I love shopping at Nordstrom Rack. I am a fan of both Penguin and Ben Sherman clothing and they always have a good selection of items. I always seem to walk out with one or two items. And this location was a delight because they seemed to carry items that I had never seen at other Racks. It was like the holy grail of Penguin clothing! Staff is very friendly and helpful and the store is kept up very well. No mounds and mounds of rumpled cloths just thrown around like the other locations I tend to frequent. One major downside, however, is that since this location is in the Orange Outlets, parking can be an absolute nightmare. Do not plan on a quick trip here. Plan for parking time. read more

How did I get so lucky this morning? I walked in to buy a festive tie for Fourth of July and I walked out in under five minutes! Plenty of choices in red ties and even more amazing, there were no lines. There are no lines in the return area and there are no lines at the cashiers. Happy 4th!!! read more

This location does not have much of a selection, but the crowd is way better than most Nordstrom's racks. They almost always have good shoes here. Take the time to look through the racks, many hidden gems. They need way more cashiers here. Not many associates on the floor either. read more

I love to shop at Nordstrom Rack however I wasn't at all impressed with this location. The shoe department was totally lacking. The high-end designer section was super small. The clothing section was okay. The deals were average. I found that the makeup section was unorganized and messy. I don't think I will return to this location. I was at the Outlets of Orange, had a Nordstrom gift card with a small amount left and I figured I could get something with it at Nordstrom Rack. It didn't hurt that triple points for the Nordstrom Rewards program was being offered at that time, either. (You can join the program whether or not you have a Nordstrom credit card. For every 2K spent, a Nordstrom Note of $20 is given). Nordstrom Rack represents a kind of mystery to me. They carry brands that I could swear I have never seen in actual Nordstroms or Nordstrom.com. Abound, OPI and Neutrogena come to mind, amongst others. Of course, they do have the brands Nordstrom is known for, like Vince Camuto, Equipment, Halogen, Pleione, Hudson jeans, and many more. The clearances offer substantial discounts. Even the non clearance items sometimes have deep discounts (Hub's Lucky Jeans were marked from $99 to $39.99). At other Nordstrom Racks, there have been lines for the dressing rooms. I didn't have to wait for one at this location. Also, there was no wait in line once I was ready to purchase clothing. One thing to keep in mind is that the return policy here differs from Nordstrom. You have a 90 day period in which to return, but the tags must be attached to the item. Be sure before you cut off the tag. If I was in the Outlets of Orange and needed clothing or shoes or whatnot, I would come back here to browse around. I wouldn't really expect to find anything, that's often the case with all of these locations, but I might find something. I think it takes some digging and/or luck. I've heard stories of people finding great stuff. The cashier and another staff member were nice. read more

Oh man, what a rough experience. I am so embarrassed for not only your store, your employees, but Nordstrom rack as a brand. I know that this location can get so busy, and guest can be messy and throw things, but come on, store/floor recovery! I have worked many years in retail and I know first hand how hard and frustrating it could be when customers are messy, but it's your job as a store, company, and employee, to make shopping here a pleasure, and enjoyable. This shopping experience was anything but that. Customers are more likely to not come back in when your store looks like this, looking for something becomes impossible and just a burden. This is not our local Nordstrom Rack (thank goodness), but we were in the area and decided to do some back to school shopping at this location. I usually drop a couple hundred easily at the rack on back to school shopping, I spent barely over $100 here. Couldn't find anything, hardly any Nike Men's tshirts or shorts. The other locations have tons of styles and colors. We finally found a few items and went to check out, was not greeted at all by our cashier Randy, he wasn't friendly whatsoever and just handed our bags to us. No thank you or nothing. I won't ever shop at this location again. If you want slim selection and crappy customer service go here! I'll stick to our usual location for all my nordy rack needs. read more

Just called the store, I listened to the recording as to what time they closed before I proceeded to get in touch with an associate it says they closed at 9pm so I chose to speak to the operator it rang about 10 times and then someone picked up and hung up. I called back and someone answered and said they were closed extremely rudely. I said then you need to change the recorded message to say you close at 8pm not 9pm she proceeded to tell me that the website says 9pm. I didn't check the website I called instead to find out if you were open and it said you were. I said ok thank you as she slammed the phone down and I can hear her telling someone that I was arguing... And that's all I got but I wasn't arguing I was making a point to her that Nordstrom needs to change it to reflect the correct information! read more

