However, they very much are in the habit of ripping off members. They often double charge from your direct debit account (if you catch them out, and ring up, they will simply roll it over to the next month without an apology). Want to suspend your membership for 3 months? No problem.... only catch is, that they will still keep charging you. If you catch them out, guess what? They will roll it over to when you want to come back. I find this very ludicrous. Cancellation requires you to show up in person and sign forms, and apparently "takes 30 days", at the end of which, you will probably keep getting charged.

It's a bit of a bogan magnet, but that might just be the area. I try not to judge. They do have a great water women program, when the pool is only opened to women. I think this kind of program is a wonderful initiative as it welcomes women who would not be comfortable with the eyes of men on them to learn to swim. Fantastic. On the whole, it's probably not the best pool, but it's good to take your kids for an afternoon. There's a bit too much chlorine for my liking, and find a way to look after your valuables. Better yet, maybe just don't bring them.

It is quite apparent this gym is more tailored to those wanting to build muscle and in my time there today, the gym was dominated by men pumping their guns. Slightly intimidating, yes, but not at all off putting. There is plenty of equipment, especially weight machines. This takes up the majority of the gym. Personally I'm a fan of exercising using free weights and found this was quite limited. There is a good amount of cardio equipment available and a small cool down area in the back corner. The cost of membership seems decent and it's a 24/7 gym for members. Staffed hours are from 10am if you're casual. Overall a decent experience but this place needs air-conditioning and more staff on the ground. It was almost like it was expected you're just supposed to know what to do and if you're like me in a new gym it's daunting. I would recommend asking for a full tour if you plan on working out here and if you don't ask, you will be left to your own devices. Also, casual rates are way cheaper than the other gyms in the area so great if you plan to drop in on an ad hoc basis.

Staff also train and it is noticeable that they love what they do and are all happy to be there which has a huge impact on everything. When you sign up you'll get a gym tour and a program with a program run through so you know what to do when you start. Also, all the technology is modern so the touch screens on the cardio machines are really easy to navigate too. The gym itself has been recently renovated and all the equipment is new, smooth to use and shiny. The space smells and feels fresh every time and all the rooms and equipment are really clean and all areas well ventilated. There are pin-loaded machines, free weights, and a range of some of the latest cardio machines. This gym has something for everyone and is really well priced, especially for a 24/7 gym that can be used nationally. The reason I have put 4 stars, not 5 is because I really like group exercises classes and they don't have many here. Overall, the gym is great, not too big, not too small and has everything you need. Kind and motivated staff and on the whole, a good vibe. Happy to be a member here.

Just look at their Google reviews. Leave them a 5-star and they won't even acknowledge it. But dare to leave anything less than 4 stars, and you'll get a snarky, defensive response dripping with attitude. And don't be fooled by their so-called "policies." They bury you in endless fine print in the contract--impossible to read unless you've got a microscope. Convenient, right? To make things worse, they think it's okay to post customers' full names in their public replies on Google reviews--a total breach of privacy. Avoid this place at all costs.

Largest gym in south east melbourne. It has a nice naturally lit weights room, and a separate cardio room. The cable machine equipment is slightly dated and in need of reupholstery most of the time (think duct tape) but is more than adequate to train all body parts. Most of the members are friendly and not intimidating. Memberships are moderately priced, but they tend to upsell. The downside to this place are the hours. Last I heard, it closes at 9pm (which is early by other gym standards, especially with 24 hour places popping up) 2pm on Saturdays and 12pm on Sundays. This makes it very inconvenient if you want to sleep in on the weekend, like any normal person would. One other gripe, is that the water fountain is very unusually located towards the front reception (meaning you would have to walk outside of the weights area/cardio room to get a drink). The only complaint about this place is that the staff at reception should be advised, that if a member is waiting to have their card scanned, that they should get off the phone, or put them on hold. Instead, they will generally continue to have a conversation (while fully being aware that you are waiting)....until you simply walk inside (at which point they might yell at you to stop). Recommend this gym for beginners only.

Generic 24hr gym strangely located in a food square. The attached photos are not of the Hallam…read morelocation. The gym is small, with equipment being a 50% cardio 50% machines. Dumbbells/Free weights seem to be here just for symbolic purposes. The location seems to be the strangest aspect of all, it is smack bang in between fast food outlets (hungry jacks, kfc etc) which are likely to encourage you to go and get some junk food after a workout. The floor-to-ceiling glass has a frosted strip along the middle, but generally people outside can see everyone inside, and vice versa. This makes for an extremely uncomfortable workout, as you are watched by the foot traffic. The membership price is moderate, but seems high when considering its small equipment range and similar priced and better equipped gyms nearby.
