UNFORTUNATELY, they seem to lack consideration for surrounding businesses and the available parking for the patrons of the businesses. A business was threatened by multiple workers at this mosque because the business decided to charge for parking/block parking spots unless they were customers. Originally, multiple people from the mosque came and threatened to take away all of their business until the had to move. They came two different times the first day. After that, they seemed to come once every day continuing to make threats, but they attempted to change their tune. The business they were threatening does not sell anything that goes against their religion, they simply threatened the business because the business put its customer's first, rather than the mosque's visitors. He accused me of being the problem because I am not Muslim. The conversation felt forced and oppressive. He then proceeded to question my faith and change the conversation to me rather than my bf. When I explained to him my bf threw glass at the wall out of rage of fasting the Eman blamed me and said my bf life will be miserable as long as he stays with me and that he shouldn't be with me. This type of experience is not the love I receive at my Church. I was invited to this mosque in November 2023 when I started my spiritual journey. I have the right in America to choose and I did not choose to be Muslim but, I have supported and respected Muslims, even my bf. The Eman said he doesn't help people who reach out to him who are calling to connect Muslims who are struggling and who are dating a Christian. Then he hung up on me. The Eman here is a leader at this Mosque and I feel so sorry for any woman and female who experiences this person. He is not a respectful or peaceful leader. I would run away from behavior like that.

There is a huge crowd for Friday prayers so they offer two Jummah timings which is great. The only drawback is that the parking lot doesn't have the capacity to hold the number of cars, especially for the first Jummah prayer but they might extend the parking lot soon to accommodate everyone.

There are over 60 mosques in the DFW area and the community continues to grow, work towards building more and expanding in the near future. IAA is very special to me for several reasons, one of which is that I attended the very first fundraiser and was excited to have a mosque so close to home. I love going to Friday prayer, listening to the uplifting khudbah(sermon) and attending taraweeh prayer during Ramadan. The Scholars, Imams put in a lot of effort and dedication to help the community members stay connected. My son attends Sunday school at IAA and he enjoys every moment of it. The teachers provide a perfect balance of learning and play environment for these young kids. I really look forward to going to this peaceful, beautiful mosque every time. They also provide other services such as counseling, activities for the youth, feed your neighbor and so much more. After the expansion is completed, our beautiful mosque will be able to accommodate all the community members needs which is truly a blessing.