Grand opening was yesterday March 1, 2012 and I stopped by shortly after 8PM thinking the crowd would have died down, but since it was at maximum capacity, employees were letting one in one out. It's located in what used to be a parking lot. I've seen it go from mere nothing to what you see now. It's close to Alcatraz and behind TGIF. When you enter the formerly known as The Block and current known as the Outlets of Orange, you can find parking by Alcatraz restaurant or around TGIF. You can see this NR right from the main street. The cool thing that I noticed was that they had employees in green shirts who had mobile cashier stations. They are all around and definitely helped with the crowd and for paying for your things. I'm not sure if this is a permanent thing because I'm sure it will be a lot slower in the months to come. They have two entrances, one is closer to the jewelery and men section, while the side entrance, is closest to the cashiers and baby/kids section. My observation is that Nordstrom Rack SCP has more designer bags, but this location has a great selection of jeans. Basically, it's like looking for treasure. It's hit or miss. They have employees constantly cleaning up and everything was organized. I also liked the fact that all the shoes were already in shoeboxes, so that eliminates the hassle of going to the window to find the other pair. They have a good selection of Stila, Philosophy, and Napoleon Perdis products, as well as Burt Bee's. When I first entered, I was a bit overwhelmed, maybe because it was so crowded, but I'm glad there's a Nordstrom Rack closer to me and a welcome addition to the now new and improved Outlets of Orange. read more

Men's and Children's Clothing I am a regular of Nordstrom Rack in South Coast. I have been to many locations. This one is AOK, but probably my least favorite. #1 Parking at the block sucks and as they expand it sucks even more. #2 The store did not have deals like South Coast and did not seem to have as good of a selection. #3 The people in the green shirts were announced to be able to ring up your purchase, but seemed to walk away the two times we approached them. #4 The attendants in the dressing room were superb and had something altered for my little one for free!!!! wow. Took about 10 minutes. AOK, but I prefer South Coast. read more

I've never shopped inside a Nordstrom Rack, thinking it would not be affordable. I was wrong =) I was able to purchase a nice men's button-down shirt for less than $40. Original price was twice as much. Yay! I needed to get clothing as a last-minute birthday gift, and decided to stop by here before heading to American Eagle or whatever store would catch my eye at the Outlets. I was surprised to look around and realize it looked like a Marshall's or TJ Maxx.. only more organized. There were clothing, and also bags and accessories, and make-up. And even hair products. The only thing missing were probably kitchen items and home decor. Or maybe I did not look hard enough. Everything seemed to be in the right place. Men's shirts were classified under sizes, and they were all in the appropriate racks. I would hate to peruse through a rack, find a piece of clothing I wanted that would say SMALL on the hanger or rack, then realize the tag itself would say LARGE. Which happens at Ross Dress for Less. Maybe it was a weekday afternoon, but the shop was pretty quiet. There were 4 open cashiers, and I was rung up quickly by a friendly female cashier. They ask for your email to send the receipt there, but they still give you a shorter printed receipt. Why the 3 stars? Because not one piece of female clothing made me stop in my tracks and look. Maybe that's a good thing. I wouldn't want a distraction, or worse, end up walking out of the store with more things for myself. read more

Customer service SUCKS at this store!!!! Nordstroms Rack made an announcement over their PA system that employees with green shirts can check you out, so that you don't need to wait in line to pay for your purchase. When I asked an employee who was wearing a green shirt to help me with my purchase, she stated, "I am not suppose to be working." She was working on the sales floor putting items back. Nordstroms Rack, I am reporting you to the Department of Labor for letting your employees work off the clock. PS - Take off your green shirts. read more

We normally go to the Nordstrom Rack at Metro Pointe and this was completely different. They did not have higher designer brands, especially for shoes. Located at The Outlets At Orange (I will never get used to that name, I still refer to it as The Block Of Orange), facing towards Krispy Kreme. My husband and I came by here about 2 weeks ago on a Friday evening with our 2 dogs. Yes with our 2 dogs. I recently found out that all Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom Rack stores allow you to shop with you dog (on a leash, as long as your dog is well behaved) and now I want to bring my sweet little girl dog with me every time I shop. Anyways, this location had some good name brands, but didn't see too many high end designer names though unfortunately. But after shopping at so many Nordstrom Rack locations, I have learned that you need to shop over several visits to find some really good deals. The employee I did interact with on this visit was very nice. She took care of my return easy and efficiently. She was friendly and we made small talk. Hey, who doesn't like a bargain? When you need to get some nice outfits, but your wallet is feeling a little light for going to Nordstrom, then the Rack is the place for you. Tons of clothes, shoes, accessories, shoes, beauty products, shoes... Did I mention they have shoes? I like shoes. I prefer not to pay a small fortune to keep myself in different colors and styles. And Nordstrom Rack is my go to place. This location at the Outlets at Orange (formerly known as the Block), is a fairly new store, and is a pretty good size. Some of the older Rack stores were kind of small, and they tended to jam too much merchandise into them. This location could benefit with a little more merchandise spacing, but overall, I like it. Absolutely horrible company. I bought a cute Valentines Day sweater with harts on it for my wife. After I purchased it on January 31st, they said that it would be shipping out on February 1st. Bold faced lie. It never shipped because they sold out. It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry rented a car but they didn't have it for him when he showed up. Bingo. They know how to sell the sweater, but they don't know how to stock or send the sweater to the customer. Then I got nothing but a run around from customer service...I'm so sorry sir...yada yada yada...They could care less. But they did eventually refund my money. Mighty gracious of them. Even with the hustle and bustle of holiday shoppers, this store was clean and well organized. I always find the cutest shoes at the Rack. I scored on some BCBG heals and sperry boat shoes! woohoo! (i love boat shoes) They also have cute dresses! I didn't explore the other departments since we had other stores to hit but Nordstrom rack never disappoints (when it comes to shoes) They always have my size! Seems like this person is miserable with his job and was annoyed that I was asking questions on a slightly damaged item that I was about to purchase. All my questions were answered by a simple annoyed "no" and even so, I bought the item and did not even say "thank you for shipping at Nordstrom" nope, all he said was "'no, no,no, rang up my item and gave it to me. I came in to do a return with no receipt and she found the order very quick with nice conversation as well. I also asked if an item was in stock at the store and she looked and printed out a paper with the details to look online since it was sold out. I'm not a frequent Nordstrom Rack shopper, as I'm not so concerned by name brands... but decided to pop in here to check out the new location. Some great finds on the clearance racks. A range of sizes, too! Ranging from XS to XL, with a multitude of items in all sizes. Score! Great denim selection - Paige, Hudson, Sevens, and probably more - at considerably more affordable costs than a traditional department store. Cute summer wear - lots of shorts, tank tops and spaghetti strap t's. I fell in love with the handbag selection... definitely have my eye on a few winners, if only I could justify their additions to my collection ;-) Hubby thoroughly enjoyed the men's section, too. Good assortment of wallets and he loved the shoes, particularly a pair of Lacoste trainers for around $70 (versus the normal $120 or something like that). As Nick H. mentioned - parking is a bit of a bear. I despise parking at the Block... I spend more time driving around in circles, trying to trail someone for a spot, then I actually do inside the center. I hate parking structures... but they really need one! read more

