I had the pleasure to go make copies of my keys for the office today. I noticed they had a special for car keys as well so I asked if they could make me a copy for my car key that had been giving me trouble for quiet a while. I kept trying to make a copy for it for some time now but every time I went to different places no one was able to make a copy for me because it was so worn out that it wasn't opening my car door. Despite that being a huge problem already that was not the worse part, my key requires a code which helps my car start. For whatever reason the code in my car key wasn't easy to clone and with out it my car didn't want to start. However, everyone here made it their priority for me to get my new car key to work. They would not give up no matter how many times the key was not reading the code to make my car start they kept trying until finally they were able to make it start. I now have a brand new key that allows me start my car, it allows me to lock and unlock it! I am extremely excited about it and highly appreciate everyone's hard work. THANK YOU SO MUCH! This is an update to my previous review. I had asked a question as to why certain knives take a specific amount of time to sharpen and the folks at Prestige answered so I will post their response to me below in case anyone else would like to know: Prestige Locksmith's states: Firstly I'd like to thank you for coming in and seeing our new location! I'd also like to explain why there is a range for sharpening: mainly the length of the blade determines the price of a knife. Composition of the steel is another factor. Most knives are simple stainless steel, but they do make knives from hardened, high carbon, or vanadium as well. These types of steel are very hard and retain their edge much longer than stainless steel (although they tend to crack or shatter after time). Being a harder steel, they cause more damage to our sharpening equipment. J.H. Prestige was the name of the business prior to us taking over. J.H. or Jose Haro was the previous owner (who ironically was trained by our current owners father). Our current owner you actually met, David was the person who sharpened your knives! Fast, knowledgeable, helpful, and basically one of the few experiences in my life where they told me a way to save ME money by not having them do something I could do. When does that ever happen? They were also 1/2 the price everyone else was charging. If you think "I have to go to the dealer for this" you don't. Go to these guys, they can do it, and for a fraction of the cost. One of the worst experiences with locksmiths. A few weeks back the ignition on my car got stuck and wouldn't turn on and also had a few problems with a door. I called these guys and the guy that answered was quick to give me a quote on the work without even looking at the problem. He sends out the next morning a terrible technician named Felipe that Micky moused the whole job. I paid over 250$ and the ignition didn't even last a week before it happened again leaving me stranded . This Felipe guy came again and did his halfass work again damaging my ignition to the point were my keys just fall off the ignition while the car is on . The guy also took a door cylinder out and said he was going to use it to remake the ignition never replaced it it's still missing! and all these bunch of lies he did a terrible job reassembling my door and my ignition . Never met people so unprofessional . If your looking to get robbed go there. read more

Great work, great people. This place is a small trailer type building, that can fit maybe two costumers at a time inside. But they don't need much room to make the operation work. They get you in and out relatively quickly as well. I've visited the shop many more times than I'd like to admit, and they have always been able to deliver with a smile. This place is a rip off. Go else where if you need to reprogram a high end key fob. They wanted to charge me almost for $400 for a ten minute work. Another place did the same job for 1/3 of the price. This place overcharges and it's not even funny. They are only good for house keys at best. Stay away for reprogramming. read more

This place is the ONE and ONLY locksmith I'll go to! I've been recommending family and friends for years and they always leave satisfied. Javier's Customer Service is always superb. This guy is down to earth, always in good smiling spirits with a tremendous work ethic. Every time I go they only recommend what I need. Unlike one event with my lousy local Toyota Dealer: I have a Toyota and years back I called the Toyota service department for a replacement remote they told me "It'll be roughly about $200 not including programming which would be another $180 but there's a chance the programming might not "catch" so in additional charge of $180 maybe added to "re-reprogram" it but it all depends." So roughly I was looking at spending $550+ and I would have to sit and wait for a couple hours until they were done. Got a new ignition installed on my car which has the VATS passkey II with the chip embedded to the key. Brought in my blank key (checked ohm reading and matched original) and they made me two copies. They also carry their own blanks too. The guy helping me sat in my car and tested each to make sure it was cut right and that my car started right up. He even gave me a great price for the two keys. Small shop run by one man in a parking plaza. I waited in line for a key and surely enough more people came once my turn was up. Knowledgeable locksmith knew my issue offhand. Initially this opportunity seemed hopeful but turned out to be a bust. I needed the lock changed on my door so an employee came out to change my lock and quoted me for $50 to then lowered the price to 40. Great. Then I go to the store to return tools that the owner provided me with so I could try to change the lock myself (which didn't happen obviously). Upon my return the owner was frustrated saying I didn't pay the total on the charge, which he stated now at $73. After a much frustrating conversation, were he blamed me for the communication problem, I ended up paying the difference. I explained that it was disappointing that I had to pay a different price than I was originally told, when it was his employee that didn't have the right information. It seems like a problem of bad communication and bad customer service. If David, the owner, had been professional about the problem and told me there was a mistake than I would've felt better about paying the difference but now I just feel wronged and tricked. The customer service and prices at this place are amazing. place is great with fair prices. I have been here to get new key remotes made for 4 different cars. I also recently purchased a car from the dealership with one of those intelligent keys and accidentally locked it in the glove compartment box when I meant to put my old car keys in it. I didn't have a spare key. It was about to be after hours and I called them to see if they could open it. They stayed after business hours and were able the unlock the glove compartment and retrieve my intelligent key. So the next week I went back and they made a copy of the intelligent key fob with push to start on my vehicle.
