Pedigo furniture and the Pedigo family are the definition of small town business. Their customer…read moreservice is beyond reproach and you see that they are deeply involved in the community including providing in house financing to locals who may not qualify for credit at the big retailers. We found pedigo furniture after buying a lake house and we love Brenda, and the rest of the staff at pedigo. It's not unusual for us to pass through and just say hello when in town. They are employing local families, and give back to their community. Sure I've seen a few post on here about where you might save a few dollars if you want to look everywhere else, but I have found their prices to be competitive and in many cases better than you will find in Houston. I guess those complaining about prices don't care about local jobs, local sporting events, the county fair etc. just remember that Berkshire Hathaway (owner of star furniture) isn't at the county fair buying youth project, they aren't sponsoring little league, they aren't giving to the local fire dept. I don't even live nearby but on our weekend visits I've seen them sponsoring all of these things. I hope this business survives forever and we love pedigo furniture and all of the staff. You know how sometimes antique shops smell of moth balls and are so cluttered you feel instantly overwhelmed? This wasn't like that all! Really was well organized and easy to find what I was looking for, which were the vinyls! I did walk away with one for $5. Not a bad price at all. And the other vintage items were wonderful and just waiting for a collector to pick them up! Super pleased. Would visit again.

It just FEELS good to be there. I won't buy jewelry anywhere else from here on out. The petrified wood is mind boggling! The quality and the prices are worth the drive. The people are so kind and welcoming. I can't wait to go back! (My advice, stick to the old buildings and original site. Part of the family have started a new area next door to it and they are aggressive, pushy, and all to happy to gossip about their family next door. It is a 180 degree turn around from the welcoming atmosphere next door.)

Don't get me wrong, I love Bobbie Gentry Niki Hoeky song and I was hoping the store would be as…read moreunique as the song, but I wasn't favorably enjoying the items sold. This is what you call an antique farmhouse decor store and they sell just that. The only thing I didn't spot was Jadeite to match the mix. There was one booth in particular that had some Avon glass decanters and figurines, every price on the tag was $10. If you go to any other antique shoppe, that price wouldn't match. There was some kitschy home decor that I considered buying, but the price wasn't right and the items here are more novelty to look at. Even the black and white photos of random people were $3 a piece. Most of them were not actual photos, but postcards that were ripped off of a host site. The "antique" store was more of a co-op shop for a photo booth. I noticed a round table that was affordable, but even the chairs sold separately for the "set". The store cashier didn't appear friendly to out of towners, but boy didn't I hear him greeting everyone else in the store and even the locals with a smile. Now, if you can't show hospitality across the board to everyone then this shop isn't my cup of tea. I was uninterested to even finish walking around the whole store.
