The store is organized and clean with shoes stored in the boxes on the shelves vs. the floor and clothing racks properly identified by size and items were hung in the right place. The shoe area had "clearance" signs displayed but they were misplaced. The shoes between these signs were not marked down. They had a very small section of size 4 and 4.5 shoes but I've become accustomed to this because, really, who has such tiny feet besides me? They had a big selection of men's shoes in large sizes. I didn't see any store associates around so I presume the store must stay organized because the shoppers at this location don't ransack the place. This Dublin store is really clean, and neatly organized. So many clothing stores have a grody feel, or have clothes all over the floor. Not Nordstrom Rack! I was really impressed by the selection. There are some really cheap, affordable things (I got a summery dress for under $10), and high-scale designer things imported from Europe ($150 shoes made from Italian leather and imported from Italy). Nordstrom Rack caters to every budget range, and I found some exceptionally good deals here for myself. I would advise people to be careful about sizes, however. I shopped from three different size brackets and clothing from each section fit and didn't fit. Some brands run large, some run small, and my advice would be to just ignore whatever it says on the tag and just do the eyeball test--if it looks like it will fit, try it on. I love Nordstrom Rack!!!! I would say 95% of the time, I get amazing customer service. One time, I had a really big return, and instead of waiting in line, two workers tagged team to help make my return faster. They did not make me feel bad at all for making such a big return either. There were only a couple of times, where I felt that the customer service was sub-par, but everyone gets a bad day. Overall, the store is pretty clean, and I love their merchandise. I especially love browsing when it comes time for clear the rack sales. Also, their fitting rooms are great. They let you bring in quite a few items at at time, and they were very accommodating when I had a stroller and made me feel comfortable and gave me a big room. Last night I got the best customer service of my entire life from Miguel and Cynthia. Seriously they were incredible. Admittedly I never went to Nordstrom Rack before as I get anxiety having to fish through racks on racks of clothing to find what I need. This store however had a great selection - I ended up trying on at least 50 items and kept 30 (yeah I needed new clothes BADLY). I started shopping at 7, not realizing how long it would take me to find clothes that would fit me, as I haven't gone shopping in over a year. I ended up leaving the store at 10 pm - yup, an hour after closing. This is because the wonderful employees stayed late and bent over backwards to help me get set up on a Nordstrom debit card so I could collect points - with their help, I ended up walking out with almost 30 items AND an $80 Nordstrom note. It was seriously so kind and selfless of them to take care of me like that, they called Nordstrom customer service multiple times on my behalf to get me all set up so I would get the maximum points. I couldn't have been happier leaving the store. Thank you so much for taking my usual anxiety out of my shopping experience! read more

I do most of my shopping for myself and my family at Nordstrom and Nordstrom rack online. With Nordstroms being closed at the mall, I don't have an option but to return here since it's close. Warning, set aside at least 30 min for purchases or returns. Whether they are fully staffed with cashiers at each register or not, they are poorly managed and inefficient. They usually designate one register for pick up and returns and ~5 for purchases. Today's experience isn't any different than my others. I had 28 min before picking up my kids from school and there were only 4 people in the return line, yay! .....in that 28 minutes, the cashier only helped 2 people and was sorting through a pile of clothes before she could help the next. I didn't have a choice but to leave since I had to get my kids, but left annoyed that I need to go back another day and waste another 30 min for a return. There was at least 8 people behind me when I left, which shows the line is getting longer. I know I can return online, but it can take a month to get processed. Please train your staff better. On busy days, designate 1.5 registers for returns (1 just for returns, another to help with purchases and returns) if you see the line is long. At least show customers that you acknowledge they are waiting. read more

