Buyer beware! This company believes that being their customer is a privilege. I contracted them for my propane deliveries, and bought an expensive generator from them, but the generator doesn't work. Bill Birdsall, the owner, came over and identified a part that was not functioning so when the power goes out the generator creates a lot of noise, it does not deliver electricity to the house. He agreed that as soon as the part arrived, he would schedule a time to replace it. After two months, I followed up with a call to his cell phone and there was no answer. After several tries, I called his office three times--each time leaving a message that he should call me back. Finally, when he ignored all my messages, I left one with a woman at the office that all I wanted was to follow up, but if he continued to dodge my calls I would have to involve a lawyer. He called me in minutes, insulted me, implied I was a complete idiot, that he had spoken to his lawyer and that he was firing me as a customer. He also stated that all the contractors I work with have said I was a terrible customer! Other than the company who put up my house--who were themselves completely lacking in any kind of customer service, even to the extent that I never had a walk-through when the house was completed--I can elicit good reviews from all other contractors I have worked with. The fact that he has a lawyer on speed-dial indicates that Mr. Birdsall and his company are no strangers to irate customers who have experienced his unprofessional behavior. That he immediately tried to impugn my character also speaks volumes of how he does business. Stay away. Life is much too short to deal with companies like this and the people who run them. read more
