Massive swirl and buffing and cut marks everywhere for over three years. I figured I'd give it one my try and thank God I found Eli and Platinum Detail Studio! I opted for the ceramic detail with lofty promises of making my truck look new again and bringing it back from the terrible place it was presently at. To my amazement, my truck looks better than it ever has, and I've had it since it was only one year off the lot. Eli took a couple days but the magic and detail he put into my truck was worth every cent and more of the $600 I paid. He fixed the original paint as well as the sub par paint I had done on quarter panels. Let me start by saying that it pains me to leave a negative review. However, considering the fact…read morethat I relied on all the other good reviews when deciding to go with flawless(which mind you, is just the name of the business, not the level of work to come), it is my obligation to future potential customers to add an honest review. The integrity of Yelp is only as good as the honesty in the reviews. So let me begin... When I spoke with Byron, the owner, we initially set a date, price and time to have my truck detailed. On the morning it was scheduled about 15 minutes prior I got a text saying his daughter was sick and was asking if we could reschedule. Well I'm a dad and I have things like this come up with my boys, so I completely understand and so we rescheduled. The next day his daughter was still sick and so we rescheduled again. This was not a problem for me. The next time I had to reschedule. Finally we got a day that would work and Byron said he would be there from 9 until about 4-5pm (which seemed in line with a thorough detail job, and my truck was very dirty as it was a work truck, so again this seemed reasonable). We had a greed to a wash, wax, detail of the inside, and the engine area all being detailed and we settled on a price and all was well. Later that day, at 12:30pm I get a text from Byron saying he was finished. I immediately thought WOW that is fantastic!! He finished in what must be record time!! Cool! I asked how it looked and he said it looked great! I was very happy and eager to come home from work to see the results. Then I saw the results...far from "flawless". In fact quite the opposite. There were flaws everywhere. In fact he didn't even do have the work we agreed to. He didn't wash the car, he didn't wax it, he didn't do much of anything in the interior and it looks exactly as my earlier poor attempt of a detailing job left it before hiring him. He did have the vinyl floor looking black because of some oily substance he poured all over it. He didn't clean te floor mats, nothing. No wonder he was "finished" just after noon! All he really did was clean the engine area. Great so why did I just spend a couple hundred bucks on this crap job??!! I hit up Byron about his poor work and he immediately offered to refund me $40 but said he was booked for the next 2 weeks. $40?????? Are you freakin kidding me?! And you aren't going to come finished what you started?? I just gave you a couple hundred bucks for a job you did 20% of and you're offering to refund me $40? You bumped your head! Immediately he re-texted and said he didn't think $40 was enough (duh) and offered to give $100 back. That is more like it. Now in all honesty Byron is a very genuine guy and definitely did feel bad for his poor work but being a genuine guy does not a good detail job make. Not finishing what you started does not a happy customer make. And now I've spent money on a crap job and have to go spend the until amount all over again to have it done right. So, Yelp users, be aware of a terrible detailing job and an unwillingness to complete the job that was started. Byron should have rescheduled those other jobs that had him booked (like he did with me more than once) and finished the job the right way...but he didn't. The two stars are because he seems like a nice guy. But his work deserves zero stars.
