I have been to this salon a few times and had my nails dipped, but last Monday afternoon I had them do a full manicure with a gel color finish. By Wednesday morning one nail already had a spot where the polish had come off. I was out of town for the holiday and in the course of those few days six of my nails had the top coat literally peeling off, so I went there today to have them fix my nails, and the two men at the front desk said it would be taken care of, but when I was seated the manicurist said they only guarantee the gel nails for 3 days so I would have to pay to have them repaired with new nail polish! I have had gel manicures for a decade and have NEVER had this happen and for the salon to not be willing to fix the problem with a totally lame guarantee is poor customer service at best!! I visited here several times and Mimi normally does my nails. I visited and Sarah did my nails and they are just horrible. I told the owner and she tried to reshape them and they look decent but still she just didn't do a good job. It's like she skipped steps and I had full in with plain gel polish. There was another lady in there complaining stating she had gotten a manicure 2 days ago and all polish was lifting. She said they told her they would charge her to repaint all her nails. That just isn't good service and most of the nail techs don't do a good job. They advertise with their TVs with ads as if they can do all these fancy designs when in fact I don't believe they can. Careless and don't even think that an appointment means anything. Came in for a new set ( the old nails was just overlay) they started soaking my existing acrylic off (which is never the way they have done this) put me in the back row and have been sitting here now for 30 minutes. I removed my own acrylic other wise my fingers would still be lopsoaking in acetone. Not one person has come to check on me. When my friend and I visited I expressed my concern and was told "sometimes we forget to hang up the phone." It was courteous of them to offer a beverage and be on schedule. My husband goes for the massage benefits as he gets knots in lower legs. We always request a higher package for him, for that reason. This time however, Kim did not give him the full treatment. When we went to pay, they charged us for the higher package, we stated the fact that he did not receive the extra massage time, hot stones or other perks to this package. The lady insisted we pay full price. I paid with credit card so I can dispute the transaction. there are many options for us in the Florissant area, we will not be returning to a dishonest establishment. I just left this location at 4:20 they are scheduled to close at 6 PM. I called around 330 and asked if it was somebody there they can do my lashes and they said yes so I get there around 4:20 and they say soon as I walk in they say they're closed for the day I said so when I call why didn't nobody tell me that I was closing early I didn't waste my gas. Waited over an hour and a half for my nails, every time I walked in "10 min" or "15 min" give me REAL TIME so I can know to come back if needed! Then when I questioned if I was next after waiting, and said I understood they were busy, she said no then pointed to another customer that had an appointment. One star for my technician; she was great. However, the place was filthy. There are stains in the carpet and the place smells like fish and stale cigarettes. Nevertheless , the place had good Yelp reviews so I persevered. My mistake. An hour after I received my pedicure, the Polish rubbed off on my fingers when I test it to see if it was dry. It wasn't a sticky like not dry type of thing it was rubbed off like it was chalk on my fingers. I know why, it's because they thin their polish, which is not a cool thing to do. My advice stay away. There seems to be plenty of other nail places around, go to them instead. I'm not from here and I called to see what they could do and they told me to come back which isn't really an option for me. ZERO STARS, NOT RECOMMENDED, & LESSONS LEARNED.!!. A number of nail techs at this nail salon lack customer service skills, are unskilled as nail techs, and cannot communicate. The tech did not tell me that they were out of the toenail color I wanted until AFTER she had taken off my old polish. So I was forced to either leave with nothing or choose another color. On top of that, the nail tech was upset at ME for "wasting her time" having to choose another color. So I ended up getting a color that I was not completely satisfied with. (I believe they knew before they started my service that they were out of my color. Very sneaky, very unprofessional..) Then, against my better judgment, I allowed them to do a basic manicure, using only clear polish. Very poorly done, & only one coat of polish. I asked the tech about the one coat, & she said, or more like, gestured, that that was it. I also had to ask the tech to use clean & sanitary nail instruments, which she didnt at first. I expressed these concerns to the manager, who still charged me for both services. This was Nikki's "second chance" visit. In hindsight, I wish I had not paid for ANY of the services. I am so happy that I started going here. They are clean and have good sanitation practices. They sanitize their implements. They do not use the same nail files, foot files and buffer blocks on the same person. Update: After going a few more times I noticed that they do not properly sanitize their cuticle nippers, toenail clippers, and cuticle pushing. They just put them under running water and put them in packages to make them look sanitized. I was about to get a pedicure and the nail tech opened the package and took the them out and there were old toenail clipping on the plate and in on the implements. Also they dip all the customers feet into the same paraffin wax. So because of unsafe practices I changed my rating from 5 to 3. read more

