The Tin Cup Cafe has a very relaxed ambience, very causal local experience. They have down to earth friendly staff and great meals made with love and have a home-made feel to them. No...that would have been the smart thing to do ... but apparently their business mode is if a customer complains about their horrible treatment,food and non existent service- do not apologise for taking their money under false pretences - don't refund them - don't offer them another meal on another night with better service - The Whistlestop's idea of improved costumer service is to BAN THE PERSON from even having coffee at their glorified pizza shop- so that they never get a chance to make it up to you - OK So now I feel I have to officially retract all of the nice things I have said in the past about The Whistlestop and the excuses I have made for their frequent bad nights and all the bad reviews they have had from so many others .... my official review now is : DONT GO UNLESS YOU ARE A MASOCHIST - move over madam lash service on the Gold Coast has hit an all time low ..... The staff really make you feel welcome, and depending on how often you visit remember your name and your favourite orders. It was absolutely delightful, and became my staple food for the evening. Finally, it was desert time. The cupcakes, slices, brownies, chocolate lollipops, chocolate fountain and cheese (just to name a few items in this huge desert selection) were all divine. My dinner expanded to about 6 courses (3 of which being desert and cheese). At first look, this buffet is quite expensive. However, when you arrive, you will realise this is quite good value.
