Took care of my unit…read more When it came time to move out, which I should have done years prior, the process was handled very unprofessionally, and the staff displayed a level of unprofessionalism and incompetence to a degree I have not known previously. A month to month tenant is only required to give a 30 day notice unlike an yearly tenant which is required to give a 60 day notice. I went into office on a Thursday afterwork to give my 30 day notice to vacate the apartment on Sept. 26, 2025, more than 30 days notice. There was only 1 person in office working that day. She gave a "look". I gave her my 30 notice and asked her if they needed anything in writing. She said no. I thought to myself that that could not be correct. She said they have to do a final walk thru. They did not do a full walk thru. The staff who I was working with, whom I won't mention here, did not retain any information I communicated to her through out the entire process. A level of incompetence I've never dealt with at this complex. When she came to do the walk thru I asked her again if I needed something in writing to vacate and she then hands me a transfer to another apartment within the complex when I shared with her the name of a completely different complex I was moving to several times. I was then handed of the the general manager who was no better. Since nothing being done with this simple transaction. I had to make sure I called the office everyday and visit every other day to stay on top of them to make sure I was in the system to vacate so I would not have to pay for another month. The general manager eventually told me that I did need to fill something out to vacate, which I knew to be the case. I gave my notice 35 days in advance on 25th of Sept. She tells me to sign vacate paperwork on the 8th of Oct. And then on the 22nd of Oct another general manager has me sign real vacate form because the office had no 30 day notices only 60 day notice forms which was also unprofessional. When I filled out the first transfer paperwork on 8th of Oct, I backed dated it to reflect the actual date notice was given. I explained to her that I gave my notice to the other worker on the 25th of September to move out on Oct. 31st. She sent an email to see if I had to pay rent up until the 8th of November. I explained to her again that I more than gave a 30 day notice and that I will not be responsible for paying rent up until Nov. 8th as I was out by the 31st of Oct. I called everyday to make sure that I was out of the system on move out day. I should not have had to go through all of this trouble for something so simple. I didn't receive my security deposit. If the staff who did the walk thru thanked me for taking care of the unit, why was my security deposit not returned. The wear and tear on my apartment was normal and I did request the bath tub and caulking be redone which was not honored. I froze every winter. The windows were the original windows from the 60's when the buildings were built. One year I did ask for new windows and they basically laughed in my face and said that is not how that works. The heater in the apartments are not suitable. 2 weeks before I moved out there was a drive by shooting on my side of the building and they shot up someones car so I knew it was time to go. Like most apartment buildings, the walls are thin and you can hear everything. People play loud music, loud tvs, fight argue and the dogs which are not allowed got out of hand. Kids and young adults love to kick doors and run off. One time someone left their bath water running a few floors up and left for work!?! It started overflowing and leaking into my apartment. Once figured out where the water was coming from early that morning with the help of another neighbor getting if from 3rd shift at Amazon, called maintenance, 911, fire department and no one helped. So if you are desperately looking for somewhere to live, by all means look here at your own risk. Document and picture everything.

Why am I being asked for extra documents when the ones I sent qualified me for a measly $585, when my income allows me to rent a $900 unit. Then I come on yelp to write a review and see horrible pictures it neglected repairs. Thank the Universe for disqualifying me from living in a foundation of luxurious slum.

hi, tom pattison here... i have lived at pine ridge since 2007. my last review was not great this…read moreyear but i have been going through a lot... i am going blind and my mood is down... i worked in media for thirty years and ran properties in my early years... let's face it we are going through tough times.. this pandemic has hurt us all... this place has a new manager. drew. he seems to really care and wants to make things better... samantha is the regional manager and she too seem to care... maintenance in the past years has been great.. so has the office staff... for this past year maintenance was really short handed and struggled... even though things are still bad with the pandemic pine has bounced back and is trying hard with the help of a overall very good staff and a good manager and regional manager... the elevators which is a sour point with me due to my disabilities drew and samantha are really trying to get the service company to stay on top of it... the clientele has changed but most people are still very nice... pine has a nice grounds and is safe. sometimes the dog bark and that drives me crazy.  the front office staff is also very nice always and try and help... drew is even trying to help me find my way due to my blindness... i have called this place home for many years and still do...pine has always been a five star place to me and is close to that still..

The management personal who was supposedly handling this issue dragged their feet. Our apartment as well as many others were never repaired. Now there's an issue with there being hot water! It's absurd considering how many times the water was shut off to fix problems throughout the summer and recent months - 6 "emergency water" shutoff notifications sent out in October for example. Elevators are ALWAYS out of service. 4 elevators, yet only ONE is working in an apartment complex with 20 floors. HOW? Complaints fall on incompetent ears, or management doesn't care because it's not them living with these Issues. I'll be moving out very soon. Save yourselves the trouble and seek out another place to live. A fresh coat of paint is not going to solve the issues with management or this building THREE water shuts off and counting for the month of December so far.