I love Nordstrom and I like Nordstrom Rack well enough however, this location is in need of better management! The checkout lines are always long... There are no associates minding the special checkout kiosks either. The clothing racks are so so disorganized that it boggles the mind! I used to go to the one in San Leandro and that one was a great place to go shopping... Probably some of the slowest cashiers, lines are almost always 15 minute wait. I've been to the store 3 times in the past week to buy/return and it's been excruciating. Staff just seem to be standing and looking around, not actively trying to help bring the line length down. Usually at least 3 registers unmanned. It would be nice if there were more of the fast checkout areas that actually had employees manning the stations, and bonus if they accepted reruns there! read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever received. I came to the store today and I wanted to do a return on some shoes my friend had bought for me. We are both employees at Nord ourselves, normally I would take it back to our store to do a return but I was shopping at the rack and though I would just do it there. I walk up letting her know I had a return and she said do you have a receipt I told her no I don't my friend bought them but I have her name, her email address and phone number to look her up, it even had the return label on the box. For some reason they weren't able to find the purchase so they refused to return it. On top of that I believe the manager walked up and said oh you work with Nordstrom, I definitely need the receipt pretty much accusing me of theft when I saw my friend purchase the shoes at our store. Anyway we ended up finding the receipt and was able to return the item at the original store. I don't appreciate all the attitude at this location, and you should never have customers or employees feel uncomfortable returning an item! read more

I was trying to return some items I purchased online and before the teller or cashier can process the return I let her know that one of the item was a gift so I wanted to have the credit back in the form of a gift card/store credit. The teller told me that Nordstrom Rack does not do that and any purchase should be put back to its original form of payment. I was astonished with her reply. I believe that as a store employee you should never refused to process a return item in the form of a store or gift card especially if the original invoice is presented to the teller. When I got home I was checking the return invoice and I noticed that part of the original payment was paid using a gift card and the teller failed to issue a gift card to me. I called the HauteLook.com number on the invoice and asked for the gift card to be mailed out to me but the representative told me to call the store directly. I also found out from her the return policy and she advised me to ask for the store manager when I call so I can explain what happened. My experience with this teller only proves her professional incompetence and lacking the customer service skills a Nordstrom employee should always have. HORRIBLE !!! Came here purchased a MK purse. Took it home tried all my things inside. Didn't like how it looked. Took it back less than a week later with my receipt. Paid cash arrived their to have an older fat black lady cashier take my return asked me for my id. I said why if I have my receipt and didn't want to give it to her I asked to speak to a manager. I've been here a few times and the most recent was yesterday. I couldn't find anything I liked really and the store is such a mess. The racks are overflowing and worse than most thrift shops or other discount stores I shop at. I won't be coming back. I went to Burlington right after and found a bunch of stuff for a lot cheaper. I'm not into brand named stuff for clothing, I just want it made well and fit nicely and I find that shopping at other places. No reason to come back to this overpriced mess. I will say they had a somewhat better selection of shoes but the shoe aisles are a mess too and most are priced higher than I'd like to pay but the selection is a little better but not worth my time. read more

