I currently reside here and things are constantly changing. Normandy has implemented a new parking policy which is unreasonable to say the least. When the pandemic hit and many people were working from home if at all we had issues with parking being available to those that actually reside here (meaning on the lease) so I understand why something had to be done. However I do not agree with the terms they came up with. As tenants we are not to have any guests parking between 8pm to 8am or their vehicle is subject to being towed. They offer a $10 nightly parking passes but those can only be purchased between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday thru Friday even though the Property Manager is in the office until 6pm (the office is now closed on the weekends). My issue is, I have a young daughter and if any emergency pops up, according to this new policy she can't come here without the fear of her vehicle being towed on top of what her issue is. The office staff have no remorse and they seem to not care at all, when trying to have a conversation with them about anything they are very rude to say the least. After watching so many cars be towed on a daily basis I feel the parking needs to be changed. I have observed many open spots nightly so we can have an area for visitor parking. There are several options: for one we could have a designated parking area for visitors only, we could also have a machine that sells the parking passes after the office closes and on the weekend, but mainly they could change the hours to something more reasonable. We are all adults in this building and to say that we can't have company for whatever reason past 8pm is absurd, especially when we pay to live here. While they choose to inconvenience everyone with the parking we still have commodities that aren't not available to us in which we paid for like the gym and swimming pool but yet they advertise it. When asked about those things opening back up, I was told they do not have the staff to maintain the cleaning. read more
