Don't go just to buy wine, go sit down with the owner with whom you can talk politics and kids. Ask for what you dream of (oaky chardonnay in our case) and he will bring it out. He also will tell you if it's expensive or not. If you speak a little French and go in as if you were invited, you will be welcomed and you might actually want to sit at the eclectic tables for while and sip wonderful French wines. My family leaves around the corner and I felt at home.
