They are the extroverts of furniture. Nothing quiet and meekish here. The huge beds in particular gave off a Bollywood or Hollywood flavour. I was looking at the dining suites out of personal interest and they did have a large selection, I admired, but that was all, bank balance doesn't quite allow for shopping here at the moment, another day. The website link on their business card doesn't actually include their location details in Henderson for some reason, but I can assure everyone reading this that it does exist, I was in there personally! (February 2013 to be exact!). On the website they mention two other store locations, New Lynn and lucky for those around Manakau, a Super Store even, corner of Cavendish Drive and Lambie Drive. I recommend at least having a browse in one of the stores when shopping for large furniture that will offer that extra touch of style.

First one got sent with so much damage, it was not worth putting together. As I had not inspected it within thier "store policy" time they refused to engage with just sending me whole new one, and wanted to wait until the couier accepted damage. They then wanted me to go thru the very large boxes one by one and ID all the damage when I told them what we saw in the first box was not worth looking at rest. You cannot call the complaints staff to discuss only sales accepts calls, they dont have phones apparently. They refuse to put you thru. Only when I raised a commerce commission complaint did they send a new one, and take the old one. A very large 5 door wardrobe had not one peice numbered, so it massively added to the complication to figure out what when were, so basic but not done. And screws and fixing were all mixed together, about 500 gramms of it, so that all needed to be manually sorted out. Dont go there team, avoid.

Been waiting over a month for a dispute to be resolved with these guys. All they do is send emails…read moreback and forth (delayed) when I have clearly stated my position on a refund/product replacement. Had done trades via trade me. Both times got products in good time, but the quality of one item for rabbits is not fit for them to live in, had screws missing from box and door broke off in first week of having it. $80 product and they wanted to give me a $15 refund at first. I asked for a replacement item similar to something else I had bought that was only $40 but then they had none in stock, and offered me $20 refund. That's just insulting. The next one up was almost $50 and I said that I would pay the shipping. Had to restate it twice and then crickets. They email and I email right back and then there are weeks in between their replies with no resolution in sight. Just want the whole thing sorted. Won't be doing any trades with them in the future, their customer service is a total joke. It appears that this is a consistent issue with this company!

Trade Aid is a shop that I continually support, as it's where you can find unique gift that cuts out the middle guy and benefits the artisans and craftspeople directly. The majority of the items sold are beautiful homewares, handmade cards, manchester, kitchen items, delicious coffee and chocolate, toys for children, handwoven rugs, sissal rugs, jewellery and some clothing items. I always think of Trade Aid first if I need a birthday card, a gift, or something for my house. Simply put, Trade Aid has been supporting fair trading practices, well before Fairtrade became trendy. Support them and you support artisans and workers in developing countries. The Henderson branch packs a punch - it may not be as big as the Ponsonby store, but they are SUPER friendly, helpful and always well stocked. Get yourself there! (the chocolate almonds are amazing).
