Beef Spicy Beef Noodle/Rice Noodle Soup with Knife Cut Noodle
Dalena D.

One of my fav Chinese restaurants in Orange County!! Been coming here for years. This place isn't too busy and I believe it's under-rated Must try: - Qinghai Clear Cold noodle (they run out by dinner sometimes) - Beef Noodle Soup with knife cut noodles - Beef Roll pancake We've came here over 10 times and these are our favorite things to order on repeat!

Noodle St is a spot serving up some authentic and delicious Chinese dishes. This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a nice modern interior with a solid amount of seating. Wifey and I stopped by for dinner around 7pm and were seated right away. For their menu, they have a good selection to choose from. Wifey and I opted to get the Beef Roll, Savory Braised Chicken Noodles, and the Signature Beef Noodle Soup. Overall, everything that we had was delicious and filling with a generous portion size. All of the staff here are very welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely be back for another satisfying meal next time we are nearby the area!

High quality noodles, would recommend everything we ordered! No wait time for dinner and the food was served quickly. You can watch the chefs slicing the noodles fresh at the open kitchen. We ordered: - Signature beef noodle soup: Choice of spicy or non-spicy, we got non-spicy. Love the noodle texture a lot. Mild soup but not bland! - Lamb skewers: way better than some other spots like Northern cafe. A bit pricey so maybe I'll pass on this next time. Good to try though! - Beef rolls: lots of flavor, loved this a lot. Really like how the vegetables are cold inside, felt very fresh. - Minced beef noodles: my personal favorite!! Sauce is more complex than it looks. I was scraping down every last spoonful of it lol. Will be back!

Hands down the best place for hand-pulled noodles--and they're even open on Christmas! Every dish was exceptionally flavorful. The hand-pulled noodles were perfectly chewy with a generous portion that's great for sharing. Don't skip the cucumber- it adds the perfect refreshing crunch on the side. And their chili oil? An absolute must to drizzle on top for that extra kick. Service was fast, and you can really appreciate that everything is made fresh right in the open kitchen. It's a great spot whether you're planning a date night, family dinner, or even dining solo. Next time, I'm excited to try the no-spice clear broth, the broth itself is so rich and flavorful, and it's mild enough to be kid-friendly too. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to!

Noodle St always slaps and it's not ever crazy busy! I first went to Noodle St when I was at CSUF and I saw that they opened up a branch here and got so excited! Happy to report that it tastes just as good! Everything that I've tried here has always been clean, fresh and perfectly seasoned. Not to mention, the floor, bowls, silverware, etc is very clean which I don't always expect for an Asian place hahaha. My favorites are: -Cucumber Salad -Beef Roll -Signature Beef Soup If you haven't definitely try the knife cut, thicker noodles because they have a chewier texture in the best way possible! I don't like lam b myself but my friends who tried the lamb and like to eat lamb in general said that the lamb skewers were also very good (I tasted the spices dusted on top and it is very cumin heavy, which I personally don't like).

Friendly vibes and good service. Would go with friends if they wanted to go. Parking situation is great, easy to find parking. Recommend: beef noodle soup, beef rolls. Criticisms: knife cut noodles are too soft, soup is watery and salty, and dishes don't have very much meat in general.

Food: not pictured were the lamb skewers. SO good. We inhaled them before I remembered to take a picture. I don't like lamb in general, but these were delicious. My next second favorite was the beef noodle soup. And last but still very good were the beef pancakes. They were good the next day too. Service: a bit slow but no other complaints. Ambience: a good amount of indoor seating, a bit bright, and not the most inviting interior.

If you haven't tried noodle St get in your car now and head over immediately! In all seriousness, I didn't know what to expect from this restaurant and I was blown away. I was doing a happy dance the entire time we were there. QINGHAI CLEAR COLD NOODLE- Chewy noodles served with a chili and vinegar sauce. They are topped with fresh garlic and scallions. I could have eaten many servings of this. BEEF ROLL PANCAKE- Beef, green onions, cilantro and hoisin sauce wrapped in a soft and buttery pancake. This is probably the best beef roll pancake I've ever had. SPICY BEEF NOODLE- Chunks of beef shank, kale, pickled veggie, cilantro and green onions. The meat was so tender and the spicy level was perfect. Can't wait to go back and try more menu items.

This is always my go to spot when I'm craving some great quality noodles! Their signature beef noodle looks simple, but packed with great flavor. What really tops it off is their housemate spicy oil which isn't too spicy at all. You can always adjust the spice level of the noodle and add on more as you go from the spice jar on the side of your table (they are the same spice oil). Their minced beef dry noodles has a nice saucy touch to it. It also comes with a side of soup so you can taste their signature broth! The beef roll has a nice crunchy texture. The meat inside also is nice and warm! A lot of places who sell this has cold meats or not enough meat inside, but this has a great amount of meat. The restaurant was also doing a menu sampler for orange chicken. It had a nice tangy taste with a good crisp. Would recommend for this menu addition! The ambiance is great as well. There is an open kitchen where you see the chefs, who all wear masks for sanitary reasons. The servers were all really friendly and attentive. Great restaurant to bring your friends and family. Highly recommend!

