We went to Nomads for the Friday night salsa band which had been recommended by a local. We didn't stay there so I can't comment on the hotel/ hostel.
We ate while waiting for the band -- the location was lovely right in the water with hammocks, beach beds, tables, a pier. The service was great and the food was much better than expected.
The group ordered delicious shrimp which came with a very buttery rice dish that tasted like popcorn. We also ordered oysters and a salad. We originally ordered Caesar salad but they were out of it so we got a salad with figs, nuts etc. The salad was huge and a bit bitter. All the other food was also huge and delicious. We thought this was a hostel so the food exceeded our expectations for taste and quantity. It isn't priced for a hostel. They also gave us complimentary smoked fish dip and chips (all the tables got that) and an orange juice. (Not sure why we got the orange juice).
It was a rainy night and the band cancelled so we never got to see them but it was a good night anyway. read more
