This is my favorite place to eat! If you are in town definitely try it, my favorite is the Curry Tofu Noodle soup!

Only had takeout here. The food has been great and it is very affordable. a soup and salad is enough for 2. The spicy beef salad was great, the spice factor was probably a 6/10 which can always be increased with more chili sauce. I've had several soups and they've all been excellent. This place is a great Gluten Free option as they offer rice noodles. Inside is very small but cute, no beer or wine. read more

The dishes here are pretty good. The reason for my low rating is because the strange service I always receive when I visit. I've been there around five times and have had a problem with my order three times. Usually I'm really quiet about mistakes so I didn't even ask for them to fix it. But once I went to my friend and she ordered the Seafood Noodle Soup and got the Coconut Seafood Noodle Soup. She told them that the order was wrong and she didn't like coconut. The new soup arrived but it appeared that they reused the noodles from the last soup and just replaced the broth. The soup is pretty good though! If you don't mind small frequent mistakes then I guess you should give it a shot. read more

Nice clean little restaurant in downtown Northampton. Price is very reasonable. Had the beef noodle soup. It was ever so slightly too salty for my taste, but overall, the food is very good. Summer rolls are also very delicious. Great for a hot humid summer day! Kimchi dumplings are not so good. Try to avoid that dish. read more

I was so excited to try this place and it did not disappoint! The waitress was fabulous, very friendly and answered our questions with a smile and a laugh. She was attentive, but made sure she gave us space to chat and enjoy our food. Speaking of food, it was great! We had the vegetable dumplings, which someone commented they were small. They are real homemade dumplings, small crescent shaped, and not those giant ones you might get at a chinese food place. We also had a pot of white tea, and we drank the whole thing. Then, my friends got the Tiny Dumpling soup, one with egg noodles and one with rice. They loved it! I got the Shoukthai soup (I may be butchering the spelling) which had fish balls, slices of fish, slices of roasted pork, and chicken, bean sprouts, and some veggies in a savory/sweet-ish sauce. I got the giant flat rice noodles. I LOVED IT. I ate the whole thing. Overall, friendly and nice staff. Very cute setup inside. Great food, and prices were inexpensive for the area. Dumplings were 5.95, pot of tea 3.95, each soup was 8.50 or 8.95 for a GIANT delicious bowl. Highly recommend. read more

My favorite place whenever I go to Northampton. They give incredibly large portions full of flavor. The Tofu Laksa and the Golden noodles (I think is what it's called, with the crusty noodles on top of curry base broth) are my personal favorites. read more

Stopped there yesterday. Had the beef medley noodle soup. It was pretty good... but for something rated 3 peppers it wasn't all that spicy... but there was a bottle of hot sauce on the table and that really helped. Beef was very tender, both the stew beef and the sliced beef. Could use more cilatro and spices. Sui mei appetizer is nothing special, like the kind you can get in asian market frozen and then steamed. If you have cravings for noodle soup this is a pretty ok place to go. This place looked so promising, but now I realize why it was dead on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, when every other restaurant was packed. The place looks clean and is wonderfully decorated with pictures of their food. The soups looked great, but they had way too many over-cooked noodles, and the flavors just weren't there. Almost all of the soups are Thai style, but they lack those essential Thai flavors (lime, garlic, dried shrimp, fish sauce, chili...). I feel like they're on the right track, they just need to get the kitchen whipped into shape. read more

Went here because I really wanted to eat some ramen. I'm from San Francisco and I love Ramen Noodles!! The noodles here were ok, the broth doesn't taste like miso at all. My coconut noodle soup did not taste very good, neither did my thai bubble tea. The noodle was all broken up and the iced tea tasted bitter. There is a bathroom in the restaurant. After my third visit to Noodles, I decided I had enough information to form a solid opinion. So far between myself and my guests I had sampled 7 of the menu choices, mostly from the soup section, and they were all quite good. The broth was flavorful, not too salty, and complimented the other ingredients. The noodles were tasty and just firm enough to give a nice texture. The heat scale is only useful to the most sensitive of palates, as I felt that even the hottest ratings were fairly mild. That said, the chile paste was quite good, with a nice sweet spicy flavor that built on itself over time in a satisfying, sweat inducing way. Some complaints that kept Noodles from a higher rating: I know that noodle restaurants always prepare the noodles ahead of time, and that most ingredients are pre-prepared. I think that the best noodle soups finish cooking in the hot broth just as it is served to you. Noodles does not seem to do this. The noodles themselves are autonomous of the broth and have not absorbed any flavor. Also, my chicken was slightly dry and the shrimp, though good, were a little rubbery. It was not so terribly bad, but it could have been better. Though my shrimp was "butterflied" it still contained the "vein". If it really was a vein I would not care, but that vein is the shrimps digestive tract, and the purpose of butterflying is not aesthetic, it is to remove that vein. I was told after buying lunch I was not allowed to pay with my credit card as the total was under $10. Businesses are not allowed to have a minimum purchase for using credit cards. This is mandated by their agreement with the credit card companies. I understand that many businesses loathe to pay the surcharges for credit card purchases and that those charges can represent a significant drain on a businesses bottom line. However, especially if your business has a menu mostly comprised of items under $10, they must be prepared to take credit cards in this increasingly cashless society. read more

