The room last time we stayed was getting a little bit tired (ageing and cleaning). This time, our room has been painted quite recently, a different cleaning standard and is very adequate for us. The resort only has queen beds available in the 1 bedroom units so we chose a studio this time simply because they come with king beds (that can be split into singles) so we can sleep more comfortably... And that is why we are here... To sleep and rest. Fitted with a small (but functional and complete) kitchenette rather than a full sized kitchen in the 1 bedroom, if we felt the urge to cook, we can certainly make do. The huge lagoon style pools & multiple spas set throughout the tropical setting is really nice. I'd give the resort and the surrounds 4 stars, because that is what it deserves... but the location adds the 5th star. Directly across the road to the beach, surf break, patrolled beach, cafe (and beer) it's perfect for us. It's also under 1.5km to all the restaurants and cafés in Mooloolabah, meaning a good walk each way from dinner if that's what we choose to do. We've stayed here twice, once in a one bedroom queen apartment and on the latest occasion in a studio king. Both times our impression has been that the rooms are clean & comfortable and perfect for a budget style holiday. The one bedroom we had could have done with a bit of a fix up (was a bit tired looking) but we were very happy with the studio and though maybe it had been given a luck of paint recently. The perks of self contained mean that you get a mini laundry for the sandy towels (great if you are traveling with young kids too). A well stocked kitchenette gives you options if you feel the need to cook, with pans, a kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery plus you get a dishwasher, fridge, microwave and a stovetop. I was just happy to see wine glasses & separate champagne glasses in the cupboard. Now that's what I called stocked for a holiday. The location is perfect being just across the road from the beach and the Alex Head surf club. It is a pleasant walk over the hill to Mooloolaba for a plethora of dining options and there is no shortage of activities in this part of the coast to keep you occupied. Just down the road is a pub with a bottle shop attached so if you forget the bubbles for those champagne glasses you don't have to go too far to stock up! Whilst I think this place is perfect for families, as a couple we didn't feel out of place on a mid winter weekend getaway or a week long holiday in the summer months. I'd definitely recommend this resort to people and I'm sure we'll be back again some time soon.

I was impressed to find a microwave, toaster and crockery/cutlery, in addition to the standard bar fridge and tea/coffee facilities. For 4-star accommodation I expected nicer linen; the towels were of average quality and rough and the sheets were in good condition but thin. I liked the mounted squeeze bottles of shampoo and body wash, and hand wash in the bathroom. The water pressure - particularly coming from Brisbane - was divine! The property has a pool and spa, which we unfortunately didn't have time to try. It is situated at the front of the property and while nicely maintained, there is no shade or privacy, which detracts from the appeal. Overall I was happy with our stay, but the overall ambiance of the place could do with some work. I would probably consider this place again for a short-stay, but if I were taking a longer holiday I would want to stay somewhere a bit more lush.

The accommodation is more like a hotel than a motel - new furniture, furnishings and finishes - with the added bonus of crockery & cutlery. The room is spacious, modern, immaculately clean. The bed is comfortable and firm and the hosts are lovely. Across the road from Lake Weyba, the Anchor Motel makes for very affordable and comfortable Noosa accommodation.

There is no door between the bathroom and the bedroom. My bride and I love each other but there are some things we simply do not like to "share". Perhaps our room was a one-of-a-kind. We were given a mattress and we put it between the two couches with the middle bit on the coffee table - he now has curvature of the spine but that's OK cos we saved about $1500 by denying him his own room. The owners are always on site and they are happy and helpful. Very reasonable rates - for Noosa that is, we could have bought a house in Tassie for the same money, but the kids were happy and we just love Noosa. Highly recommended.

It was a five…read moreminute walk to the Noosa International Food and Wine Festival, and to top it off it had free wifi. Check-in is 2pm and we arrived about 11.30am. The managers were very accommodating and were able to give us access to our room which was a deluxe two-bedroom apartment featuring a fully equipped kitchen (only the kettle was used for tea and fridge for milk). A piece of coded paper was given to us for each of our wireless devices (android phone, iPhone, iPad etc). There were numerous flights of stairs which weren't a problem for us, however, it would not suit an elderly person or one with a disability. They probably have street level accommodation in this instance but I didn't ask. As we were staying just 3 nights there is no mid-stay housekeeping and you have to be there for more than 7 nights if you want that. I did miss not having my bed made, pillow fluffed and cover folded down. Check out is 10am and as we were spending the final day in Noosa and needed the carpark for my sister who lives locally we asked management who kindly allowed us to keep the park for that day. Our suitcases were placed in secure storage and I was given the key to access, and told to leave the key in their safe deposit box as the office would be closed. The location to the festival was handy and to the many shops along Hastings Street and of course the beach (Main Beach). Saks on Hastings was good clean accommodation and perhaps is starting to look a little tired. The mattresses sank a bit and need replacing. Other than that it was a perfect place to stay and management were really nice.

We booked two separate rooms (one for us, one for my parents). Unfortunately we didn't think to request that the rooms to be adjoining because we did notice our room had a door to the next room (occupied/locked) - but next time we will do so! There is a mini refrigerator, toaster, and electric kettle for your use. You can request microwave if you should need one. There are BBQs to use (must reserve). There is a pool for use during the day time. Trust me, you don't want to head there at night. Tennis court too. Our rooms had adjoining balcony with a great view of the hinterland rainforest. All around a comfortable stay and one we will definitely consider again in the future for a quick getaway!

Our one bedroom apartment had a compact bedroom, beautifully renovated bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities (small washing machine & dryer) and a balcony overlooking the water. The only negative was that we felt that the bed was a little too soft for us to be comfortable. There was also a BBQ and pool area in the apartment complex and a secure underground car park. This is a good budget friendly option for a Mooloolaba stay!
