A cute little beach town, with a variety of bars and eateries on a little strip. They all have a…read morebeautiful view of the ocean, and sell pretty similar items. We passed by a few promising locations, but father seemed to have his heart set on Murphy's.
It's a bit more run down than the other locations around it, and the ambiance feels more divey. I wasn't sure why he was drawn to this location, but I figure it couldn't be that bad.
Mother ordered a Caesar Salad that had watered down mayonnaise instead of Caesar dressing and some calamari that tasted like it came straight out of the ocean and on to our plate. I don't know if this is a Turkish thing, or if it's just the way Murphy's preps it.
Father ordered a Mixed plate with beef that tasted like some other kind of farm animal, and a chicken that was surprisingly juicy and flavorful.
I ordered a sea bass that they claimed to have deboned. But soon found that I was getting stabbed in the mouth by both scales and bones! The fish was good, but sad to say that the fries felt old and stale and the rice tasted a bit undercooked.
The man who helped us was friendly enough, but sad to say that I would not recommend this joint to anyone looking to eat a decent dinner.