Will never shop here again! Needed to pick up a quick gift for a surprise b-day party for my great niece tomorrow. So I stopped in today after getting a massage at Hand and Stone next door. Walked in the door and saw a security guard at the door and some cute watches to the left as I entered. Thought it would be a great gift for her. Couldn't remember if pink or purple was her favorite color so I called my niece to find out. When she didn't pick up I called my sister (at 6:39pm). While I'm talking to her I saw a pair of earrings I thought would work for me. Then I noticed I was being profiled. When my sister couldn't remember my great niece's favorite color. I thought I'd try calling my niece again and this time she picked up (6:42p). While I'm standing there trying to decide on which one to purchase along with the earrings I found, the security guard comes over and begins following my every move! Even though he clearly overheard my conversation because he was that close. Mind you this was a quick 31 sec. call to make sure I purchased the right color. So when I finished the call I let the guard know that I knew what he was doing and that I knew he thought I was stealing. He responded "no I didn't. I responded yes you did! Then he says "I'm just doing my job!" Really! I didn't see him treating any other guest the way I was being treated! I was clearly profiled! A black woman, in a relaxed state after a massage, guilty of shopping while black in a predominantly white neighborhood! I admit my hair wasn't as well put together and most of my make up was off after my massage. But I didn't look like a thief! Just a black women trying to pick up a quick gift! In fact I'm a professional business owner, home owner, licensed - ordained minister and Evangelist with strong ties to my community! I purchased the items (receipt time stamped at 6:46p) so I was in the store no more than 11 - 12 mins. and he determined within less than 2 mins. that I was a thief! Even after purchasing the items and on my way out of the store this guy gives me the most dirtiest look as if to say don't come back! I was going to let it go but after talking to my sister and giving it some thought on the drive home I decided not to let this injustice go! So I stopped at Macys and picked up the perfect gift with no issues! Total opposite response! So yes I will go back to Nordstrom's Dublin one more time to return my purchases and will never go back! I shop other Nordstrom Rack and their retail store locations as well as Bloomingdale stores and I have never been treated like this at any other location or any other much higher end store. One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch! Definitely the first and last time shopping this location! Proper training is essential! My purse cost more than this guy makes in a month. Train your people! I drove quite far to visit the rack & all was well until we got to the registers. The guy didn't say Hi, nothing! Just stared at me until I realized it was my turn. When I went up there I got another blank stare so I myself said Hi. He mumbles hi. I set a reusable bag on the counter. He threw all of our stuff on the bag & next to the bag but nothing in the bag! My daughter and I after paying, folded the clothes, placed the shoes and pants in the bag while he just stood there. If Anthony doesn't like customer service then find a different job! I just spoke to the store manager. They need to work on their staff. I had 9 people behind me today. There were 3 registers open. None of the staff appeared to care at all, moved VERY slow taking returns, making tags as 9 people wait in line. Once they completed the transaction, they would make tags, hang up clothes, chat with one another before helping the next customer. It was ridiculous. I'm so sad. Nordstrom Rack used to be my go-to spot, but my visit today compelled me to write my first yelp review in ages. What. A. Disaster. Both physically, and as far as management and staffing. Pros: - I found 3 things I liked and wanted to purchase. Cons: -Nothing is organized correctly by size. -Super shady clientele, including a man without a shirt on. -The chip on my card wasn't cooperating. It's been like this for a week now. Everywhere I go, the machine has me insert the chip three times and then will allow me to swipe it. So, once the machine tells me to swipe while checking out at the Rack, I begin to swipe only to be reprimanded by the gal working there who says that they don't allow swiping if your card has a chip. The machine was literally prompting me, "you may now swipe!" I had my ID and offered that. I asked to speak to the manager who didn't seem sold on the policy herself, but continued to insist that I wasn't allowed to swipe MY OWN DEBIT CARD! To add to my annoyance, she glances at my wallet and sees a Nordstrom card and suggests I use that. So unprofessional, and makes me feel like I'm trying to get one over on them. In the end, I had to walk away from my items. Nordy's... you gotta get ahold on your Rack locations. For a company built on excellent customer service, this is not cool. read more

I used to love this place as they had the clothes as well as the alteration facility. They have stopped alteration and expect customers to go to either the stoneridge mall nordstrom or to San Leandro. This is ridiculous. Here's a bright idea: instead of leaving all the makeup out for people to pick through, how about the management of this Nordstrom rack sets out a tester palette or whatever? Oh no, that would make way too much sense. The unsanitary makeup being sold at this particular location would give the Department of Health an aneurysm. Palettes, lipsticks, whatever... Don't buy makeup here. It just is not worth it. Makeup goes on your FACE. You kiss your kids with lipstick on, so why even take the risk? I opened up a lip palette (to check it, since my inner cootie freak alarms were going off) and there were not just fingerprints. Oh no. It was like someone took their finger and SCOOPED out some lipstick out of all the pans, didn't buy it, and then freaking put it back. Um... The way a kid would secretly lick frosting from a cake. BARF. The makeup just turns me off of Nordstrom Rack. I'd rather pay full price and not get herpes or something icky. If for whatever strange reason I decide to shop here again, I'd better not find 20 boxes of half-used Bobbi Brown palettes or the Department of Health will be getting a call. I have no idea how in the world this is legal, because I can't imagine the management throwing away these contaminated palettes. Absolutely unacceptable and completely disgusting. Just lock up the palettes until someone wants to buy one and let people try the one tester. read more