This restaurant is relatively unknown to fellow Smith students. Multiple times I have taken groups of friends there, and they all always end up loving it. The food is flavorful and overall excellent. The only con I have is that I don't love the table set up, and the service is somewhat slow (there is only one waitress every time I've been there) and indifferent. read more

I go out of my way to go to noodles. I've spent time in Japan and I miss Asian food. This is the only place where I can find ramen with udon noodles. It's also the best place I've tried. Northampton is out of my way but I make a point of going because I love the food so much. Their prices are fantastic and their food is absolutely amazing. Every time I go I have the curry noodle soup. It's the most amazing thing I've ever had. I am never disappointed. This is truly a hidden gem. Make sure to stop by, you'll never regret it. read more

I ate here twice while visiting Northampton for two weeks. I had the coconut curry beef and the coconut curry chicken, each time with Won Ton soup. I liked both but you get more chicken than beef, not a lot of beef at all. I liked the wonton soup. I forgot to order brown rice with the beef and white rice was pretty mushy but I still thought it was ok. People are nice. Price seems about average for Northampton, which means somewhat more than I'm used to paying where I live in New York, but not a huge amount more. I'd eat there again if I am here in the future. I will just make sure I remember to order brown rice. I imagine I could have ordered the curry sauce on the side to avoid the white rice being mushy but I didn't think of asking. read more

My boyfriend and I were looking for a vegetarian place for dinner tonight and we came across this cute little restaurant! Pleasantly surprised by the veggie options and the large portion sizes. God awful. Just kill yourself before you walk in. You'll want to after experiencing the terrible vibe inside as no one else is there who isn't on payroll. And there's no music to distract you from this fact. And then your food comes out and it's basically terrible. This was a very disappointing place. We went with a group of 5. We got seated at the very end near the bathroom when there were plenty of other seats available. (really, their bathroom needs a relocation...) had some appetizers, nothing you cannot find at you local Tran's World Food Market and boil/fry yourself. One person received the wrong beef noodle soup bowl. Was going to eat it anyway, but the beef slices were way too dry. Had to get it switched to the original one, which was better. I ordered a noodle dish and wonton soup. Everything came out but my wonton soup. The waitress apologized but I said it was okay. Received the soup. I bit into the wonton, familiarized with a starchy, mushy sensation, and immediately withdrew. The chicken was still raw... Friends did not believe me until I showed them the definite pink. I did not make a hassle over it but told the waitress. She brought my soup back and I assume, blanched it longer. Again I waited and had to ask for it to-go. The disappointing part? So glad that I got the Thai iced tea bubble tea, it was really good! I would definitely recommend getting the leek cubes as a starter (if only I could remember the real name). They were delightfully crispy on the outside but very moist on the inside. I was not expecting such a large portion of my beef noodle soup- delicious! The udon noodles I had in mine were very good! I've been to Noodles before and it was always pretty reliable in the fast-comfort-food department. However, this afternoon was the complete opposite. First, there was only one person working (and I understand, day after Xmas) but with that being said, there was no apology for slow service, no acknowledgement that service might be less than ideal for that day. Next, the restaurant was cold; several tables were still wearing their coats and bulky sweaters, until I mentioned that it was a little drafty, then the [only] server turned the heat on. Finally, aside from everything else, every table still had all of their plates piled on, from the previous diner. And I mean, every table. In fact, those tables weren't cleaned until another diner came in and asked for a table. To be seated for an hour next to dirty dishes, is honestly disgusting. I'm giving Noodles 2 stars because the soup was okay, but everything else made this a truly disappointing experience and I'm really not sure if I'll go back. read more

We tried this place out because we had a groupon and we've been wanting a good noodle place in the area. No such luck. My wife got the beef noodle soup with udon noodles which turned out to be nothing more than hot water with boiled beef and noodles. Thank god for the soy and chili sauce that were on the table. I got the Golden Noodles with beef. The curry sauce was really good, and the beef tasty, but over cooked, but the dish was so full of raw onion that it was basically all you could taste. We also go the tiny dumplings, which were also bland. It just feels like none of the recipes were really thought through. Good ideas but they need to be tasted and worked on. I will say that our waiter was very nice and thoughtful and the place was clean so one of the stars I'm giving them is for that. But unless I suddenly start hearing that they've made huge improvements, we won't be going back. read more

When i called they argued with me about it when i can obviously look at the plate in front of me and see no veggies... so it then was my fault that they didn't give me what they promised and i paid for.
