It was a druken night, and I had just landed an hour ago but I was determined to find a good meal. I booked my reservation for 8:30pm, and arrived 10 minutes prior to just a short wait. Make sure to steer to the right, and up the elevators as there are 2 restaurant check ins at the entrance. I wish I could've come to watch the sunset over the water through the windows so I will make sure to when I next visit. Still, at night there was a distinct ambiance that I found comforting. I originally placed an order for the giant meatball rigatoni but they said it was not available. I then ordered the rigatoni spicy a la vodka that was very creamy, and flavorful. The bread appetizer was nice, warm, and fluffy. Service was relatively quick, and my water glass was never empty. At the end of my meal, I even received a bracelet that I found so freaking cute...although I lost it. I ended up paying in American dollars to which they accommodated me, and provided pesos back. If you're stuck in a resort with boring repetitive food.. then you gotta make a reservation at Nicoletta's ! Got on Open table and booked the reservation super easy and quick I was craving Italian food and lots of people raved about This spot. I must say the place is absolutely beautiful and romantic very intimate and cozy vibe! As we entered, we were directed to the elevators that brought us to the top floor where Nicolletta staff were patiently awaiting us. First off, seated quickly service phenomenal except for one guy that seemed uninterested and didn't not want to be there.. always on his phone most of the time ( Eric) I believe but otherwise everyone was super friendly and pleasant and top notch service nonetheless. We got a wine menu figured out what we wanted and I had to try the lobster bisque and Mozzarella spheres. They came out quickly with fresh focaccia bread and had a nice presentation of Olive oil with balsamic drops and handwhipped butter on the side for the freshly made bread! I had my lobster bisque.. 4/5 presentation wise it was pretty sloppy but the soup had thick cuts of lobster and it was delicious wow super recommend Parmesan Spheres were deelish as well 3.5/5 Lamp chops 3/5 were good a little bit medium and chewy to my liking! Charcuterie board 5/5 fresh cuts of top meats , the prosciutto was amazing was fabulous and Super happy with getting one of the last ones available My main dish 1/5 Fettucine Alfredo prepared inside a cheese wheel.. not sure what to say without being rude.. the sauce ruined it.. it tasted too fake for me.. and ruined the beautiful Grana Padano cheese .. whatever the maître D did added the liquid to the beautiful cheese .. ruined it. The sauce itself was awful.. tasted like Cheese Whiz .. :/ and as he poured in into the amazing cheese wheel it just did not taste real. I wish I skipped the hype and never got it in the first place. This is 5 star service & food - but what you would expect from a restaurant of the Grupo Anderson's family. Newer to the scene for us, they weren't there last time we were in Cancun so this was such a treat to discover. Location is across from the high-end luxury mall. About a 20 min. walk from La Isla or 5 min. taxi. We arrived without a reservation but were seated immediately (thanks to kids needing to eat around 5:30pm). Food was fresh and flavorful. Homemade pasta and you can taste the difference! We ordered pasta made tableside with the cheese wheel! The extra special delight was the kids dessert that came in its own lunchbox (that you keep) that had cookies to decorate. Such a big hit with our toddler! We loved everything about the meal, experience, service, and ambiance. Their presentation of food was exquisite. They brought out cute bracelets for us and a complimentary chocolate treat at the end. Visited this place while in Cancun after hearing about it online. It turned out to be one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. From the moment I walked through the door, service was amazing. They serve complementary bread and butter which were so so good and a perfect start to the meal. To start off I ordered the parmesan spheres and and the Fiorella. The parmesan spheres were so good and came in the most delicious pepper sauce. I could have just kept eating these as my meal LOL. The Fiorella was really good but super sweet so if that's not your thing do not get it. The presentation was too cute though...it came in a stileto! I loved it. For my entrée I ordered the truffled semolina risotto and it was amazing!!! This is only a 4oz portion but it was super filling! Throughout the entire time, the staff was extremely attentive and did not let me even see an empty glass of water. The dessert menu is on a tablet where you can see super creative and elaborate videos of each dessert they offer. It will make you crave every single thing! This was genius on their part. I got the cookie and it was amazing but honestly I doubt you could go wrong with any choice you make. The cost of dinner is about the same as what you would pay for a luxury dinner anywhere else (100+per person) but absolutely worth it. My family of 4 decided to try this place after all the wonderful reviews. To start, what an elegant place with such a beautiful vibe. Upon entering the decor makes you feel like you are in a little town in Italy with all their beautiful decor. The staff were absolutely so welcoming and attentive beyond measure. We were welcomed with complementary warm focaccia bread which was fabulous. We also started off with the polenta fries and Caesar salad which we were very pleased with. My boyfriend and I split the bucatini which was fabulous and enough to share. My parents ordered the fettuccine which was spun in the cheese wheel. Unfortunately, the pasta was not hot by the time it hit their plate and pasta was a bit too hard. A side of carrots were ordered and they were very sweet which we were not a fan of. The service was so fast and waited a short time for our food to be delivered all in all. The drinks were very fresh and fun! They