Beef Roll Pancake - Beef, Green Onions, Cilantro, and Hoisin Sauce

To be perfectly honest, the main reason why we ended up coming to Noodle St was because we'd already been to our go-to spot for beef noodle soup more than once during this trip. However, that's not to say I hadn't already had my eye on this place - after seeing them pop up multiple times on my IG feed, and reading through a bunch of their reviews on Yelp, I'd had this place sitting in my list of bookmarks just for an occasion like this! Compared to our aforementioned spot for beef noodle soup (A & J), I absolutely love how parking here is so much easier. Granted, it helps that this complex is also a lot larger, but it doesn't change how much more convenient (and I can stop into H-Mart, too!). Plus, it was great how we were able to get seated immediately and how modern and clean the decor is. As far as the menu goes, it's pretty straightforward and not all that extensive, but it's no less interesting. Along with their selection of noodle dishes (several of which sounded tasty), they also have a solid selection of a few rice plates, appetizers, and sides as well! -- BEEF ROLL PANCAKE - Beef, Green Onions, Cilantro, and Hoisin Sauce...$12.80 Ehh...I wasn't high on this one, but it's definitely a "me" issue - there was so much fresh cilantro in this! Some of the slices of beef felt a bit dry as well, but I actually thought the pancake was great! The outside was slightly crispy yet the inside had a nice chew to it. -- LAMB SKEWERS - Lamb, Chili Powder, and Cumin Powder...$9.50 This was my favorite dish of the night! Each of the skewers had a fair amount of meat, the chunks of lamb were juicy with a good bit of char, and the seasoning had the perfect balance of cumin and chili powder. -- SPICY BEEF NOODLE SOUP with Chunks of Beef Shank, Kale, Pickled Vegetables, Cilantro, and Green Onions...$16.50 Not bad, but not as awesome as I had hoped for either. The knife cut noodles were cooked well, the slices of beef were moist, and I liked the kale, despite how it initially felt like an odd addition. As for the broth, it wasn't bad, but I wish it had been a bit more luscious and beefy. While I waffled back and forth between giving three or four stars for the food, it ended up being an easy call after factoring in service. For the most part, the workers were fine - they greeted us when we walked in and were generally pretty friendly. That being said, throughout our meal, it felt like we were being rushed out. Someone would come to take away each plate almost immediately after we would finish the last bite and were quick to hand us our bill and clear our table. It would be (somewhat) understandable if the restaurant had been busy, but the place was barely half full the entire time we were here. Considering how so many folks seem to like this place, I can't help but wonder if we might have had better luck trying their signature noodle soup dish. At the very least, a more relaxed experience (and less cilantro, for me) would've helped. Given that, I wouldn't mind coming back to give a couple of their other dishes, but in the meantime, THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded down for now feels about right.

I came here twice now! The first time was a gift I received from an unnie friend MK. She was celebrating the start of grad school for me, and covered for my meal. I ate so well MK. The second time was also a gift from my mom in celebration of getting through my first few weeks of medical school. This place is wonderful to grab spicy beef noodle soup. The signature dishes are Signature for a reason which is why I give a 10/10 for all of the dishes we ordered thus far: 1) Spring Cold Noodle with Round Noodles 2) Spicy Beef Noodle/Rice Noodle Soup 3) Beef Roll Pancake 4) Signature Beef Noodle/Rice Noodle Soup A bowl and a beef roll pancake is enough to split between two people! If you are going with a friend and you both wanted to try a little bit of both. Service was quick and personable. There were some servers who could have slowed down and checked in with us more regularly. The interior is beautifully arranged. You can see the noodles being made in the open! We loved the food, and have been blessed by them. God bless you all!

I came here with my dear friend on a Saturday evening for a quick dinner - the space was big with a lot of tables and were seated very quickly. We ordered the beef noodle soup and beef roll pancake to share and it was a LOT of food for two people - we were both only able to eat one roll each and took the rest home, so it was great value. The flavors were very good and I think the pancake stood out to me the most, so I would come back for this specifically. Thank you to the attentiveness of the servers as well!

Food: 4/5 I ordered their signature beef noodle soup and it was alright, I was expecting the broth to be more flavorful. The knife cut noodle was good, but slightly overcooked. The beef roll was delicious, loved the crunchy texture on the wrap and sweet and savory sauce wrapped in the beef. Service: 5/5 Waiters are attentive and quick with service. Ambiance: 5/5 Nice And clean, very accommodating with our party of nine.

No matter how many new spots I try, this is HANDS DOWN still my go-to when I'm craving something warm, soupy/noods, comforting, and genuinely satisfying. There's just something about watching the noodles being made fresh right in front of you that sets the tone. You know you're about to be in for a treat and get a good meal. The udon is always perfectly chewy, the broth is rich without being too heavy, and everything just hits the spot every time. This Irvine location is located in the infamous Diamond Jamboree plaza ~ in the corner lot where Ajisen ramen use to be. It's spacious, bright and clean & the service is consistent. While I personally try to avoid this plaza at all costs..IYKYK..due to the parking madness & cray cray drivers, it happened to be open later and was close to home for us. I legit frequent their other locations (in Aliso Viejo or even South Coast Plaza) more, purely for my sanity. Lol I opt'd to be adventurous and stear outside my norms for once and order the cheese katsu tomamata. I love tomatoes and katsu usually, so this felt like a natural, perfect marriage. The broth was thick, but flavorful. The perfect balance of sweet and savory. The katsu was uber crispy (as with all their fried sides). The cheese surprisingly worked & was really the star ingredient. It blended everything together perfectly. I'm usually a creature of habit and go for the creamy broth udon, as it's always my favorite. That creamy chicken broth, topped with juicy pork chashu, and a flavorful seasoned egg is just sooo yums! Add some chili oil and flakes and BAM..heaven. Glad I changed it up this time around. I would totally order the cheese katsu tomamata again. Whether I'm super hungry or just need a quick pick-me-up, Marugame never disappoints ~ a total RxFoodie recommend!!!

It wasn't hard to get a table, but the food did take a bit longer than expected to come out. Pricewise you aren't looking at a bargain, but it's not unreasonable.