My first time here today. Really great customer service. Staff seemed like they were having a good time even though it was very busy. Manager/owner was walking around consistently checking in everyone and helping. She offered customers water. I had a basic mani/pedi and it was $35. They did a paraffin foot wax dip that I didn't ask for, so I'm not sure if that was included or just kind of snuck in there. The overall experience and service was fine and the price seemed normal for what they did. The salon was busy but quiet and mellow. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because my polish wasn't cleaned up properly and she left smudges on my toes, and my nails had bubbles in them. I just happened to be in the area and had time to kill and really needed a manicure & pedicure. I happened upon this place and they were actually opening early. The door said 11 am but i walked in somewhere closer to 10:45 am. This place immediately scored points for me because of the decor and cleanliness of the entire salon. More modern updates, neutral colors and tons of stations for both pedicures and manicures. I was greeted as soon as I entered and once we established the services to be rendered I was offered the regular polish or gel. During my pedicure I noticed the technician taking extra care with clipping and polishing. Very meticulous. I was probably 10 min into my pedicure when I was informed that the girl for my nails would begin working on my nails as well to help ensure a speedy visit. Triple points! The old nail salon I went to would have you waiting for an hour (they refused appointments) and then in the middle of your services stop to service other people and I would spend 4 hours in a nail salon. Yea ... I'm ashamed to admit that craziness. Any-who.. Back to Nikki Nails ... So I had the manicure started and the pedicure was excellent! There was an orangey scented scrub used on me feet that left them feeling incredibly soft. My pedicure was concluded with a paraffin wax dip on my feet and now they're soft as a new born baby's bottom! I finished my manicure up at one of the stations and it was done quickly and efficiently. I'm extremely picky and have been going to the same nail salon since I was 16 but I would feel totally comfortable coming back to Nikki Nails. Total time spent here: 45-50 minutes!!! Say whaat??!? I never need much scrubbing but it feels good to have it done. Let me tell you guys about this nightmare manicure. I have NEVER had a manicure this bad. When I got there (at 6, so I expected there to be a little wait), there was no one available to do a full set so they started me on my pedicure. The manager or owner offered me a water to start-- never got it. No problem, there's a lot going on. I waited for someone to come start and by the time they did, the tub for my feet had to be restarted after sitting for barely 15 minutes. The woman who did my pedicure also did my manicure. She was rough and inattentive and when it was almost finished, they were trying to get me set up for my manicure. I should've known when the woman next to me told me she didn't do nails with the manager sitting right there. At this point in time I've been here for 45 minutes already and they'd barely finished the pedicure. So the manager talks to the woman doing my nails and tells me she's gonna start me. I asked her if she did nails and she nodded her head so I thought it would be fine. I wanted medium-short coffin nails and not only did she not know how to do it, but I had to ask her to start over because they looked so ridiculous! They were all cut at different points, they were way too thick, and the shape wasn't right. After having her start over and checking the shape, I thought it would be fine. WRONG! Somehow, after restarting, they were thicker than the first time! I was already fed up so I just wanted her to paint them so I could leave because I had already been here for 2.5 hours. For some reason she kept trying to get me to do gel after I told her I didn't like them? As soon as she put the top coat on, I was out of there. I figured I could chalk it up and I only needed them for a weekend road trip, so it should be fine. I sat in cars and hotel rooms for 3 days and I woke up to a pinky nail in my bed. So now I have a list of problems: the acrylic doesn't even fit my nails, my cuticles are nowhere to be found, they're shaped weird, and now they're jumping ship without ever having been used. A couple days pass and nails keep popping off to reveal that when the woman who didn't do nails did mine, that she cut my actual nails when she shaped the acrylic. I thought I looked like Jurassic Park before? Whew chile. No wonder she didn't do nails. I have been coming here for several months now. And I can honestly say, this is the ONLY place that can do my nails the way I like them. Now granted I only get a fill in here and I have had the pleasure of trying several people to see how they are. The prices make sure to confirm before they start services. They make up as they go along depending on the person and the length of ur nails. Also there is hardly any wait before 5pm, then it gets crazy. Appointments don't matter bc I see ppl get upset all the time. Henry, Ann and Joe are the best. As is the cute chick with the hand and arm tattoos.
