Excellent array of high quality jewellery. So good quality and good value for new…read more They also design and remake jewellery so I took in some old rings of my mothers to make into one new design. The staff were excellent, they listened and came up with a design I loved. At that point they then quoted a price - which was enormous! Almost 5 times what I had expected - and that was to use all the stones and gold I had provided. I know that the finished ring would have been spectacular but I wasnt prepared to pay that much. I went to another jeweller who is making the ring at a fraction of the cost and a similar design. They explained to me what elements I had wanted that would push the price up, and consulted on how to get the best value and final product. If village goldsmiths had down the same and consulted further I would have had them make it. So a great start, a great design but too costly and a missed opportunity to help me further and make the sale.

The treatment I received involved a relaxing facial, expert massage for tight shoulders and a soothing foot treatment. All staff are very welcoming and professional, with such a gentle, warm, friendly manner. I waited only a short time and was never left to feel ignored. My therapist, Julie, was marvellous. In town for a wedding and seeing old friends that I hadn't seen in 10 years, I decided to treat…read moremyself to a blow out or as they say here, a "blow wave." I researched salons and while there are no shortage, this one is the best. Buoy recently won 5 out of 10 National salon awards, including best stylist and best salon. I signed up online to make a booking and thought their website was easy to navigate and well thought out. (Turns out, they won an award for that too.) Prices were clearly listed for every service and vary based on the level of experience of the professional carrying out the service. Bev styled my hair for the wedding, trimmed my fringe and did a fantastic job. She came highly recommended and is a consummate professional. Everyone from the receptionist to Bev's assistant was lovely. If you are in windy Wellington and need a blow wave, a hair cut or style, this salon is as good as any salon in Los Angeles or NYC. P.S. I thought my idea to get a blow out might be silly because it is indeed so windy here, but it was a brilliant idea. My hair may have been tossed around during the ceremony but once i did a quick touch up, it all fell back into place perfectly, thanks to a professional blow out.

This place did not have any reviews but I called anyway. A very nice guy answered to all my questions and helped me find my way in. It was a bit hard to find but again I was completely new to town. The place was nicely designed and very clean. My hairdresser was very professional and did great job with my hair. If I had more time I would have tried more services. Not sure if I will ever be in Wellington again, but wanted to leave this review to spread the word around.

Service was very professional and friendly. The barber was very skilled and my husband came out looking fresh! The interior is super clean and modern and the haircuts are up to date.

Walked with spiked hair. Specifically asked for a razor textured cut on top. Definitely no thinning…read morescissors as already thinning enough naturally. Good clipper cut sides and back, but no texturing on top, all one length so ended with a very flat haircut. Asked for it to be textured and barber said it was. I lifted hair and could only see one length so asked for more. She picked up thinning scissors that I had said not to use. I said no and she referred me to her colleague who then gave me the razor cut I originally asked. End product good but of course much shorter than I wanted because of the double cut. Second woman said I should have asked for the razor cut first - which I had. Disappointing. Mother and daughter team. For a clipper cut daughter Kirsty is good but obviously for a more styled look mother Francie the one to go for.
