Dinner with my hot date
Ursula O.

My new favorite place when I visit Auburn! These days, Ninja Sushi is offering limited indoor seating with quite an outdoor set up. Tables inside are 6 feet apart with hand sanitizer on each table. It was Halloween when we arrived just before 2:30pm. My friend & I were the only ones inside along with amazing staff. I have always loved watching food art, so chose to sit at one of their table near the sushi bar(the sushi bar is open btw). We ordered a small Sapporo bottle, with a small hot sake, along with one Oyster Shooter. That Oyster Shooter was delicious! I just need to remember to order it warm with a meduim spicy.. that's how I like it, at least!! For lunch we ordered The Lion King, Suzy Q, and The Lobster Crossing. Their Lobster Crossing tastes like magic and is a favorite of mine and with any guest I bring! It is a sushi roll with bits of lobster on top, drizzled with their sauce then baked. The Lion King is another one of my favorites with baked salmon on top. The Suzy Q has fresh (raw) red tuna on top... the best part is how fresh all their ingredients are!! I love a good sushi restaurant and Ninja Sushi in Auburn is like a sushi haven! They are my number one choice in Placer County! The staff was also amazing and attentive. They made sure we were doing great and through their masks, they were in high spirits while taking care of their outdoor guests. Thank you so much for pleasing my taste buds!!!

Great!

Happy Mother's Day!!…read more Today for Mother's Day, we decided to celebrate with my neighbor and have the best sushi in town here at Jinme. Jinme is consistent. Delicious every single time... so tonight, we celebrated with my daughter. We sat right away and how gorgeous was it tonight!? Balloons, streamers, and Mother's Day table cloths. After a little bit, our server came over and we ordered sunomono and vegetable tempura. Their vegetable tempura was a mixture of the vegetables, in one. Like a birds nest. It came with 4 pieces and a dipping sauce. It was different, but very good. The sunomono (cucumber salad) was cut in half into thin slices without the seeds, and the dressing on it was delicate and went so good with the cucumbers. Quite a bit of time had passed and we were given some complimentary spring rolls to snack on. The sauce it came with was a little spicy & sweet. We ordered a Simba roll, Auburn City roll, 49ers Roll, the Ultimate Roll, and salmon sashimi. All looked fantastic! The sashimi came with miso (as an appetizer). We will ended up sharing everything with each other. I really like that baked salmon roll (Simba). It has a sweet mayo on top. The Salmon Sashimi is my favorite bc the salmon on top is made with high quality salmon belly. The freshness makes me crave this often. The 49ers roll was delicious. It was different from your regular sushi rolls with rice in the outside. it had an entire cucumber casing on the outside of it. The Auburn Roll has thick pieces of red rings and salmon throughout... what a dream... Lastly, we ordered moochi ice cream and deep fried strawberry ice cream... both were out of this world!! This was the first time I have ordered dessert here and it was phenomenal! Strawberry just gets me! Our service was great! The decorations were a cute touch, too. Jinme went above and beyond to make us feel special on Mother's Day!

Both meals were hearty, well composed, belly filling without the bloat and grease you'd suffer from a lesser meal at a fast food joint. Server was happy and helpful. There were outdoor tables available. Good thing as the 3 Labradors were with us. I'm not a vegetarian. I eat animals almost everyday. This meal did not leave me yearning for some oink-oink, moo-moo nor cluck-cluck. Delicious in its own right. Recommended!

The café focuses on vegan and vegetarian dishes that emphasize whole ingredients, bright flavors, and colorful presentation. The atmosphere feels relaxed and community oriented. The interior has a casual café style that encourages people to sit down, enjoy a meal, and spend time talking or working. It has the type of environment you often find in smaller towns where the café becomes part of the neighborhood culture. The menu includes a variety of plant-based options such as bowls, salads, smoothies, and sandwiches. The dishes are thoughtfully put together with a mix of vegetables, grains, and sauces that create balanced flavors and textures. One thing that stood out to me was the freshness of the ingredients. The vegetables tasted vibrant and the meals felt nourishing rather than heavy, which is exactly what you expect from a plant-focused café. Service during my visit was friendly and welcoming, and the overall experience felt relaxed from start to finish. Overall, Nectar Café offers a refreshing option for healthy, plant-based meals in Auburn. If you are looking for fresh ingredients and a relaxed café atmosphere, it is definitely worth stopping by.

My little one has allergies to soy, gluten, and shellfish and they were able to accommodate her. We ordered her the Salmon teriyaki (no teriyaki sauce and rice. She enjoyed it very much. They even made the chopstick kid friendly by wedging a wrapped up chopstick paper and a rubberband. My daughter had fun with it. We didn't order much variety so I can't confidently say if everything was fresh or previously frozen, but it was so good that I could care less. I got the Crossings roll and my wife got the Triple tuna roll. Basically the same thing, but the tuna had 3 types of tuna and the Crossings had tuna, Shrimp and Salmon. So good we ordered another Triple Tuna roll. The filipino server was awesome. Friendly, easy to approach and knowledgable about the menu. Whether you're passing through or from the area and want sushi, my wife and I enjoyed the Crossings and Triple Tuna Roll. I hope this place is here for a long time.

Where else can you order Miso Soup with your burger?…read more Don't let the strip mall location fool you: the food here is legit. They use good bread on their burgers, my friend said their buns are delicious! I ordered a vegan burger and even the cheese and the bread was vegan! There's even a vegan noodle dish.