had a large selection of cocktails and wines. I heard about this place and decided to give it a try when I was in mexico. I took the city bus to the restaurant. The restaurant is on the second floor. As soon as you walk into the restaurant all you can say is wow. The decor is amazing and the staff of top notch. The food was amazing as is the decor. I had the following Antipasti plate. The prosciutto and the cold cuts was so fresh and you can tell it's imported from Italy. The cheese were nice and you can taste and smell the freshness. Up next was the lamb chops. They were good but I had better. A little overcooked and lack of seasoning. The pasta was fettuccine Alfredo and was in a parmesan wheel. Prior to my reservation. I looked online everywhere for dress code. No where did it say anywhere online about dress code. I was wearing a sleeves shirt. For men it is not allowed they handed me an employees shirt and told me I had to wear it. Since I was with a group of ppl I had no choice. I wore the shirt. Which felt embarrassing. I ordered some pasta and they asked if I wanted chicken I said yes. My pasta arrived and the waiter had a seperate plate of some dry chicken he proceeds to put that on my plate it looked disgusting. I told him I didn't want that he didn't care and left it there and charged us for it even tho nobody ate it. Also women everywhere with strapless tops. It is not the 1800s and Cancun is a beach town. I dont know where to start! This was probably one of my favorite dining experiences ever! From start to finish everything was fantastic. The attention to detail is the most memorable quality. The service was great. Ivan and Angel made sure we had a great time. Ivan explained everything and was just such a warm and friendly person. The restaurant has a great vibe. Music is great. It is so clean. Bathrooms kept impeccable. The food was excellent. The drinks...exceptional. My husband and I enjoyed the bread with an array of spreads. The calamari were crispy and grilled lemon that we squeezed over was a great touch. The squash blossoms with cranberry drizzle are a beautiful and plentiful option. I went to Nicoletta for my birthday and it was an amazing dinning experience, from the waiters to the food and ambiance, everything was perfect. Our server and his assistant, Arnold and Tony, gave us the best service. They made great recommendations on food and beverage, were super friendly, and were excellent servers. I feel like we ate everything, but the standouts had to be the beef carpaccio and the Alfredo made in the parm wheel topped with truffles. The beef carpaccios was sliced perfectly thin, had delicious greens on top with some rich olive oil. I could have eaten a whole second dish of it. The Alfredo was delicious, complex but simple, flavorful and rich, and a fun experience to watch them make it table side. At some point in the meal they bring out an olive oil sampler where you can try their different house olive oils. Yes, it is a sales tactic to try and get you to buy some olive oil, but they aren't pushy, and you get to try some good olive oil! Save room for desserts, because the desserts are standout and they really put on a show. We got the "Kiss Me", which is a chocolate mold of some lips, and it comes with a hammer. You break the chocolate lips with the hammer and underneath is a creamy, rich cheese cake. AMAZING! I would go back for desserts alone. They also brough out a little birthday surprise with a sparkler which made me feel special. They finished the meal with some complimentary truffles that really just felt like the perfect little ending. Ambiance is absolutely incredible at this restaurant, and all servers work together to make you feel like you are the top priority. We watched the sunset from our table. I saw some reviews prior to going saying the food is lacking in flavor, which is untrue. The flavors are subtle the same way they are in Italy. The food was delicious. You can try multiple olive oils with the fresh homemade focaccia. Both of our meals were made tableside. We weren't drinking, but the mixologist comes right up to your table and offers to make anything you'd like. The whole dinner feels like a show. Came here because the ambience and decor looked beautiful, but don't let all these 5 star reviews fool you. While the waitstaff was kind and attentive, the food was awful and went downhill throughout the night. The appetizers were mostly bland and flavorless but it was extremely off putting when our bruschetta came out completely burnt on the bottom, and the meat on top looked like processed factory mush. Next one of the pastas we ordered was just straight dunked in oil with no seasoning and was extremely unenjoyable. Additionally, the other two pastas were dry and lacked flavor as well. The most recommended experience was the table side fettuccini Alfredo. This is suppose to be a traditional Italian restaurant but traditional Italian Alfredo dosnt have a bucket of cream dumped in it, and the worst part is this flavorless creamy mush pasta gave me the worst food poisoning of my life and totally derailed our vacation, it was so heavy and gross. All the meat was overcooked and the desert was once again flavorless creamy garbage. They need to learn that dumping heavy cream on something dosnt magically make it taste good. Once we stepped inside, the atmosphere felt classy; dress nice because one person in our party was wearing a tank top and they gave him a Nicoletta t-shirt to wear for the duration of our lunch (lol). The decor was really pretty with a lot of nice plants and leaves along the ceiling, not to mention the little swing photo op and view of the lagoon. The restaurant is gorgeous, our servers....Charly and Regina were fantastic, both hostesses (downstairs and upstairs) were so nice and the food was overall amazing! We did not love the calamari (too breaded) but the manager came over apologized and took it off the bill. The barata salad is to die for delicious and all the pasta dishes we ordered were fabulous.
