I was not expecting to find anything like this out here in St.Thomas. Over looking Majestic Mandhal Bay, sits a beautifully designed Buddhist temple. The only reason I found out about this place was because my western medical doctor, referred me over to an Eastern medical doctor for my migraines. Dr. May Trieu provides a variety of treatments here (Acupuncture, Reflexology, Accupressure) and the temple also provides free yoga classes on Sundays and meditation classes on Wednesdays (suggested donation is $20). The cost of the treatments go directly into funding the temple's work to promote well being and health for all in St. Thomas and charity. So what you pay is tax-deductible. After doing one session with Dr. Trieu, what once was a weekly migraine that lasted for two days, turned into a mild migraine that lasted a few hours and I haven't had one for 2 weeks. Happy dance!She's also not like other acupuncturists that I've been to that say you have to go every week. She recommends monthly and then less with time so I know she's not after $$$. If yoga, meditation, or acupuncture isn't your thing this is an incredible place to look out into ocean and well.....just be. I really wish I could give a higher rating because the laser technician is great. She is professional, kind, and does a wonderful job. My issue is not with the quality of the treatment--it is with the consistency and management of scheduling. My husband and I purchased our packages and have our appointments scheduled on the same day. I have had my appointments canceled four separate times, while his appointments have continued as scheduled. This has been extremely frustrating, especially because I paid in full for an unlimited laser hair removal package and the timing of treatments is important for the best results. I understand that emergencies and staffing issues can happen, but a professional business should have a backup plan so paying clients are not repeatedly impacted. The repeated cancellations have disrupted my treatment routine and have made my experience disappointing. The technician deserves five stars, but the lack of consistency, communication, and scheduling reliability from management is the reason for my three-star review. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work on improving the customer experience. read more
