good parents. They deal with a lot of people who lack tact and good manners so they are forced as business owners to post notices of the EXPECTED BEHAVIOR and to provide PAYING customers a chair to wait for service. They are a family -friendly business which is ideal for many single mamas that have to bring their children along to try and do something to pamper themselves - after all, being a single mom is a tough 24/7 job and we ALL need to be pampered sometime. They are allow outside companies to vend and offer their services to provide a nice "extra something" special for their clients and to support small businesses in the area. They have recently upgraded their tables/chairs/pedicure stations to help the shop look more modern and cozy. Their hand-made floral arrangements add a touch of culture and ambiance to the atmosphere. Their prices are far lower than competitors and their skill is far better - I have lived in Philly (a true Philly girl at heart here) and Norristown and I have tried many shops - their customer service and their kindness makes it a no-brainer for me. They service little "Divas in Training" (lol) and accommodate parties of little sweethearts to get their nails painted and a mini-pedi just right for young ladies who need to be taught that you care for your appearance, hygiene and spirit! We truly lead by example when it comes to our children. I have had my affluent friends come along and THEY FEEL IN LOVE WITH THE SHOP! Not to mention - on the same block are Jamaican, Chinese, and American take-out restaurants which offer a smorgasbord of delicious entrees for every tastebud! Simply put your name in and ask how long til your turn and breeze through the neighborhood, which is honestly way safer than most Philly streets, and you can get a bite to eat while you wait! Place is full of ghetto idiots, loud, obnoxious, typical Norristown types. Corner greasy spoon chinese store down the street and across from that another low budget greasy spoon so you can tell what types of ppl come here. Quality of work is horrible, had one of the worse american manicures EVER. White line crooked, I told her but she really didn't care. I love this salon... they are the nicest, most professional salon in the Norristown area. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with smiling, friendly and professional women and men that service you with hospitality and genuine friendliness. They accommodate your every need from beginning to end. Their services are varied and their skill is impeccable. From acrylic nails, to eyebrow waxing, to spa pedicures, to fake eyelashes they do it all with grace, style and skill. The neighborhood has a lot to offer too. It's not far from public transportation as there's the 90 bus right outside the door and down two blocks is the Elm Street station for the R6 train line. So it's completely accessible to anyone. First time here horrible got my eyebrows done the girl just left me in the chair didn't say I was done he or not did not even show me how my eyebrows looked. She told a lady basically she need go where she went to take her eyelashes off and then u can come back and I'll do them so rude. The guy that painted my nails I asked for lotion he said u can put it on, I guess cuz I only got a polish changed but this will be my first and last time coming here. Did not feel welcomed . I went to the place for years. ALWAYS had a great experience. It may not be in the best part of town, but they take precautions so that you don't have to worry. The fact that there are first aid items sitting out isn't an indication of error, rather that they are up to code! They have plenty of colors to chose from, and you can call ahead to reserve an appointment. I've had no problems at this place and would recommend it. read more
