There have been so many changes in recent years due to the new addition to Westgate Elementary School next door. The parking lot coming in off Hascall is completely different. The park itself had some construction in recent years. The scary and probably dangerous tunnel has been leveled and replaced as has the sidewalks, stairs, and pathways around it. There's all new playground furniture. The dense tree line separating the park from the mortuary next door is gone. There is still a lot of open land to walk my dogs. I always feel pretty safe here, especially now, though there are always some randos sitting alone in their cars but I suspect that's all parks.

My daughter and I spent awhile upstairs in the kid's area. They have some cute plastic food toys with a kitchen attached to the wall. Even though she's older that kept her entertained for quite some time. The staff were very nice and had fun chatting with her. The pickup area for books was very organized. Their bathrooms were also clean. My ONLY complaint was parking. We got there very early and parked on the East side of the building no problem. Later when we had to go get lunch their parking lot was full. We found they had additional parking on the West side but they were also full and the streets were packed. I know it was a Saturday, but I can imagine it being very frustrating to park. When we were leaving there was someone doing illegal substances in their van next to our car which was concerning to say the least and no I'm not talking about the devil's lettuce I'm talking about harder stuff. That isn't really the library's fault, but be aware of what's going on. I prefer Millard over A.V. Sorenson but it's not terrible.

This is a pretty good pool, but there are things that maybe they should fix. So my friends and I…read moredecided to go to this pool because we didn't have a membership to any pools and this is only $3 admission. So we paid and changed into our swimsuits and got in the pool. We decided it would be fun to grab some pool noodles just to get a kick out of it. We were holding the noodles in the pool when a lifeguard came up to us and said "noodles aren't allowed in the pool". That made no sense to us because they literally have a shelf full of noodles and floaties out in the open for people to use. So we reluctantly gave them to her. So apparently you can't have rafts or noodles in the pool.

Completed in 1954 and recently refurbished, ICC Recreation Center has hosted a multitude of events from wedding receptions to basketball and volleyball tournaments to banquets, funeral luncheons and fundraisers" Well I'd call that well rounded. It's affiliated to the Catholic church next door, and I recently attended a 30th birthday party in the bowling alley section. No food sold, but drinks were available for purchase. The bday hosts catered food and cake, and it was actually a really nice laid back evening of drinks, bowling, and food. They had a loud speaker system for music too. I drive by this church often enough and had no idea this was attached!

Beautiful winery, we drove into the driveway and looks like a house. The backyard is a hill and you can see the vineyards. The inside was very spacious, suited for large groups and private parties. The patio and more seating in the backyard. They serve finger foods, pizza, and charcuterie boats. The bar is on the left as soon as you enter the building, review the list of wines they offer, you can do a flight or by glass. They don't offer tasting, but can give you a small sample prior to choosing a glass. Service was great, they gave me a pager for the food. We had a carrier for my wine and open seating anywhere. Also bottles are available for purchase if you liked the wine.
