Beware of staying at any hotels owned by Omkar Hotel, LLC and operated by Nightstar Lodging, LLC, especially if you're in the Sylva area. My recent stay at their independently owned Holiday Inn Express left me deeply dissatisfied and out of pocket. First and foremost, they charged me an exorbitant $125 for what they claimed were blood stained bedsheets and towels. However, upon closer inspection, it was evident that the supposed "stains" were just a few drops of BBQ sauce. I find it ludicrous that they would try to pass off minor spills as irreversible damage and then demand such an outrageous cleaning fee. To make matters worse, the customer service was abysmal. Despite numerous attempts to reach out, it was nearly impossible to get in touch with a manager regarding this issue. When I finally did, they adamantly insisted that I had left blood all over the linens, despite photographic evidence clearly showing otherwise. Throughout my 13-night stay, I received no housekeeping service whatsoever, and the staff's attitude towards my requests was consistently rude. On one occasion, I was reprimanded for following instructions given in a letter left outside my room regarding trash disposal. Adding insult to injury, they even attempted to charge me a cancellation fee of $50 when my plans unexpectedly changed, i would suggest if you do stay here just book 1 night, they are not busy here and if you should decide to stay longer you wont get charged an extra $50 to change your plans. In conclusion, my experience with Omkar Hotel, LLC and Nightstar Lodging, LLC was nothing short of a nightmare. Their dishonesty, poor customer service, and predatory pricing practices have left me deeply disillusioned. Save yourself the headache and steer clear of their properties. read more
