I saw old friends greet and hug, and newbies mingle with others over what I think is being called the galleries most provocative exhibition yet. There was other art to view, and one of these days, when I either hit the lottery or get a hold to the trust fund, I'm sure has been hidden from me, I will surely return and buy several pieces. Primarily, I think I'd rather hire Harriett out and have her do a DeeDee version of the "Pass the Salt" photograph that was hanging here. The parking was not bad at all. I was parked in a parking garage. It seemed really safe and there was an officer riding around from the time that I got out of the car until the time I walked to the front door. The whole set up was amazing and I only paid five dollars for parking when I left the garage that was absolutely a bonus, especially when you're in Buckhead, if I ever have an opportunity to host an event, I would love for it to be at the museum. The gallery was quiet, with only a few patrons, and the exhibition was stunning and thoughtfully curated. However, the visit felt noticeably impersonal. Throughout our less than 30 minute tour, we were not acknowledged by staff at all. One team member remained fully engaged in conversation with another patron without once extending a greeting, as we toured the main level. Other staff appeared occupied and only responded when we asked a question about viewing the top level. While the exhibit was impressive, the lack of basic courtesy detracted from an otherwise enjoyable visit.

When I entered Jackson Fine Art, I was immediately greeted by a friendly woman. She led me to the Holiday Soundtrack Art Gallery which depicts stunning, timeless black and white works of art that pictured legendary entertainers. I consumed the images with my eyes and for the first time I understood why art is so powerful. Truly Timeless works of Art can invoke emotions and a person can get lost in these images. The person who wrote the age old saying that a picture is worth a thousand words was absolutely right. As I absorbed in these incredible art pieces I was at a loss for words. In the other room, there was abstract art. These images were equally timeless and moving. There were three art pieces in particular that stirred within me a deep sadness. These images were of a state of mind of someone who was lost and alone. Maybe someone who had recently lost a loved one. Even in these works of art there was great mystery to life and death and all in between. These stunning works of art made me wonder about my life, and where I was in life, and about my approaching death. These were incredibly mysterious and moving images. One Art piece in particular I just wanted to stare at all day. It was a dark image of a lake. Still. And quiet. Not a soul in sight.