The plan was for me to come back, do some extra cleaning, turn in the keys and turn in a money order. (mind you we lived on almost the 20th floor) On MOVING DAY (April 22nd) the freight elevator broke not once...but TWICE!!! The first time my partner asked them to fix it and they "did" (mind you when they "fixed it" they came and knocked on the door to let him know it was working) and it only worked once then stopped working again... He asked them again to fix it and waited 2 hours till I got home and then I went to the MAIN OFFICE to tell them is was broken and that I needed to get a couch out. (Office was asked a total of THREE TIMES to fix the elevator). When I told them (the leasing lady) she had the nerve to roll her eyes at me and then look at the maintenance man who was in the room and ask if he could do anything and he said he was calling his boss. I left and we waited HOURS, (we tried to be patient) checked on the elevator (still broken), go back to the main office and everyone VANISHED and they did not inform us on when it would be fixed. We had to leave that night to make our deadline to check in on time to the new place down south (2 time zones over) and ended up having to leave a BRAND NEW COUCH that we just bought in January 2021. We BARELY made it with almost 2 days of driving (over 1.6k miles) with 30 minutes to spare. I fly back home and mind you my partner is starting his new job and can't leave the new place plus I have to get my car down there. So NOW I get back (April 29th 2021) and the freight elevator is STILL BROKEN!!! A WHOLE WEEK LATER?!?!?! After I've driven and flown across the U.S. stressing about getting our couch out of this apartment in time so I won't be fined and I still can't get it out. The moving truck we got was already $1.3k NOT including gas and to move this couch where we live now, I can't just take my compact car. I now have to rent ANOTHER TRUCK, a car dolly and pay for movers. The truck to move the couch alone is already $1.5k and the car dolly is $200 ON TOP OF THAT! So this "inconvenience" has brought me up to a total of about almost $1.8k (much more than the cost of breaking the lease) and they think I'm going to pay to break the lease too?! As a company, they should've made sure this didn't happen or someone was at least there to fix it. I go to the leasing office today (April 29th) and the lady tells me the only thing she can do is keep the fines off for things being left in the apartment due to the elevator being broken. I asked when it would be fixed and she said she didn't know ‍ This place is the definition of ratchet and I wouldn't wish this type of treatment on my own worst enemy. I told her I needed to speak with the owner and she refused to give me there information. Crazy right?! I made sure to record the elevator being broken that day and the dog sh*t that someone put a "Caution" sign over but didn't bother to clean up that was tracked throughout the first floor hallway...and plenty of other pictures and videos of how nasty this place is. They are just money hungry and don't care about the people who faithfully pay rent on time. Currently debating on taking legal action and exposing this place for what it truly is...DISGUSTING! UPDATE: THEY HELD MY MEDICINE HOSTAGE…read more Monday 2/8/2021 Marissa and the office stopped answering my phone calls. I tried to contact them regarding a package that was supposed to be delivered to me but was in their possession. The package contained medicine that I needed over the weekend. They held my medicine hostage until after 5PM and did not respond to any of my messages until close to then. 1/25/21: Maintenance came back and tried to fix the fridge/freezer. It stopped working again that night. Electricity to the left side of the apartment including lights and outlets went out round 5PM. I missed an organic chemistry class because the wifi is only able to be hooked up on the left side of the apartment. 1/26/21: Maintenance came and tried to fix the fridge/freezer again as well as facetimed an "electrician" and worked on the electrical box. He said the fridge was now connected to another outlet and if it went out again I needed a new fridge. That night half the apartment's outlets, lights, etc. went out. Marissa told me that I should put my food in the fridge because I had been forced to eat out everyday so far. She said if the fridge/freezer went out again, they would be able to put a new fridge in that night so my food would not go bad. It went out an hour later and Marissa said it wouldn't be available until Thursday at the earliest. 1/27/21: Marissa told me the fridge wouldn't come until Friday. Bedroom, hallway, kitchen and left side power alternated going in and out. The washer/dryer went out. 1/28/21: Maintenance and "electrician" both came over. I told Marissa noone can come in my apartment without two masks on. She said they would wear two masks. The electrician walked up the 3 flights of stairs and came to my door without any mask on, only leaving to put one on after seeing me (I said I would not be there). They worked on the apartment and I stayed on the deck to make sure they wore masks. It got too cold (22 degrees) out and I asked to have Marissa call me when they were done. Marissa called around 10:30AM and said they had fixed everything. I got back to the apartment and more things were out than when I had left (more outlets, the washer/dryer, microwave, oven, lights, etc.) Marissa said they unplugged the A/C. Marissa said she would credit my account for this week's rent. Marissa said that they would try and move me into a new apartment the next day. She said she would stay in contact after 5PM. We sent a text to the number she had been incontact with that the heat went out but received no response. When I got to my apartment the temperature was 42. It then went down below 38 degrees the rest of the night. I had to either sleep in my car or take a chance on the apartment. When I woke up the apartment was at 48 degrees. ...
