A unique view of the Eastern Blue Ridge Mountains. This is…read morejust a few hundred feet from the Black Rock Visitors Center. It is at the turn right before you arrive at the visitor's center. It has a small parking area right off the road. There is a wooden viewing platform built right off the road terminating in a platform about 8 x 15 feet wide and about 25 feet off the ground. This allows visitors to see below and out across the mountains to the east. It offers a nice view but not as spectacular as the ones from the visitors center. It is important to note that this location offers the Eastern view whereas the Visitor's center offers the southern view so it is unique in that respect. One of the trails originates from this same location. It is nice to see and has a nice informational display built onto the platform explaining the view. When first entering it looks like it is a tunnel through the trees but it opens into a better, broader view. It is worth a stop either on the way to the visitor's center or on the way back from the center. You may also want to visit the Foxfire museum right down the mountain a little bit. Enjoy.

It is a small store and it can feel a little claustrophobic in here if its busy but it's still worth the visit if you are in town. The store is on the main strip where all the action is in Helen; however, it's a bit further away from the chaos so there are lulls in people traffic coming into the store. The store is organized well but it is packed so, plenty to see around every corner. The staff were friendly and efficient. Thanks to the colorful signage and the bouncy house in the yard, this shop was all our kids would talk about and refer to throughout our entire meal. We stopped in for a "brief visit" on our way back to our car and ended up staying an hour+. There is the bouncy house, a porch swing and benches, and toys, and puzzles galore inside. There were some really unique items for kid bedrooms, like paper unicorn heads to mount to the wall or gorgeous rocks and gems to bring their day luck and a bit of pizzaz. Don't forget the huge candy selection, both bulk and pre-packaged. There are also kid tables set up with interactive stations with puzzles and crafts for kids to try out and stay occupied with. We ended up doing gem mining in the back yard of this shop. They have a patio setup where kids can pan for gems and fossils found within sand and sediment in pre-purchased buckets from inside. It was a hit! My kids were so excited. We will certainly stop in here again when in Ellijay. Shop small, y'all!

There's something that unique in every corner each Booth is owned by a different person. So you're going to find all kinds of cool stuff I actually found a really nice necklace. There's a lot to see in here so take your time. Lots of free parking in the front of the building. This three-story building is loaded with a little bit of everything and has something for everyone. Nancy found a unique vintage choker-style necklace for about $30 and I found two piano books, one for $5 and the other for $8.95. In my opinion many of the items here are overpriced but there are deals to be had; just not for what I was shopping for. The sellers would not give me a better deal on the books even though I'm probably the only one in the great state of GA that wanted them. I was actually trying to purchase a third book Beethoven Sonatas Book II, but they wanted nearly $30 for it. I could care less that it was old (vintage), I just wanted the material for study. I can buy the Henle version of this book (best quality of music book made) for the same price this Black Friday, so that was a solid NO for that purchase. Staff were friendly and the store was kept orderly. Items were displayed in a logical manner and I did not have to do a lot of digging to find what I was looking for. There are multiple sellers in the store so you might find something such as sports related items in more than one place so be sure to walk all three floors if you have time. We were in a bit of a hurry so we only had about 30 minutes to shop on this visit. I could have easily looked around for another 30 minutes or more. If you are looking for a fun shopping experience while visiting Helen, GA I recommend stopping in and checking them out.

They've got benches and card mats in the back :) so get your Black Lotus on. There's something here for everyone and if you're having trouble the staff will gladly assist! A bit too cool for downtown Blue Ridge, honestly, but I'm really glad it's here. Hopefully it becomes a permanent fixture to the area as the town expands and generates more tourism, it would suck to see a place as cool as this go out of business because of a lack of traffic, which I'm afraid of!