Great store for clothes. Music is played too loud and isn't pleasant, songs that are over played. It was to the point that it impacted my customer experience- All I wanted to do was leave the store. One must feel harmony when taking time to sift through clothes and if the background music is too loud and annoying, all one wants to do is leave the store. I'd suggest to lower the volume and pick something more mellow. Someone I came to the store with asked a Sales person if the colume cd be lowered, never was lowered. This Nordstrom Rack looks and feels like the other Nordstrom Rack. Nothing that stands out. The only difference is that they have labeled the high end labels' sections separately mimicking like the regular Nordstrom store. Good thought in the placement of multiple cash registers in every posts and the main register. I found the inventory to be similar as the other stores. Security was tight in front and they do random checks. During the first week, they gave out coupons at the cash register. Parking was horrendous and tight because of the Whole Foods pre-opening extravaganza. Obey the traffic rules when you get in and get out of the plaza or else... read more

I don't write reviews typically. I read them but don't write them except for today. Today my experience with the cashier named Danny I felt needed to be heard. I had a return with several items and she was happy, cheerful, personable and professional- not what I expected honestly- especially not to this degree. I returned items from 2 different shopping outings- one outing had a receipt but some items would not scan (same at purchasing time w/Miguel the cashier- great attitude) and the other outing- no receipt. I tried 3 different cards (2 from Nordstrom & 1 ATM) -no luck! She showed zero signs of irritation & was really trying to locate the receipt in the computer. Finally located - it was a gift card. Totally forgot. Returned those items and then I wanted to pay the bill, (yep I know nightmare customer) but I haven't received one yet in the mail. She said I could call & find out- seriously???? Amazing. She isn't trying to get rid of me yet?! She got the total but the returns weren't adjusted on the bill yet. She asks if I need a calculator as she sets it on the counter!! I get the receipts did some math and got the correct total to pay the bill. All with a small, friendly conversation & professional!!!! I mean incredible!! She probably thought she was some prankster show with all the transactions and problems I presented. She took every challenge I had cheerfully. She must be a really happy person. She went above and beyond more any cashier (and I mean literally any) that I have ever had! (I have a child 25yr old so I've had lots of cashiers in my time). She is an Amazing employee and Nordstrom is lucky to have her!!! Somebody is going to steal her away- she is a model employee! Seriously. I cannot describe the situation accurately with words but multiply by 100 the nightmare customer I was (I'm nice though) and how friendly and professional she was and you'll kind of get the idea! Awesome Nordstrom rack location. Clean, well organized and lots of friendly help around if you need anything. They've got a standard line and then a bunch of spots scattered throughout the store if you need just a simple purchase transaction with a credit or debit card (no cash and no returns/exchanges). The selection always seems to be a wide variety. Great selection of designer jeans and kids shoes. I like that the fitting rooms, even at full capacity, seem to move very fast. The staff at the registers are always really awesome and happy too. They never get annoyed, even if you are making a return or an exchange, which sometimes can happen at other stores. I hope they maintain this store and stay consistent, as it's a great addition to persimmon shopping center! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! read more

When this store first opened it was clean and well organized. That is no longer the case. The management of this store should be embarrassed and ashamed of the state of this store. My most recent visit was on a Tuesday night a few weeks after the holidays. There were clothes all over the floor. About a third of the clothing on the racks in the Plus Size section did not belong in that section. This is not something that could have happened that day, but over weeks or months. And, I don't believe that it's just customers putting the clothing on the wrong racks, but uninspired employees not wanting to take the time to find the correct racks to place the items. As I walked through the store I found myself picking up clothing to avoid stepping on them. Imagine my dismay at finding a beautiful black Calvin Klein dress coat with footprints on it. The store was hot, the checkout line was long, and I reminded my daughter these reasons were why I didn't want to go there in the first place. read more
