However, there was nothing done or mentioned (which is fine, but don't ask me for the purpose of my visit if you're not going to do anything unique for it). Anyway, service was a bit slow. My friend and I enjoyed the lychee lemonade, and for food we indulged in camarones rocas, Kampai soup, spicy tuna roll and shrimp fried rice. Most of the dishes were tasty but not extraordinarily so. My fried rice had a distinct flavor that I can't quite put my finger on, but I know it's not exactly enjoyable for me.

The only thing I'd say that threw me off a little was the strong garlicky flavor the broth had. Also the noodles were similar to the instant ramen noodles so the texture isn't the best. The managers are constantly walking around to make sure we are good and if anything is needed. Our waiters were very attentive and so nice. The food was delicious and quick too. The drinks are a must there. We started with shrimp and vegetable tempura which was a great portion and perfectly battered. Then we got the ushi rice with ribeye and this is a must! I got a nigiri piece of uni and so good! My cousin got the atun tostadas which is her fav there. I got the red dragon roll which was very tasty and a 8 pieces. Lastly we had to get the iconic rainbow cake. I was nervous cause im not into sweets that are overly sweet. Let me say this cake had a perfect balance and i was able to eat so much of it ha. Definitely get it!

Several years later I still enjoy it, although now in their San Pedro location. The ambiance is more Japanese and the menu is enormous! Upon arrival we met a group of Japanese friends having dinner and trying things we had never seen before. We were adventurous and tried the fogu soup, gyozas and yakisoba. Since the menu is so big you can never be bored. Additionally, it serves real traditional Japanese dishes that are hard to find in Monterrey where people like tropicalized Mexican maki rolls. This place never disappoints and is a crowd pleaser since both food and service are great. Always recommended!

The service was wonderful, despite us not being Spanish speakers, our server was helpful. We started of with a drink Tokio Slipper (tequila based) which was tasty and nicely decorated . The best part for the meal was the warm butter cake served with vanilla ice cream, it was sooooo good! I also order the Moscow Mule which tasted a bit of the Moscow mule (had more of lemon taste than I'm used to) but good nonetheless. Would recommend this place to anyone!