I was told by 2 separate floor associates and the check-out register associate that they would honor the price match from their own Nordstrom Rack website. When the sales associate rang up the shoes, he had to ask the supervisor to match the price. The supervisor said he couldn't honor the price because of the shoes not being in stock on-line. Despite my total disappointment, I bought the shoes anyway since they don't seem to exist in any of the Racks I've visited. I wish they would train their staff better about the price matching policy. It's kind of like Ross but with higher end stuff and slightly better organization (slightly). There's A LOT crammed into this store, so come with patience and time. I've been in here a few times and I wasn't prepared to handle the sheer volume of inventory here. If you enjoy shopping and looking for bargains and finding that one thing you didn't know you needed/wanted, then you're going to love it here. I hate shopping so I'm not the right person to reference, so I'll say what I can say that's positive. Immense inventory. Fairly well organized. Small men's section (smaller than usual). I came in and was helped by Maria Cristina L. let me start off by saying she has absolutely no customer service I waited there for 10 min before she decided to acknowledge me after she did she decided to give attitude she asked me for my order number because I was making a return as I'm giving it to her she decides to turn around and talk to her co worker about a bag that was there she leaves me with the words in my mouth then comes back and ask for it again with attitude. She's opening my package and slamming the box and item around. I ask her for a receipt and she decides to raise her voice and say "it's printing" this was such a horrible experience I make my purchases and returns here all the time but after today I will no longer be coming to this store. Looking for a great deal, this is a good place to check out. Just keep in mind they actually have a return policy compared to the actual Nordstrom stores. It's 45 days and sometimes extend it to 60 days if they want to. Unfortunately, I had a purchase I made on some pants that did not fit and needed to exchange them and was denied due to being at 70 days. Atleast the employees that work their stick to their guns on a policy, but kind of a shame there is no flexibility with that. read more

Customer service is pleasant and what's not to love about paying for your merchandise w/o having to stand in line (love those ppl in the green shirts). But this NR has yielded two treasures for me! I have love for all Nordstrom Racks, and I am fortunate that my new residence (CA) has more locations than the rest of the US combined. For my husband and our credit cards, not so lucky... The prices are fair compaired to buying retail, if you browse all the racks, I am a sucker for the clearance and designer show clearance you can get great deals, I usually set myself a limit to only get things under $100 a piece and you can actually find alot of high end designers within the budget, love it! The lines are always a bit long but they move along fast and now they have the new check out where all store workers can ring you up without having to get in line! As if this store couldn't be any more disappointing... they LACK GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! I'm sorry but this specific employee was beyond rude to me today just because I asked her if I can get checked out since she was finished with her guest and I was waiting next to my sister who was paying for her stuff. EMPLOYEE JESSICA RUDELY TOLD ME IF I WAS NEXT IN LINE AND I SAID YES AND SHE POINTS TOWARDS THE MAN BEING ME AND SAID NO YOUR NOT YOUR WITH HER SO YOUR NOT NEXT. I cannot explain how disappointed I was with her response and her tone of voice while she was saying it as well. Mind you I had only one item in my hand so I didn't think I would be taking up much time and I was just the same ass the person she was pointing to .. a paying customer... I also talked to the manager in about the situation it was a man .. chubby guy with dirty blonde hair and he honestly didn't even care to what I had to say or how I even felt with JESSICA being that rude from the getgo with me.
